Chapter 511 Nick Could See Everything
Chapter 511 Nick Could See Everything
Veronica Parker seemed to feel uneasy in her sleep. Her body moved and her shoulders shrank into the quilt, showing only half her face, and then finally went back to sleep.
Veronica didn't know how long she slept where she didn't need to work, didn't have to care about the kids, and just slept without stress.
The second time she woke up, she felt much better.
The main thing she realized was that there was not a bundled cuddle!
Veronica turned over and there was no Nick Cage around.
She slept soundly. She didn't know when Nick got up. Had he left already?
She didn't hear anything outside.
Veronica got up. Her waist seemed to be broken. It was not so unbearable to sleep until now.
Feeling naked, she turned out her clothes and put them on in the cupboard at the end of the bed.
After she put it on, she opened the door of the room.
As soon as she opened a seam, she saw the dark figure of Nick sitting on the sofa.
He didn't leave? Why wasn't he leaving?
While Veronica was thinking, Nick's black eyes looked sharply over.
Veronica regained her senses and walked out of the room.
"Hey, when did you wake up? I didn't even notice." Veronica muttered and found Nick looking at her without saying a word.
This silent atmosphere brought her invisible pressure.
There was a dangerous abyss in his gaze.
Veronica was scared. What was wrong with this guy?
Rest was normal so he did not have to kick her in his anger.
Just as she was speculating, she heard Nick whisper, "Can your body take it?"
Veronica looked at him and didn't know what he meant by asking. Thinking that the person in front of her was suspicious, she looked away and said, "I'm fine."
"Let's go out for dinner." Nick put his long legs down and stood up, feeling energized.
"Oh," Veronica responded with a slow half-beat.
She thought to herself, 'According to the overbearing style of Nick, shouldn't it just be delivered directly to the door? Or are we going out on purpose?'
But she did not think too much anymore as Nick Cage was too unfathomable so she could not think through.
But was there something to eat at this time? Anyway, she used to be shut down when she didn't eat at the restaurant.
It was crazy to think that she was tossed around by Nick until three or four o'clock to eat!
Veronica followed Nick on the Rolls-Royce, and as soon as they left, Kay Tours took people into Veronica's apartment-equipped with surveillance!
And Veronica had no idea.
She went to a big dinner with Nick, and the people inside waited early, as if they were facing an archenemy.
Delicious food was prepared in advance.
Sure enough, to be a powerful person was like owning a private plane. There was no reason for him to wait for a plane!
Veronica had enough to eat and drink, then she left with Nick.
In the car, Nick asked, "Where are you going?"
There was no point in going to the TV station at this time. She had to get off work in two hours.
"I'll go back to the apartment." Veronica said, "How about I take the subway back by myself? It'll be fast."
Nick stared at her with black eyes and examined her sharply.
Veronica looked out the window. She thought to herself, 'If you want to send me, just do it! I can't fight you anyway.'
The car drove into the neighborhood then stopped. Veronica looked at Nick. "I'm going down."
She said goodbye, got out of the car and turned to the elevator.
The window fell slowly, revealing Nick's sharp face. His sharp, deep black eyes stared at the slim figure farther and farther away until she was out of sight.
Nick still didn't leave. He took out his phone and opened the monitoring software.
On it was surveillance equipment in Veronica's apartment. There was only one in the living room, but he could see the whole living room.
No matter who came in, even if it was only a fly, he could see it clearly.
After waiting for about two or three minutes, the door was pushed open and Veronica appeared in the video.
