Chapter 150 Toby And Her
Chapter 150 Toby And Her
Veronica Parker looked at her in bewilderment. "What do you mean?"
"I'm just saying, I don't know." Suzanne Roland smiled. At this time, the assistant came in and she said, "Well, I'm going to be busy. Are you going to get off work, too?"
"I'm working overtime today, so I'll go out first," Veronica said hello to her assistant as she turned around and left the dressing room.
After she went outside, Veronica thought about what Suzanne has just said.
Did she mean that it was not normal for Toby to break up with her without getting her body?
Was it because he had something to hide?
No, he won't. Why would he want to get in touch with her when there were so many women around him? And she caught him kissing another woman.
She felt that the secret of Toby Cage was that he was not able to get her so he ran to find another woman.
Veronica was relatively conservative and wanted to hand herself over to Toby after graduation and Toby Cage also said that they would get married directly after graduation and then they would have a wedding night.
They both agreed. Veronica was waiting for that day with great anticipation. It was Toby who went back on his word.
To work overtime was to stay up late, and the work was harder.
Veronica saw Lisa hit Yawn on the stage and went to make her coffee.
She wouldn't guarantee anything else but she was still good at making coffee.
After all, she used to make coffee for the head of KING Group.
"Veronica, go and change my Mac." As soon as Lisa turned around, she didn't see Veronica and she got angry "Where is Veronica Parker?"
"Coming!" Veronica ran over hurriedly.
"How did you become an assistant? If I need you, will you disappear for me?"
"Lisa, I think you are working too hard so I made you coffee," Veronica said.
Lisa glanced at the coffee in Veronica's hand. She was slightly surprised and her anger disappeared. "You're very discerning," she said. She took the coffee and said, "Go and change the wheat."
"Yes." Veronica went to change it.
Lisa drank her coffee and looked back at the strange look in Veronica Parker's eyes.
She changed the wheat and Veronica took the finished cup to the teahouse. She washed the cup and put it in the disinfection cabinet.
She was stunned when she turned and saw the figure leaning against the door.
She gathered her wits and started to leave.
As she was just about to go through the door, a long arm blocked the door frame, blocking the way of Veronica.
"Toby, what are you doing?" Veronica was not happy.
"Where's the bracelet?"
Veronica bowed his head and looked at her wrist. Toby's bracelet was left at her home.
But she said deliberately, "I threw it away."
Toby's eyes narrowed slightly and Veronica was pressed against the wall by Toby. He locked her between his body and the wall.
"Ah!" Veronica Parker struggled, "Toby! This is the TV station! "
"Do you want to go somewhere else?" Toby asked.
"Wear the bracelet next time, you know?"
Veronica glared at him. He won't believe that she threw the bracelet away.
"Can you let me go now?" Veronica asked angrily.
Toby reached out and pinched her white face. "The last time, you left without saying goodbye, didn't you want to give me an explanation?"
Veronica was startled.
How would she say goodbye to him? She was sneaking away on purpose.
After that, Toby didn't call her, thinking it was a thing of the past.
"I have something urgent." Veronica plucked his hands away from her face with little strength, but it still left a mark on her white and tender skin.
Toby Cage looked at her. "What's urgent?"
Veronica frowned. "Why should I tell you?" She reached out and pushed Toby hard but he grabbed her by the wrist, exerting a lot of strength.
