Chapter 107 Televised
Chapter 107 Televised
Veronica Parker remained silent. Her children aren't quadruplets, but sextuplets.
At least she was relieved that her children didn't say her full name.
Her back was sweaty, and she was really scared that made her drenched into a cold sweat.
Veronica was still pinned at the back of her neck and tried to move, but he heard the sound of Nick Cage crashing down. "Why do you seem so nervous?"
Veronica Parker suppressed the wild and erratic beat of her heart then whispered. "I'm just afraid you won't be happy when you hear that person's name. If you're unhappy, you'll be angry with me, so I'm naturally nervous."
On the one hand, she must face the oppression and danger of Nick, while on the other hand, she has to prevent the six little ones from saying what they should not say.
The nerves all over her body felt so tight that they seemed to snap if she was not careful.
The host on the television continued to probe for more questions. "If you don't know Mom's name, do you know Daddy's name?"
This question was only asked, Peter. With a confused look on his face, he answered.
Peter said. "I don't know. My daddy is dead!"
"My daddy is really dead, too," Cathy said.
Julie. "He went to heaven. He's gone a long way! "
Josh added. "Very far."
Lily said. "Dead!"
Daniel only hummed in response. "Mmm!"
John Cage said. "My Daddy is not dead!"
Six of the seven children said that their daddy died, this answer is heavier and more exaggerated. After all, children are the least likely to lie.
The host felt that there is something on her inside, she felt pity for the kids who never had a chance to have a father figure. She quickly changed the subject and liven up the atmosphere.
She just thought to herself. 'These six little ones are really pitiful, they don't have caddy when they are so young.'
Veronica Parker panicked because at first Peter only asked her this question. She never thought that she would meet Nick and gave a direct answer once and for all. Whenever the kids asked her where their father is, she would only reply. "Daddy died and went to a faraway place."
At that moment, Veronica knew that their Daddy is right in front of her eyes, and that answer was heard by Nick which made Veronica Parker very frightened!
Nick loosened his grip on the back of Veronica's neck. He glanced at her coldly and looked at Peter who was sitting next to John Cage on the television. His facial features are similar to John's, but he would never think that he's blood-related to that child.
Veronica Parker took his hands off the back of her neck and watched Nick headed to the kitchen after he turned off the TV immediately.
That sight made her sigh of relief.
Although Peter only didn't say anything earth-shattering, the next thing he would say was unsure. That child is quite unpredictable.
She wanted to see them badly, she can't wait until she gets back.
But then, the time she can go back is a question.
Veronica Parker was afraid to go away without his permission, so she stood there and waited for Nick Cage to finish his meal.
After waiting for 20 minutes, Nick walked out of the kitchen with his long legs. He wore a reserved black suit, his muscular figure and a powerful aura made the heads of the rows of servants bow unto him.
Veronica Parker wanted to ask Nick if she could go back, but when the words were about to come out of her mouth, she dared not make a sound when she was affected by the aura.
Veronica Parker held her breath subconsciously and his nerves tightened as the cold wind blew past him.
When he looked up, Nick Cage had gone out of the entrance of the hall, and he could only see the straight and deep figure from afar.
Then the car's engine sounded, and the car left the Winter Villa.
Veronica Parker's shoulders collapsed weakly and sighed deeply. It seemed that he would have to stay here for another day.
When Veronica thought how she would quickly find a way to call Isabella to ask about the situation, Bob came in from the outside and said. "Miss Parker, you can go back."
Veronica Parker stared at him, incredulous by the news. "Are you serious? Mr. Cage really let me go back?" She asked expectantly.
"Yes."
Veronica Parker knew that Nick Cage must have told him when he was outside just now. It almost made her jump with joy.
She ran straight out and suddenly thought of something. "No, I'll get my phone!"
