Chapter 512 It Can Be Done This Time
Chapter 512 It Can Be Done This Time
She changed her shoes, walked to the sofa, threw her backpack, and sat down on the foam board.
She sat there while thinking.
Even her expression couldn't escape the surveillance.
Veronica Parker was thinking that she should go to Tom Parker later. Didn't he say that he would send wine to Nick Cage?
That was funny. Would Nick be short of alcohol?
But she couldn't break Tom's heart, could she?
She didn't look at the monitor in the study last night.
Veronica took out her phone and looked through the automatically saved records.
In the video, Tom went to the study but didn't do anything unusual.
He talked to Clare Parker for about half an hour. She couldn't hear them, but she knew it was about the company.
The company had just opened and was already very busy.
Tom never showed up in the middle of the night.
She hadn't seen that memory all the time.
It meant that Tom didn't put the memory in the study.
Was it not for the time being, or had he been scared by Sarah North to change places?
Where would that be?
The cell phone rang suddenly, interrupting Veronica's thoughts.
When she saw that it was Tom again, she just ignored it, threw her phone aside, and went to her room.
Halfway through, she didn't know why, but Veronica felt cold when she stared at her back.
She looked around. What was wrong with it?
Veronica wondered why she had such an inexplicable reaction.
She didn't think too much about it. She went back to her room to have a rest.
Nick turned off the video and told the driver, "Let's go."
Rolls-Royce just left the neighborhood.
Veronica didn't go to Tom's place until it was six o'clock.
Hearing her coming back, Tom was busy laying out the good wine like a treasure, and asked, "How's it going? Isn't this good wine? You may not know much about wine, but you can tell at a glance that this wine was for Nick! It took me a lot of work to get it. Even if you have money, you may not be able to buy it!"
"Really? Don't you keep such good wine for yourself?"
"If it were anyone else, I wouldn't be willing to share it. But it's different with Nick."
"If that's the case, Nick will give you the southwest as soon as he sees the wine."
"Veronica, it's up to you this time!"
"No problem." Veronica stared at the delicate box of wine and said, "I'm sure it can be done this time."
Tom listened with anticipation, "If it happens, Dad will be very grateful to you!"
"How good is it?"
"Huh?" Tom was stupefied by her question. "Anyway, the car, the house, and the money are all fine. The shares will go up again to let you participate in the decision-making of the company!"
Veronica smiled happily on the surface, but her heart was cold.
Cars, houses, money? Are shares going up? She was sorry, but she wanted everything!
Veronica got up the next morning and saw no one else but Clare sitting on the sofa, kind of prepared.
"Veronica Parker."
Veronica walked over without dodging, "What can I do for you?"
Clare raised her delicate face.
Veronica looked at it and thought, how early does it take for this face to be so beautiful? How lucky.
"All the people under Veronica Parker are busy with other things. I just had my nails done yesterday. I'm afraid I'll get hurt. Can you get me a glass of water?"
"Sure!" Veronica immediately agreed, "Give me a minute."
Clare looked at Veronica's unburdened back and flashed a calculation in her eyes.
Veronica was only fit to do the work of servants at home.
The last time she asked Sarah to pour juice, Clare found out later.
It wasn't long before Veronica came with a cup in her left hand and a pot in her right hand.
"Did you make the tea?" Clare asked. "All I need is clear water."
Veronica sat down on the sofa and said, "I've added salt to the water. It's good for the health to drink salted water on an empty stomach in the morning. Also, you are fit for a warm drink."
