Chapter 596 Medical Treatment

"Come on, Mom! If you take the medicine, the pain will go away!" Julie said.

"Oh! Mom is not afraid! " Daniel cheered his Mom.

Veronica Parker was moved by her children's encouragements. Their thoughtfulness made her happy. Seeing her children like this is worth the difficulties and challenges she dealt with in raising them.

She looked at her children lovingly and said. "The medicine that they gave me yesterday did not hurt. So I'm sure it will not hurt. Don't worry."

"Stand back a little bit." Nick Cage said. Chloe Bowen retreated hurriedly from her Mom.

Veronica Parker asked nervously, "Do you really know what to do?"

It's not that she was doubting him but she can't forget the sad picture of him whipping Lily.

Nick Cage squeezed her chin and said, "Don't challenge a man's ability, especially me. Open your mouth."

She opened her mouth and the six little ones also opened their mouths. It was hilarious.

Nick Cage looked at her lower gums and it was much better than yesterday. It was because of the medicine Tracy Dora gave her.

It only took a few minutes later and it was done. It was not painful at all but she was just nervous of the procedure.

As soon as it was over, the six little ones immediately gathered around her.

"Does it hurt Mom?" Cathy asked.

"It doesn't hurt." Veronica Parker smiled widely and brightly.

"Mom, let's go play on the slide!" Peter shouted.

"I want to play too Mom!" Julie excitedly said.

She was about to say that Josh was not feeling well and he could not play with them when he heard Josh's weak voice, "I want to play."

Ten minutes later, Veronica Parker stood by and watched Josh play happily with the other kids in the park.

She looked back and saw Nick Cage coming her way. He was so tall that she felt intimidated.

She thought of what happened last night and said confidently, "I told you that I know your phone number but you still punished me?"

Nick Cage looked down at her. His black eyes glaring at her. "So, I did show you mercy."

"That's how you show mercy? " Veronica Parker exclaimed. "What a pity." He looked at her condescendingly.

She slapped him and his cheek turned red. This man is trying to find excuses to be with her! "I'm going to the TV station!"

Don't argue with him. It already happened. Just forget about remembering Toby Cage's number.

"Busier than me?" Nick Cage's black stared at her sadly.

"There is an urgent matter that I need to deal with at the TV station. Look after the six little ones. I'll be back soon. No more than 2 hours at the most." She said.

He looked at her coldly. She smiled then turned and ran like her life depended on it. She took a long breath when she sees that he is not going after her.

She got in the car and told the driver to take her to the hospital. It usually takes two hours to get there but it is less than an hour if you take a short cut.

She is just going to the hospital to get an injection and she doesn't want Nick to go with her just to stare at her. He looks creepy and crazy when he does that.

Getting in touch with Nick Cage was a mistake. She always worries that she will not come out alive the next day.

After arriving at the hospital, she immediately registered for medical treatment.

She forgot to make an appointment so she had to wait in line. It took her nearly an hour for her turn.

She is now seated in front of the doctor. The doctor looked at her and verified, "Your name is Veronica Parker?"

"Yes, why?"

"Nothing. What can I do for you?"
