Chapter 513 Pretend To Be A Good Person
Chapter 513 Pretend To Be A Good Person
Fast and salty, Clare Parker knew, so she asked, "Why am I fit to drink a warm drink?"
"If you drink a warm drink, you have to drink it slowly. It suits your gentle temperament. Isn't it right?" Veronica Parker gave her the water cup. "Take it. I'm afraid my hands are unstable."
Clare reached for the water cup and wondered what Veronica was thinking.
What she said was all good, so why was she pretending to be a good person?
The corner of Veronica's mouth raised a few invisible radiance when the kettle flickered and the water poured into Clare's hand--
"Ah!" Clare screamed from the heat. With a shake of her hand, the cup fell on the ground and broke from Clare's hand. It was red on the back of her hand because it was mixed with salt, so it still had bursts of tingling.
If the water burned the skin at 100 degrees, wasn't it sprinkling salt on the wound?
"Oh, I'm sorry. Is everything all right? It's a good thing the water is not very hot, otherwise, it would be bad!" Veronica had an apologetic look on her face.
Clare glared at her. "Veronica, did you do it on purpose?"
"How can I? It was an accident!" Veronica said innocently.
"Is it all right to say something carelessly? Get on your knees!"
It was as if Veronica didn't hear, "What? On my knees? Am I your lackey?"
Clare seemed to have two ice picks in her eyes, "Anyone there?!"
The servant came to Clare. Clare said to her, "Hit her in the face! She's being so ill-bred, so I must teach her a good lesson!"
Veronica looked at her coldly, waiting for the servant to come and hit her in the face. The servant raised her hand and Veronica grasped the pot as if she had grasped the cold weapon and was about to smash it.
"What are you doing?" Tom came. "You rebelled, didn't you? Get out of here!"
The servants were busy.
Clare, pale and haughty, asked, "Dad, are you trying to protect her? Is my hand burned in vain? In any case, I am her sister, so she has to know the difference between superiority and inferiority even if she bullies others."
Tom saw a red burn on Clare's hand and asked Veronica, "What's going on?"
"I told you I didn't mean to. I haven't poured water for anyone. I'm sure my hands will be unstable." Veronica explained.
"It was an accident, Clare, so forget it!"
Veronica watched Clare lift her dead fish eyes and said impatiently, "Where's the wine? Bring it here. I'll go to Winter Villa in the evening."
Bringing the wine, Veronica then dragged away.
When she got to the door, her foot kicked over the trash can at the door.
Tom Parker had nothing to say.
Clare clenched her fist. "How much longer do I have to put up with it?"
"It won't be long! The wine was given to Nick Cage by Veronica Parker, and she said Nick Cage would definitely say yes today."
Clare sneered and looked at him. "Why don't we make a bet? Do you think the development right in the southwest is just a piece of cake?"
Tom hesitated for a moment and said, "Even if he doesn't feel like saying yes, he will still have to say yes."
He had something to suppress Veronica! He didn't have much patience!
Veronica went back to her apartment after work at the TV station.
Once back, she put the wine on the coffee table, sat cross-legged on the foam board, opened the wine, took out the bottle opener, and painstakingly got the cork out.
Her nose smelled it and it was pungent. She took a glass and poured the wine into it.
Her small mouth sipped into the wine glass--
"Ah." The wine was so strong that Veronica stuck out her tongue.
The more expensive it was, the harder it was to swallow.
It was not as good as sparkling water!
Veronica poured the wine into the sink and had her glass take some tap water and poured it into the bottle.
While adding water to the wine, she shook her head sadly and spoiled it.
On the way back, Nick was sitting in the back seat of the Rolls-Royce and was holding his cell phone, admiring the bad Veronica Parker.
After spoiling, the wine was packed intact and set aside.
