Chapter 868 How Could A Broken Heart Compare To Physical Pain
Tilting her face slightly. She saw the blue sky outside, and when the sudden light hit her eye, she burst into tears trembling.
Why would God do this to her? What did she do wrong?
Why would he allow her to meet Nick Cage? Why?
Veronica couldn't understand. She didn't understand what she did so wrong that she had to be imprisoned by Nick.
There was a knock on the door, "Miss Parker, are you awake?"
Veronica did not move, as if she did not hear the voice of the maid outside.
"Miss Parker, could I come in?" After waiting for a moment, the maid pushed the door open and walked into the edge of the bed. Seeing Veronica awake, the maid whispered, "It's lunchtime for Miss Parker. Shall I bring it in for you now?"
Veronica didn't talk.
The maid stood by the bed and hesitated for a moment, then said, "Miss Parker, you have to eat. You haven't eaten all day since yesterday."
Veronica looked out at the sky and did not change her expression.
Yes, she was in bed all day and night last night, not to mention eating, she didn't even have time to get out of bed.
If she hasn't eaten, why would she eat now?
Why would they care if she ate or not?
Wouldn't it be better to let her starve as a punishment?
"Miss Parker, let me help you up." The maid reached out to help.
Veronica fell back in shock, her quilts slipping off her shoulders, revealing her white skin, but covered with red marks.
"Don't touch me, don't touch." Veronica did not cry. Her voice was hoarse as tears started rolling down.
"I won't touch it! I won't touch it! Miss Parker, don't cry. Where does it hurt? Shall I call a doctor for you?" The maid was frightened.
Veronica shook her head. "Get out, get out."
"Yes! I'll come back later." The maid hesitated to go out, closed the door, and stood in the doorway afraid to leave.
Veronica leaned weakly on the bed and her eyes blurred with tears.
She was not where the pain, how can the pain of the body compare with heartache?
How could she cure that?
Half an hour later, the maid knocked on the door again and asked, "Miss Parker, shall I bring in your lunch?"
"Get out, I won't eat." Veronica Parker stared blankly out of the moving glass door, with nothing to fall in love with.
"But you have to eat. Mr. Cage has an explanation."
"I won't eat! Don't you understand?" As soon as she heard the name, Veronica roared angrily, "Get out!"
The maid bowed her head and hurried out of the room.
After shouting so loudly, she was out of breath and has not recovered.
Her sore throat getting hotter and hotter.
She has not drunk or eaten, she just fell on the bed in a daze.
She didn't know how long she lay down. The line of sight staring out of the glass door trembled violently, and she felt her body getting sore and in pain again.
Nick came from the observation deck, opened the glass door, and entered the bedroom. The dark figure dispelled part of the light and was much dimmer. The powerful aura was felt in every corner of the room, oppressing heavily!
Nick looked impassively at the woman with eyes hanging from the bed, and in a low voice ordered, "Come in!"
The door of the room was pushed open and two maids outside came in and stood there with their heads down.
"You can't do anything well. What's the use of asking you?" Nick Cage is as cold as ice.
The maid turned pale with fear, and her legs were so weak that she almost knelt!
"Throw it all into the sea and feed the fish!" Nick Cage command.
The bodyguard outside came in, picked up the maid, and dragged them out!
