Chapter sixty-six( New plan)

Nengi's Pov:

A satisfying smile curled on my lips as I watched how nervous and tense she looked. I know that Virginia and Joyce were just trying to make her feel at ease which annoys the shit out of me. No matter how much I tried to deny it, the more I stare at those faces of her it reminds me that if care is not taken that she did be the future luna of this pack, it scares me at times. But noticing that the siblings didn't acknowledge her presence gave me some certain hope that I still have a chance to fix things and make them alone in my favor. I choose Jessy for her as her maid because Jessy is easy to control and manipulate which will make my plan smoother.

"Alpha….Alpha!!......Alpha…. We were still eating when one of the warriors bashed into the door as he struggled to come inside, the guards at the door held him right not to let him in. His shouting draws everyone's attention.

" What's going on…..?" Virginia barely whispered as everyone's eyes were fixed on the commotion going on at the entrance door. Alpha Den narrowed his brow in confusion.

"Let him in……." He commands with authority.

"What a nuisance…." My father grumbled beside me. I disgustedly stared at the warrior as he walked him, I watched in anticipation as curiosity was visible in everyone's faces and eyes as they followed the warrior every damn step.

"Greetings….." He submissively bowed down.

"Why do you want to see me……?" Alpha Den went straight to the point.

"I am sorry for disturbing you, I didn't know you guys were eating…." He apologized.

"What is done has already been done, so tell me why are here….?" Alpha Den asked.

"We found a dead body around the packed garden during our patrol this morning….." He muttered as everyone gaped in terror. I silently smiled with my father through the mind link as we also forged surprise.

"Not again!!....….." Alpha Den annoyingly mumbled.

"Who and where exactly…?" Derrick asked with curiosity.

"What is going on? What is happening in this pack," Nicholas confusingly uttered

"Young Alphas, it is Mr. Ben…… his body was found around the packed garden hidden behind the tree," he says.

"What the!!….. This is not possible," Derrick snapped in our direction with rage and burning anger.

"Denny, calm down, please what is he talking about….. Who is Mr. Ben?" Virginia asked as everyone confusingly gaze at him.

Swallowing, he let out a bitter laugh before he muttered "He is my guard……

" Guard….." Alpha Den doubtly asked.

"Yes, just guard…." He countered with his eyes fixed on my father who gave him a wicked smile that it is not yet over, only the three of us understood what was going on here. Derrick was trying to control his anger as he and my father kept exchanging a glare.

"You sure that he was dead….." Alpha Den questioned.

"Yes, Alpha, his body was slaughtered into pieces……." The warrior answered.

"Denny calm down……" Virginia tenderly muttered, I just rolled my eyes at them. I have this feeling that my father's hand is in the death of the so-called man with the way that he was carelessly glancing at them and the type of look that he was giving Derrick. Like a proud and satisfying smile. Like telling him that he can't do anything with the way that Derrick looked, I know that he knew who might have killed the supposed man.

"How come Mr. Ben is your guard because it doesn't make sense…… I know all your men so tell me how come he is one of your men," Nicholas suspiciously asked Derrick not minding that we were all present.

"I said that he is one of my men and that's for now," Derrick replied, he looked tense and uneasy, or should I say frustrated.

"Something is not adding up, there is something that you aren't telling us……" Nicholas voiced.

"I owe nobody any explanation……" Derrick muttered.

"And I demand an answer right now!...." Banging his hand on the table he roared.

"Haha…..funny," nodding his head Derrick mumbled.

"Yes, I support Nicholas, something is not adding up here….." I reluctantly declared.

"Nengi…….." Virginia indirectly signals me to calm down as Derrick murderously glared at me. His glare scares the shit out of me but I won't allow him to see that he has that effect on me so with a heads up I stared back at him.

"Yes, Nicholas is right, I think there is something that Derrick wasn't telling us because we all know that Mr.Ben is a detective and we all know his job here so tell us how he suddenly started working for Derrick within a twinkle of an eye……" My father boldly states.

"You all have to calm down, I know that he had an explanation but with all this question is not helping the matter at all…….. Give him time to talk with his father and mother and maybe his brother before he could open up to us," Mira muttered, causing me to roll my eyes at her. Who invited her into this conversation? Why did she have to talk, huh?

