Chapter 209 The Outcome Of Irrational Decision

Before she could finish explaining, Nick pulled Veronica's wrist and moved her farther away from Toby Cage. He carelessly dragged her in front of Toby Cage. The water bag that Veronica was holding just slipped out of her hands and fell.

Toby Cage's face changed sharply, and just as he was about to come forward, he was stopped by Nick Cage's bodyguards.

"This is interesting. You have several coincidences with Toby Cage." Nick Cage retorted.

Veronica Parker felt a sudden pain again on her stomach, her head lowered feebly and her body trembled.

"Nick, where are you going to bring her?" Toby Cage asked coldly.

Nick Cage's black eyes stared at Veronica Parker, "What do you think I should do to disobedient people?"

Veronica Parker could not answer nor argue with him. She could hardly stand up because of the stomachache. She squatted down and her words were inaudible.

Nick Cage, who was in a very bad mood, looked gloomy. "What, you're going to pretend now that you're sick? Get up!" Nick Cage yelled at Veronica Parker.

"I--I don't feel well." Veronica Parker gasped painfully.

Toby Cage looked extremely distraught and wanted to help Veronica Cage. But bodyguards were firm on stopping him from getting close to her.

He coldly said, "Veronica's really not feeling well Nick. Let's just bring her to the dressing room so she could have some rest. Look at her, she looks so pale."Look at her face! "

Veronica Parker squatted, her wrist still pinned on Nick Cage's palm.

Nick Cage looked at Veronica Parker then pulled -her up.

Veronica Parker leaned weakly against Nick Cage's chest, revealing her pale face and her forehead covered with fine beads of sweat. She was suffering from physical discomfort.

Nick Cage's face slightly changed when he saw her like that. He held Veronica Parker in his arms, turned around, and left.

The bodyguard followed immediately.

"Where are you going, Nick? Are you going to bring her to the hospital?" Toby Cage inquired.

Veronica Parker sensed that she was being held by Nick Cage and so she hurriedly struggled and said, "Please Nick, put me down. We're at the TV Station. What would people think if they see us like this?"

Not so many people knew about her relationship with Nick Cage. Some just assumed only but were not able to confirm anything.

It was not a good idea for people to see Nick Cage carrying Veronica Parker like that. He has a good disposition in King Group. With an incident like this, they would think she was just using him.

But Nick Cage acted as if he never heard any word from Veronica Parker and just carried her and walked towards the elevator.

"Put me down." Veronica Parker said painstakingly.

"Shut up." Nick Cage said in a low voice.

Veronica Parker knew she couldn't reverse Nick Cage's decision, so she stopped talking. She already lost her strength and was in so much pain.

Veronica Parker buried her face on Nick Cage's arms before the elevator door opened.

Although she could not see anything, she felt the quiet atmosphere inside the elevator.

Veronica Parker buried her head deeper.

Veronica Parker didn't lift her head until they got to the car. "Can you put me down now?" Veronica Parker asked weakly.

After asking, she felt more pain in my stomach.

She moaned because of severe pain.

Nick Cage carefully assisted Veronica Parker as she gets into the car. He sat beside her and stayed so close to her. He then placed his hand on her abdomen and hoped to somehow relieve her pain.

Veronica Parker was stiff and stared at Nick Cage.

"Abdominal pain?" He asked.

Veronica Parker looked away and refused to speak.

"What happened to you?"He asked her again.

But she just kept quiet and decided not to speak.

Veronica Parker then thought that this won't happen if she hadn't taken those contraceptives. But it's too late now. Nick Cage wasn't too angry anymore. He now looked so worried and didn't say anything further. He just held her, his hand still on her belly.
