"I'm sorry, I can't!" The director of the station trembled and shook his head.
Even the director was scared to get involved.
Are they kidding me? Shouldn't they be helping the person in charge of the KING Group if he was in trouble?
Veronica looked at them furiously. She would have appreciated if someone helped her in stopping the fight.
Nick was about to punch Toby in the face when he entered the elevator. Veronica can't think of anything to stop him so she hugged him instead. "Nick, please stop fighting!"
Nick looked at her with hostility. "I'll go with you. Let's go."
Before Veronica finished speaking, Toby suddenly punched the distracted Nick on the jaw. Veronica was frightened. "Toby!"
Toby was like a madman, desperately pressing Nick to the ground.
"Why are you doing this to her? What did she do wrong? Why are you bullying her?" Toby growls.
"You think you'll win in the end?" Nick said ruthlessly. "Toby, you don't stand a chance!"
With that, he punched Toby in the ribs.
"Hmm!" Toby moaned in pain but she still did not release his grip on Nick.
"Are you sure you don't want to let go?" Nick punched Toby again in the ribs in the same position where he punched him before.
"Well." Toby's body was shaking and his face was pale. "I... I'll never let go of her. She's mine!"
Nick stopped talking but made a fist! He looked murderous.
Veronica freaked out when Nick was about to punch Toby the third time.
She was well aware of Nick's strength.
She was afraid that Toby's ribs were already cracked on the first punch.
Why can't Toby just let go? Doesn't he want to live?
Nick slammed his body towards Toby and Toby was knocked to one side.
Nick sat up at a leisurely pace and Toby was extremely embarrassed.
"Toby..." Before Veronica finished talking, Nick kicked Toby out.
"Toby!"
The elevator door was closing.
Toby got up again and rushed to the elevator. Suzanne Roland came just in time and hugged Toby. Suzanne yelled at Veronica from the elevator. "Veronica, Toby is my boyfriend. I hope you stay away from him in the future!"
When the elevator door closed, Veronica still heard what Suzanne said.
Toby is Suzanne's boyfriend? Since when. They were just friends right. When did it happen?
She doesn't know what to think anymore.
Even if she found out the answer to her questions, it doesn't matter anymore. She and Toby were over and she would never have that kind of relationship with him again.
Suzanne doesn't have to say that in a hostile tone.
Veronica was leaning against the elevator wall when her lips was covered by Nick's lips.
Nick ravaged her mouth. Veronica did not resist and Nick kissed her deeper.
He poured his anger to the kiss. Nick was trying to calm down but his blood boils every time he thought of Toby touching Veronica.
"Oh!" Veronica turned away and said, "That's enough!"
She didn't resist so he should have stopped kissing her.
But no, he has no intention of stopping at all.
Nick Cage gasped and looked at her hand. He stared at her angrily.
"How dare you let him touch you?"
Veronica looked at him angrily, "When did he touch me?"
"He held your hands."
"You don't have anything to do than keep an eye on the surveillance." Veronica yelled at him. "Besides, I already said no."