"That's a brilliant idea…." Virginia smiles at Mira, I hate that everyone is staring at her as if she did the right thing. I hate that Alpha, Luna, the beta everyone here sees it like she was right even Derrick is staring at her with admiration but in all my smirk was still plastered on my lips as Nicholas stares at her with irritation and anger.

"And who asks for your opinion here….." Nicholas cruelly rumbled at her.

"I…… I mean….. That the….. She stammered as no word seemed to be coming out. Our eyes connected as I devilishly smirked at her, she glared at me but cast her head quickly as Nicholas growled at her in anger.

" I ask for her opinion……" Derrick spoke up before Virginia could talk.

"Haha…… really, what a silly way of rescuing her," Nicholas taunts. Derrick stared at him for some minutes before looking elsewhere.

"Everybody out! Breakfast is over, I need to have a word with my family….." Alpha Den motioned for everyone to leave with his hand as his face looked hazardous and cold.

"Mr. Philip and Peter you people should go and have a look at the corpse and get me feedback…….. We need to find the culprit without wasting any more time, now everyone leaves……." We were dismissed. Standing up I noticed as Nicholas and Derrick kept giving Mira a heated gaze which made me angrily stomp out of the place.

Slamming the door of my room I fumed in anger, this can't be happening. They can't hate her now but in the next minute they were loving her, something needed to be done and very fast. I can't watch her continue rubbing those things on my face, it sucks to see her getting all the attention and respect that belongs to me. Why were Nicholas and Derrick not rejecting her?

"Someone doesn't look happy…." I quickly jumped up, "Father, what are you doing here," I surprisingly mumbled.

"Am I not allowed here……" he asked with a drawled eyebrow.

"You are allowed, dad is just that I wasn't expecting you and how did you enter with the door closed…….." My eyebrow caressed up in suspicion.

"I have my ways….." He amusingly muttered.

"Uhmmm…..interesting," I smiled back.

"So tell me why you are angry….." His face hardened as he asked.

"Is about the turn of events…." I mumbled.

"What happened to the turn of events….?"

"Dad, tell me do you know what happened to the so-called man?" I narrowed my eyes.

"Yes, I killed him….." I reluctantly answered.

"Dad…." I undoubtedly stared at him.

"You think I don't know that you are the one that planned on killing that low-life omega, Angel….." He spits the name with disgust.

"Yea!..... Though she is not yet dead," I answered defeated.

"I won't deny that I feel disappointed that you couldn't kill that fry of a thing despite my blood running in your veins," he said, annoyed.

"Dad, it was just a minor mistake," I nervously mumbled.

"Minor mistake indeed, if you couldn't kill her, tell me how you could kill that butterfly Mira," he asked with annoyance.

"I will try harder this time around but dad why did you kill that man," I voiced.

"He was sent by Derrick to spy on you…."

"What!!!...... How didn't I have an idea?" I expressed surprise.

"How could you have an idea, when you were allowing your emotion to get the best of you…." My father grumbled.

"Dad!!....." I whined, "But how did you know?" I asked with confusion and curiosity.

"I told you that I am always around you and will always have my eyes on you but you thought I was joking right….." He laughed wickedly.

"I have noticed him countless times spying on you to the extent he videoed you choking that brat Angel to death….." He uttered, taking me by surprise "So I did the only thing at that moment to kill him as I plucked his throat out of his body before he could reach Derrick….." He devilishly smirked.

"Thanks, dad but what about the video. ……" I asked with worry.

"Stop being nervous over small issues….. I have it sorted already," he expressed with anger.

"The game is now tough," he mumbled "The siblings were now against each other because of one single soul…."

"Mira…." I said with resentment.

"Yes, so we need a new plan….." My father announced.

"What plan…..?" I muttered with a smile.

"We need to use this moment to recruit more rogues to be able to take down this pack….." He openly declared.

"But dad, what about that wench….?" I was confused.

"You focused on her this time, make sure to have her killed because that's the only way to pull her out of this place…… you know what to do, please don't fail me this time around" he sounds serious.

"And for Nicholas and Derrick, I know what to do with them….." He let out a brutal smile.

"Let the war begin…………….
