Season 2 "Prologue"
It's been a month since Yazahib left Daniel in that hotel room, in need of talking to the man she loves she decided to follow him home but she found herself disappointed. Yazahib had disappeared and showed no signs of life. Daniel felt herself dying when she searched for him to no avail. How could he leave her alone? Why did he disappear from her without giving her the opportunity to explain? How was it possible that their relationship had ended over something like hiding the fact that she didn't want to get pregnant? Why if he knew she didn't want a baby would he get mad? Clear! He thought she wanted it because of the way she smiled when she heard him talk about babies.
Daniel asked herself so many questions that hurt her heart, she thought about so many things that it broke her soul more than necessary. It's what happens, Yazahib was gone and would not come home, he would not return to her.
"Teddy, please" Simone sat next to his friend "you have to get up from there, it's been a month and you're just crying. You must stop crying and start your life again.”
Daniel sobbed when she heard it, she didn't want to give up, she wanted to wait for the man she loves, "he's just taking his time to think,” she looked at him, “he'll come back to me, he loves me." Simone sighed and hugged Daniel, she was hurting herself by waiting for him.
"Do you know why Derek is always by your side?" That question confused Daniel, she looked at her friend, confused, "do you remember when I pressured you to meet someone? Do you remember I would take you to a friend?” Simone smiled, “that friend was Derek.”
Daniel straightened and looked at her friend, “he's gay, he's your ex," she said with more confusion in her eyes.
"No, he's not gay and he's not my ex. You guessed that when you saw him calming me,” Simone sighed deeply, “Teddy, he was claiming that you were his. You were destined for him and Yazahib got in the way,” he looked at the watery eyes of his friend, “I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, but I didn't want to take sides. Yazahib and Derek are my friends and besides, I didn't want them both to fight over you.”
Daniel squeezed her eyes shut, “did Yazahib know?" She opened her eyes to find her friend shaking his head.
"He didn't know it but Derek did, honey, I am telling you this so you will know that there is a man who loves you secretly, a man who hasn't left you alone this month. Yazahib feels betrayed and we both know that he is very spiteful. Teddy, Yazahib will not return and you are wasting an opportunity to be happy and live to the fullest.”
Daniel burst into tears and hugged her friend, she knew that she should not wait for Yazahib, but her heart belongs to her first love, she belongs to the man who had her for the first time.
"Oh, here you are,” Derek walked into Simone's living room, "I brought ice cream and pizza." He smiled with pain in his heart from seeing the sadness in the eyes of the woman he loves. How could Yazahib be an idiot? How could Yazahib leave such an extraordinary woman? If only she saw him and she needed him as she does with Yazahib, he would show him that he truly loves her.
"Thank you," Simone stopped hugging Daniel and got up to take in hands the things Derek kindly brought them like every day of the last month, “I'll go make a garlic bread to eat with the pizza,” he gave a last look at his friend, his eyes told her that it was time to let go and see the opportunities in front of her.
"How are you, Daniel?" Derek sat down next to her. Daniel stared at nothing, she didn't want to stop waiting for Yazahib but Simone was right, she knew Yazahib and knew that he would not come back for her, why would he? He can have as many women as he wants.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Daniel looked at Derek, “why didn't you tell me you loved me?"
Derek gasped when he heard that question, had Simone confessed to her? Of course that's it, who else could have told her? "I ... I didn't know you and by the time I did, Yazahib was already in the middle," he sighed, “you didn't have a relationship yet but I knew there would soon be one."
Daniel felt angry, if he had not been a coward now she would not be suffering for Yazahib, “you should have told me! You should have come to me and take advantage of the fact that I did not have a relationship,” she hit him on the chest and Derek hugged her tightly, he felt bad for her suffering. She was right, he should have told her when he had a chance to fight for her. Now he had already lost her because she loves another man and she will no longer love him.
"I'm sorry ... Yazahib is my friend and I ..." Daniel on impulse kissed him, she kissed Derek's lips and that tender, subtle kiss was reciprocated.
"Will you be faithful to Yazahib and put me aside?" She asked, looking into his eyes, “you have always been here with me, you have never left me despite being suffering for another man. You have supported me and you have helped me in my loneliness even though you love me and I loved another man,” she smiled without looking away from his beautiful green eyes, “Derek, you are a good man and I no longer want to cry for someone who doesn't love me, I don't want to let go of my happiness,” she sighed smiling, “and that happiness is what you will give me, right?”
Derek felt his heart race so fast that it seemed like a powerful starter motor, “are you serious? Daniel, will you be my girlfriend?” He was excited and almost screamed when he saw her nod but for a second, his smile faded, “are you agreeing to be with me just because Yazahib isn't here?"
