"Isabelle!"

"Issy."

"Babe!!"

The familiar scent and the calling of my name instantly made my eyes open, my head hurt so badly that I couldn't respond to the call or else, the pain might increase.

I knew who was calling but I couldn't respond, my head and arm hurt so badly, I felt weak to the core, I think he was able to trace me with my scent.

His eyes shun before he ran to my side, "What the fuck happened here?! Are you okay?! Why are you out here? You are supposed to be inside." He threw alot of questions at me in a worried tone.

I was about to tell him what happened when I remembered what escalated in my dream, I wasn't up for drama currently, if I tell him, he might react even worse in the dream, he will officially send Kaylee packing, it's not as if I don't want that but I don't want her to come and hurt us later all because of revenge.

She seemed pretty hurt in my dream and Kyle was so angry, if I tell him, he might end up killing her and then, she would come for me again.

I'm not scared of her but right now, I have so much to deal with and I don't want to add anything to it.

"Ah." I winced in pain.

"I'm so sorry, babe." He pecked my forehead.

"Ummm… I can't remember much, my head hurts so bad."

"It's okay, babe."

"All I can remember, I was attacked." I voiced out.

"Attacked?!" His eyes shun in disbelief..

"Yeah, by a male hunter.. He shot me before I could defend myself, I think his weapon made me weak or something that's why I passed out and also the pain." I lied.

"A hunter?! Do you know what he looks like?!"

"No, I don't… Babe, let's just leave here before he gets back." I tried to dismiss the topic.

"Yeah, we should but if he comes for you again, I will beat him to stupor till he tells me who sent him." He vented out and I suddenly became scared.

It's just a hunter, what if he finds out that it was his ex girlfriend?!

"Come on, let's go." He lifted me off the ground and carried me in bridal style.

It didn't take long before we got back to the cabin, he was about putting me in his car when I protested.

He gave me a confused look, "What's wrong?"

"Ummm, I don't think I'm ready to stay in your pack house just yet." I said.

"Why? I have already packed your stuff there." He replied.

"Well, I have a few clothes here, you know I'm injured and with Kaylee around, she will cause too much drama for my health."

He sighed, "Babe, you are mine and you know Kaylee isn't an issue, I can handle her, I will never let her hurt you, I will fucking kill her if a scratch appears on your body which was caused by her." He threatened and I gulped.

A scratch?

Thank Goodness, I didn't tell him that it was her, he would kill her and give her body to the vultures or wild wolves to feed on.

" I also want to spend some alone time with you as well. " I uttered.

" Don't worry babe, nobody will disturb us, Aiden will be in charge for now, he's my beta, I have to take care of you, you are my responsibility now." He leaned in and placed a small kiss on my lips causing my heart to jump.

I started breathing heavily and a blush appeared on my cheeks," Now, let's get you freshened up then the pack doctor will attend to your wounds. " He ushered me to the passenger's seat and carried me to carefully relax before shutting it and getting into the driver's seat.

He's such a sweetheart, he's my blessing from the moon goddess and I can't thank her enough.

I stayed quiet throughout the ride, thinking about everything, my life was about to change completely, well, as long as I have Kyle by my side, I'm happy but I wasn't completely happy..

I just started my relationship by telling a lie to my mate but it was for the best, the hatred that Kaylee has for me is already enough and if Kyle goes crazy on her, she would be so hurt and I'm not even sure the word hatred would be enough to describe whatever she would feel for me next.

"Babe, what are you thinking about? You shouldn't stress your head or brain." Kyle's word drew me out of my thoughts.

"No, I'm not thinking, I was just staring into space, that's all." I lied again.

Okay, once you tell your first lie, you wouldn't be able to stop, it's like sugar rush.

"By the way, how did it go back in my house, did Carly try to stop you?" I asked him.

"No, she wasn't there but I know she will definitely come for my head tomorrow at school." He chuckled.

"School…." I said sadly.

"Babe, I'm sorry, I know this werewolf thing has ruined your life schedule but you will be alright soon, maybe a month or two." He rubbed my other shoulder that wasn't hurt.

My eyes widened, "A month?! You didn't even say two weeks or three."

"You know everything can't go back to normal, you will have to adjust, learn how to control your mood swings and your strength before you will get back to school or even see Carly because her questions might push you over the edge so I guess, you will have to take online classes. "He stated with his eyes not leaving the road.

My heart broke completely, no more school, no more Carly or Mrs. Stanley, just me, the pack house and loads of unnecessary drama caused by Kaylee.

"Okay."

"I'm really sorry." He apologized.

"For what? You weren't the one who turned me to a werewolf, it's sort of my dad's fault."

"I know, it's just that I know you aren't comfortable with Kaylee being around but I just want you to know that I'm here for you, I will handle her, I promise, I have already told Aiden to distract her."

"Meaning?"

"Make her fall for him by being the better option in sex and love." He cleared the air.

"So, Aiden is better than you in sex?" I smirked and he frowned.

"No, I'm always the better daddy and she knows that even you can confirm that." He winked at me and I rolled my eyes.

"Well, I hope you handle her if not, your pack house will become unbearable by our constant arguement." I warned him.

"Noted, babe."

We drove into the pack house and my anxiety heightened, he touched my hand in an attempt to calm me down.

I relaxed a bit, he got out of the car and came to open my car door which made me to blush.

We got into the house and everybody started bowing to greet us. I wasn't used to this kind of treatment so I just waved gently, Kyle dismissed them saying that he would have a pack meeting later.

We went upstairs and we were heading for our room when we heard a female wince in pain. We traced the sound and realized that it was coming from Kaylee's room, my heart started beating fast, I completely forgot that in the cause of our fight, I injured Kaylee as well.

If I tried to play smart or stop Kyle from seeing whatever was going on, he will get suspicious so I followed him to her room.

We got in to see the pack doctor tending to her wounds, "Oww, it hurts." She squeezed her face.

"What happened here?" Kyle asked as she got in.

"She was attacked." Aiden replied him.

"Attacked?"

"Yeah."

"By who?" He asked and I suddenly faked a painful moan so his attention will be drawn to me.

"Babe, are you okay?" He asked in worry.

I didn't say a word, I only shook my head, "Please, can you attend to her? She's in severe pain and she needs immediate attention." He told the pack doctor politely.

The next line of action turned out to be quite funny, the pack doctor left Kaylee to attend to me.

"Uh, hello. I'm injured here too." She uttered in irritation.

"Yeah but we don't care about that? Do you?" Kyle replied her and she rolled her eyes.

"Who attacked you?" Kyle asked and I let out another painful moan thereby interrupting the interrogation.

If I tried to mind link Kaylee, I'm scared that Kyle would get connected because he's my mate… I hope he doesn't sense how tensed I am.

"It's hurt so badly!." I screamed out.

"I'm so sorry babe, I'm going to kill that hunter when I find him." He said in gritted teeth.

"Hunter?" Kaylee stared at us in disbelief and my heart started beating so fast that I was scared that Kyle or any other person in the room might hear it.
