Chapter 57 Such A Pretty Face

Veronica Parker withdrew her eyes and pretended that she didn't see him.

Then she looked away, scanned the crowd to find Nick Cage.

Fortunately, she didn't see him after she turned around and searched for his familiar face.

It seems that Nick is really not coming as Chloe said.

She was really freaked out by herself, too.

How could Nick Cage be here? He severed ties with the Cage family.

The people in the banquet hall must have doubted her identity, but no one dared to ask. Even if they didn't ask, they would almost know who she was.

"Elder Sister!" John sprang out.

Veronica bowed her head and looked at a small figure of John. She looked at the baby's fat face, fleshy, and looked dashing with a suit and his big round eyes.

"Elder sister, are you here to see me?"

John's little face flushed with excitement.

Veronica Parker thought what a sweet child he is. With such a short reply, he became happy in the twinkling of an eye.

There was a commotion outside the door and even Veronica felt the disbelief and astonishment of onlookers outside through the glass.

The glass is a little reflective and she can't really see what's going on. What she only saw was that there was a big hoard of people outside, and the amazement of people who are close to the inner hall of the hotel was evident.

Veronica thought for a while. 'Who's here? Are there any other big shots not present?'

However, Veronica Parker turned white with fear when she saw the handsome brooding figure that came in, and her body staggered back uncontrollably.

'That's Nick. I thought he's not coming. Why did he come here?'
