‘No idea. It will be better if we keep our expectations low or null. Also, Mark Manson once said, ‘You must love without expecting anything in return; otherwise, it’s not true love. And do you know when Charles Dickens said, ‘I loved her against reason, against promise, against peace, against hope, against happiness, against all discouragement that could be? I personally felt that.’
'I'm not commenting on anything on that because these stupid theories go over my head.' Night growled before disappearing into his mind.
At exactly 9, Wylder pressed the doorbell of Tiara’s house, and within seconds, she opened the door. The guards at her house might have already informed her about his presence.
"Hey." She greeted him with a big smile on her face.
"Hi," Wylder smiled at her back while Night scoffed at them, acting as if nothing happened.
‘HUMANS’
His innocent human didn’t want to check her out, but he took a minute to run his eyes from top to bottom. She was wearing red shorts and a white boyfriend T-shirt. He loved her long legs. He watched her roll his tongue over her legs.
Tiara cleared her throat when she realized what he was doing. Immediately, Night looked up; her breath hitched when she realized who was in control.
"Need fucking cough syrup?" He asked, walking towards her and wrapping his hand around her waist.
"Night…" She called his name in a low tone, not knowing what to do next. The next thing she knew, he slammed his lips against her hungrily. He smirked when Tiara gave in easily without fighting. She wanted him as much as he wanted her. Placing her hand on his chest, she enjoyed kissing him. A soft moan escaped her mouth.
She didn’t realize when his hand traveled from her waist to her ass until he squeezed it. She gasped, and in no time, Night slipped his tongue inside her mouth.
Breaking the kiss, he pulled himself away, closed the door, and looked sharply at Tiara.
"I didn’t call you for this." Tiara clarified, watching him look at her hungrily.
"You called me for dinner, and I'm going to eat my dinner." Night said huskily, wrapping his hand around her waist again, observing her every move, giving her time to push him, but she didn’t.
"I’m not your dinner, Night." She said it quietly; her voice was breathless. "Try to manhandle me, and I will break your head." She warned him even though her words were nothing but empty threats. Night looked at her in amusement before pushing her away, making sure that she wouldn’t land on her buttocks. After that, he gave control to Wylder and disappeared deep into his mind.
"Why didn’t you control your Lycan?" She complained after enjoying kissing him for more than a minute.
"Don’t complain. You’re reaping what you sow. I warned you not to involve him in all this. Now, you can’t expect a beast to behave like a gentleman after tasting you because he is not me."
"I… uuhh…" Tiara didn’t know what to say. Moreover, she didn’t miss that Wylder was stern, not gentle, and soft as usual. "Thank you for coming." She said it with a smile, changing the topic.
"Hmm"
"Come, I'll order our favorite food tonight." She said, acting like nothing happened back then, but she knew that she had to apologize. Generally, she used to get mad, and he used to pamper her, but this time, the roles had been reversed.
Tiara stepped towards him to grab his hand when he stepped backward.
"Please, don’t. I have narrowed my mentality; who knows, I will assume things?" He muttered, walking towards the dining table on his own.
‘Damnit!’ She cursed her mentality and followed him. Unlike her, Wylder didn’t have the habit of breaking things or hitting people in anger.
They silently ate their dinner. Tiara kept looking at him, but he didn’t look at her even once. Wylder knew she was watching him, but he didn’t lift his head and kept his focus on the food.
"I’m sorry, Wild. I didn’t mean those words to you. I mean, you’re not a narrow-minded person." She spoke softly.
Silence.
He was still busy eating his dinner.
"I’m sorry! Please forgive me." She spoke again. "Let’s do one thing. You can also say mean things to me, and in that way, we can settle the score." She suggested it, but she knew that he would never do that. She resumed eating her salad and started thinking of ways to convince him to talk to her. She had never done this before.