Daniel understood his concern, but she was sure Derek was the man for her and Yazahib would leave her life that very day, "no, I'll be your girlfriend because I know you love me and I know I didn't realize it before, but now I do. You have shown your love for me and I won't continue to ignore it.” Simone smiled when he saw them kiss, finally, his Teddy is ready to be happy.

The day came and Daniel woke up in Derek's arms, the night before after talking for hours she finally gave herself to him. She felt bad that she had done it solely out of spite, she hates herself because she wanted to give herself to him solely for love.
"Good morning beautiful" Derek kissed her lips to seal the good morning, “did you get a good rest?" Daniel smiled, they hadn't slept much. Derek insisted that they should go out.
"Well, I woke up naked and with a handsome man by my side, can you get a better sunrise?” Derek smiled and positioned himself on top of her, penetrating her in the process. Daniel groaned when she felt it. She felt a little bad about starting a relationship with only a month of leaving Yazahib, but what could she do? Give up happiness for the pain in her heart, the pain that a man left her without looking back?
"Of course it can be better,” Derek kissed her lips and began to move delicately. He wanted to treat her like a queen, he wanted her to be his queen and for he would always protect her and he would be there for her. Daniel arched her body, offering each part to Derek. He delighted as he kissed her neck and descended until he reached her breasts where he stopped to fill her nipples with attention.
"God…" Daniel groaned at the delicious sensation Derek was giving her. Derek in bed is tender, delicate and very passionate. Daniel liked that, he locked her like a queen, “uuummm, yeah,” she whispered, sinking her fingers into his red hair.
"I like it when you moan like that,” Derek looked into her eyes with desire and love, "I feel very happy to have you in my arms and not just dreaming about it,” he kissed her lips. "Since Simone told me I fell in love, I know you may think I’m crazy but I’m not.” Daniel forced him to roll over him and now she was the one who was driving Derek's erection into her socket.
“You are not crazy, I love that you have fallen in love with me and that it kills you enough to see me suffer for another man and still stay by my side.”
"Aaaggg," Derek grunted at the movements Daniel was making, that woman is hot and that fascinated him a lot, making love to her is so much better than he imagined.
Time after many gasps, vibrations, and arousal, Daniel and Derek looked at the ceiling, agitated and sweaty, it really is exquisite to make love. "I think it's time for a shower to go wherever you take me."
Derek laughed in amusement and got out of bed, “you're right." He took her in his arms and went to the bathroom to make love to her one more time before showering.

Daniel looked out of Derek's car window, she doesn't know where he's taking her but it was better to be out of the house. The last month she alone remained crying sitting on the sofa with her phone in hand waiting for a call from Yazahib. A call that never came or will come.
"What are we doing at Yazahib's company?" She asked when Derek parked the car in front of the impressive building.
"Do you trust me?" Daniel looked at Derek for a few seconds and finally nodded. Perhaps that was his problem, lately she trusts very quickly, “then come with me.” She sighed and obeyed. She got out of the car and walked with Derek into the building where all eyes were on her. The press was aware of her breakup and she didn't know how they found out, but Derek let her know. Caroline and the daughter of Mr. Hills were given the task of communicating to the world her breakup with Yazahib Meyer.
"Your office?" Daniel smiled as she remembered the first day she was there, but her smile quickly turned sad, Yazahib was fighting for her and now he had just abandoned her.
"Yes, legally you still work for me," Derek helped her sit down and then he did to, "Yazahib never broke the contract." Daniel was surprised to hear that, “but I can't authorize your return. I'm just the architect of the company.”
Daniel frowned in confusion, “so why are you telling me about the contract if you can't get it back?"
"Not him, but I can,” Daniel turned and when she saw Mr. Hills, she smiled and got up to give him a hug.
"Mr. Hills, what a joy to see you," she greeted as she pulled away. Hills's daughter is cruel, but she wasn't swayed by that.
"Hello precious," greeted the man looking at her with a huge smile of happiness, "I'm glad you came. For a moment I thought you would not come," he sighed now looking at him sadly, "I regret what happened with Yazahib."
Daniel still smiling, nodded, “do not worry, I'm fine,” she kept the news that she is now with Derek.
“I'm glad that because as a partner I have shares in this company and I would like very much that you work with Derek. He has told me you're very good despite still being a college student.”
Daniel glanced at Derek and then at the man in front of her, "I ... well ... I ... uh ... yes, yes ... I'm a student but I know a lot about it," she said excitedly and unable to believe that they were offering her a job as an architect.
"Great," Derek applauded. "That's a yes,” he smiled happily.
"I think so," smiled Mr. Hills, "then you start from tomorrow. Today you can go home to end your depression.”
Daniel smiled gratefully and hugged him, "tshank you for being there Mr. Hills" he separated a little and took the man's wrinkled hands in her own "thank you for all your support."
The man on an impulse, kissed Daniel's forehead, “easy, everything will be fine from now on," he said like a father to his daughter.
