Chapter 338 Without Warning

Nick Cage took the six little ones out of the room to let Veronica Parker rest.

Isabella followed in a hurry.

They were all in the dining room and food was already served on the table. The door was closed and the six little ones were trying to open the door.

"We want Mom," the six little ones looked like they were about to cry.

"We should eat supper first," Nick Cage said as he sat at one of the dining chairs and tried his best not to look angry and intimidating.

However, all this had no effect on the six youngsters.

"Come on out, Peter, Cathy, Julie, Josh, Lily, and Daniel," Isabella and Bob, called the six little ones who were hiding under the table.

The six little ones are motionless and their small figures are huddled together looking scared.

Bob had seduced them with all kinds of things such as chocolate, ice cream, cakes, and toys but all of was useless.

They wanted Veronica Parker.

They would not come out unless it was their Mom.

Veronica Parker didn't sleep long before she woke up.

She felt uncomfortable lying in bed all the time, so she decided to get up.

She felt like she had regained a lot of strength.

When she got to the balcony, it was getting dark outside.

Winter Villa was brightly lit and Veronica Parker was stunned when she looked into the distance and saw some shadows but could not clearly see what it was.

There was a knock at the door and Isabella came in, "Why are you out of bed? Are you now in good health?"

"Isabella, what is that?" Veronica Parker pointed in the other direction and asked.

"Oh, that's the playground Mister Cage built for the children. It's not finished yet. I hear it costs about hundreds of millions!"

Veronica Parker was speechless and she looked stunned.

"Aren't you hungry? I'll get you something to eat. You can't tell me that doesn't want to eat anymore. You have to eat more," Isabella said. Veronica Parker always disobeyed her. How can she fully recover her strength if she doesn't eat?

"I will eat but did the six little ones eat yet?"

Isabella said, "I'm not happy to call them out of your room. During the meal, they were all under the table and everything that we do to please them was useless. In the end, Mister Cage caught each one of them and they ate their dinner obediently. "

"Did Nick usually treat the kids that way?" Veronica Parker asked as her face frowned.

"Even if he does that, they will always be his children. Could it be that bad? I don't think you should worry that much."

Of course, Veronica Parker knew that Nick Cage wouldn't hit a child but she always felt disturbed whenever she remembered how Nick Cage tended to abused his power and get violent at times.

He's not going to overuse his power on a child, is he?

Veronica Parker slept for a while and she woke up with sweat sticking to her clothes. She felt sticky and uncomfortable.

"Isabella, I want to take a bath."

"Your fever had just gone down and you should not take a bath."

Veronica Parker knew of course knew that she should not take a bath but she wanted the sticky feeling to be gone already or else she could not sleep well at night.

"Forget it, I'm better now I'll go inside the bathroom," Veronica Parker said before she got up.

"Okay, I'll help you take out your pajamas."

"No, I can do it. It's only a matter of taking two steps, I can handle it," Veronica Parker convinced Isabella that she was not feeling weak anymore.

After taking out her pajamas, she went into the bathroom and took off her clothes. She started scrubbing her skin.

While she was scrubbing, the bathroom door opened without much warning which startled her.

When she turned around, she saw Nick Cage coming came in and she hurriedly covered her body with the towel next to her, "Can't you knock on the door before coming in, Nick?"

"What for? Is there anything else I haven't seen in you?"

Veronica Parker's face turned red and she refrained from speaking.

When she turned around, Nick Cage was already in front of her. He placed the back of his hand on her forehead.

Veronica Parker felt nervous that she couldn't help but felt stiff.

As Nick Cage's cold hands touched her forehead, she felt a trace of bliss and that made her head blank at the moment.

Nick Cage's dark eyes flutter slightly, his hands remained pressed against Veronica Parker's forehead and his eyes began to trace Veronica Parker's face down to her neck.

He licked his lips as he stared at her neckline and he couldn't help but gulp at how beautiful the woman was who's standing in front of him.
