Kyle was taking forever to get back, either two things have happened, Carly has seized him as hostage until I get worried and run back to the house or Kaylee is bickering with him at the pack house because of me… he's still in terrible situation in both side, I was getting bored… I wasn't even in the mood to watch Netflix, the trees… the woods were calling me to explore, it won't hurt that much if I go right.

Kyle is an alpha, he will definitely find his Luna one way or another if I ever get lost, I will just make that in case they send a search party for me, I will hide when I see Kaylee and her pack of rebel wolf, who knows they might do to me what Jacob's brothers did to him.

Okay, I'm sounding like I'm scared of Kaylee, honestly, I'm not, I wasn't scared when I was human, so, why should I be now?

The only reason why I shared a tear or two was because of the hurtful words she always spilled out, they seemed like truth.

I shook my head as if that would get her out of my thoughts, I walked out of my room and soon, I was out of the house and into the woods.

I sniffed in mother nature's air, the soft breeze made me calm, I didn't want to transform yet, I didn't know if it would be safe to do that during the day… humans love the woods so much.

Maybe, two teenagers who came for a picnic or date would see a wolf and probably freak out or worse, someone going for a jog might see me then her or his blood pressure will shoot up because they know wolves are vicious..

Here we go with the overthinking, who goes for a jog by 10 11.

Or maybe a wolf hunter might see me, shoot me and take me far away. Away from him, no, I won't loose everything.. I will try to control myself shifting and besides, it was just me.. Nobody to push me over the edge to turn to a wild dog.

I continued my stroll, going deeper and deeper into the thick forest… okay, I'm exaggerating.. I could still see the cabin.

No sign of Kyle yet but…

I could smell a wolf from behind me, oh, I wasn't alone…

Time to familiarize with my fellow specie.

It sounded angry with the gritting of teeth and all that, it wasn't close but I could sense it, it was like he or she was targeting me as a prey… I thought werewolf don't eat humans.

As soon as I turned around to see it, I saw it jump into the air to pounce on me with its mouth wide open, I quickly dodged and that angered it even more.

I squinted my eyes at the wolf to see if I could recognize it, those eyes were familiar but I couldn't place it.

I'm such a fool, an angry looking she wolf is trying to eat up and I don't know why, instead of me to save myself, I'm trying to point out where I know her from.

She ran towards me and I swerved, making her hit a log of wood, okay, now, I'm getting her angry.

It was so early in the morning, why would I want to get into a fight…before I could shift.. the sharp pain I felt on my arm made me realize that I have been attacked from behind, I touched it and saw blood with teeth mark.

If there's anything I hate in the world is to see blood, don't ask me how I survive during my period.

I instantly got infuriated and the proud walk that the wolf had pushed me even more, I shifted quickly as I groaned in pain, I could see shock and terror flash through her eyes…

You weren't expecting that, were you?!

Before her brain could calculate everything, I had already pounced on him, scrapping her face with my claw and biting her neck, she let out a short howl of pain before kicked her making her hit the log of wood again, she got back up as nothing happened just now, she rushed towards me and made an attempt to attack my head but I slapped off again with my claws leaving another scratch, before she could attack me again, two wolves seperated us, the stern she had made my thoughts drift back to the only person that hates me…

Kaylee.

The trio ran off before I could read their thoughts, I shifted back and the pain on my arm came back, I winced as I struggled to go back to the cabin, luckily for me, Kyle came back just in time.

"Babe!" He rushed out of his car to my side.

"What happened to you?" He asked as he supported me back to the car.

"She wolf, that was happened!." I answered sharply.

"You mean Kaylee did this to you?"

"I don't know… I'm not sure.. I think so."

"How did it happen? Wait, let me go and get a first aid box." He said before swiftly disappearing into the house.

He was back in a jiffy, he looked away because I didn't want to see whatever he was doing…. I don't think doctor would be among my dream profession.

" I'm sorry… really sorry." He touched it softly but it still hurt.

I closed my eyes shut as if the pain would go away if I ignore it, he was done in a jiffy and my arm was neatly bandaged.

He dropped the first aid box in the back seat, went into the cabin, brought out a few things drew them in the back seat all in a rush.

"Woah, calm down." I said as he slammed the door shut when he got in.

"I won't calm down! If I find out that Kaylee did this to you, I will kill her with my bare hands and then, take her body to a far place where vultures would eat."

"I shouldn't have gone out, I should have just sat home and watched Lucifer." I stated softly.

"You went out?"

"Yeah, I did. You thought we would have a wolf fight in the cabin and it would still be standing?"

"No, it won't." He answered quietly.

"And what took you so long?"

"Kaylee."

"Wow.. She seems to be the new goddess of chaos." I commented and he ignited the engine and zoomed off.

I was overwhelmed by the thoughts of meeting new people was never my thing and now, there was a high chance of meeting people that won't like me because Kaylee must have given them a spoonful of her poison.

Kyle drove into a secluded mansion in the woods that was fenced high with a big gate, it was totally different from the duplex in the town, it made confused, Kyle's father left him three houses, the duplex, the cabin and the mansion which is also the pack house so the duplex was just a front.

Wow, at least, we have two houses we could go to if we want to get away from this paranormal madness.

A part of me liked the situation of the mansion, it was far away from human civilization, I swear, honey moon with Kyle in this place would be something else.

The gate shut by itself, I was a little bit tensed, I didn't want Kyle to cause a scene because of me… I hate unnecessary drama at first sight.

Some female Omegas came rushing to pack the things from the back seat, Kyle led the way into the house and I followed, the inter decor was more than beautiful, different artifacts were in the house and their family potraits were hung on the wall, Kyle's father, Wesley had the largest portrait, he looked just like his dad.

Different pack members moved here and there, Kyle didn't even announce my presence although some of them acknowledged our presence, he took my hand and we marched to Kaylee's room.

"Kaylee Roy!" He yelled her name as we approached her room.

I could notice that he was super angry, I just hoped he won't hit her, I won't even let that happen.

We got to her room and saw a female Omega tending to the wounds on her face, I remembered when I scratched her and I boiled too.

What did I ever do to her?!

Did it warrant her to come for my life?!

If I wasn't a werewolf, she would have killed me because I won't have been no match for her. She would have hid my body and thrown it in a river and made it look like I drowned.

For jeez sake, I didn't do anything to her, if anything. She's the one who has been trying to cause a rift between my nate and I but I never hired assassins to kill her or tell one of the Omegas to poison her, if I wanted to kill her, it would be easy but I'm not that scared of person.

I can't believe she thinks she's fit to be Kyle's mate, the moon goddess won't even let this good bad boy have a horrible she wolf as a mate, it's as if she's a hybrid of a wolf and a bad witch.

"So, you were the one who tried to kill me earlier on." I voiced out and Kyle rushed to meet her.

He yanked her hair and she winced in pain, "Let me go!"

"Shut up! If I hear one word slip out of your mouth, you would be a dead meat." He warned.

"Now, what on earth did Isabelle ever do to you that pushed you to attempt taking her life?" He questioned.

Her eyes were already red like she has been crying for long, the marks on her face made me feel soft spot for her, why did I attack her face…

It's as if I beat up my own sister that's if I have one.

"How dare you ask me what she has done to me?!" She got upset and pushed Kyle away, freeing her hair from his grip.

"This girl right here! She took everything from me! My happiness and my only drug, we grew up together, you made me believe that we were meant to be, you were always there for me, we were the link to the two packs, everybody admired our relationship including our parents that's why my dad thought you would be the only one to take good care of me.. " She cried out.

"You are such a crazy bitch, we were fucking toddlers, two years old then and you thought we were meant to be and your father didn't tell me shit, he told my dad.."

Kaylee cut off his sentence with hers, "Yes, after my dad passed away, your dad took me in as his daughter and made me your…"

Kyle burst into hysterical laughter making all of us think he's crazy, "Come on, go ahead, say the word… he made you my future Luna." He completed her sentence.

"Yes, he did and you know it, Aiden was even a witness to that, he publicly announced it, you pretended as if you really liked me, you never told me that you weren't comfortable with the arranged marriage, if you told me, I would have backed out, you shouldn't have made the feelings develop far up to this very extent. "

"The year after he died, you started showing me your true colors, you are such a fake person and Isabelle, I pity you so much, you are going to hate the moon goddess for giving you Kyle as a mate." She told me with burning hatred in her eyes.

"You are such a pathetic liar, you never spill out the whole truth, another reason why I can never be yours, here you are painting me as a bad person to your own favour, you won't tell them the reason why I started disliking you was when I found my mate and you killed her in cold blood."

As soon as the words spilled out of his mouth, he realized what he has just said and I was left in utmost shock, it was as if they thought they were the only ones in the room and they were free to reveal multiple secrets.

So, he had a mate before me… I was the second option… the moon goddess gave me to him as a second chance mate.

Her words startled me, I shifted back a little bit in shock.

"Look, Kaylee, if this crazy act of yours continues, I will dump you in an asylum and I will make sure you never come out of there because that's where you belong." He stated.

"You think I'm moved by your stupid threats." She eyed him.

"They aren't threats, trust me, just go one inch close to Isabelle and you would see what happens." He warned and she chuckled.

"Stop this act of yours, stop deceiving her, we both know your cold heart can never love anybody, that's why you pretend." She spoke bitterly.

"Oh, trust me, my heart can love, you weren't worthy to be loved, that's why you never experienced it from my side." He dropped his last statement before pulling me along.

I could see her fist clench and I knew the war wasn't over, I am going to be stuck between… everytime he hurts her… she would hurt me, that's why I'm not going to be vulnerable to anybody including him.
