Chapter 87 Winter Villa
Chapter 87 Winter Villa
Veronica Parker looked at him with tears in her eyes. She pitifully bit her lips.
Nick Cage's black eyes stared at her coldly. He got up and said, "Sleep on the couch at night!". He left afterward.
Veronica Parker heard the loud sound of the door that was being closed.
Not the main door but the frosted glass door that was connecting the living room to the bedroom.
Veronica sat up carefully. She heard the bedroom door closed and then there was no movement afterward.
Her body relaxed slightly. She wiped the tears on her face and her sadness was gone.
She was surprised, did Nick just let her go?
So what would she do now? Would she stay here? Would she sleep on the couch?
Veronica looked at the sofa. On her eyes, it was like a real bed covered with leather. It would be very comfortable, better than her bed at home.
Veronica picked up the spray can that fell on the floor and gently placed it on the coffee table.
It was so dangerous.
She was almost assaulted by Nick.
In that case, she would never be unharmed.
When her cell phone rang, she looked at it and answered it hurriedly. Isabella's voice sounded, "The children are all asleep. It's all right."
"Thank you." She lowered her voice.
It was a relief to have Isabella at her house.
When she calmed down, she looked around the luxurious living room, which was connected to the bedroom. This room was about the size of her two rooms and one living room.
How could Nick Cage live in this kind of place alone? When she first came in, it felt like a palace.
It was called 'Winter Villa'.
In the bathroom, the water was running down Nick's bulging chest muscle and his eight abdominal muscles.
His black eyes opened. His damp face was sharp and awe-inspiring.
How could he let her go? She deserved to die, just like that bitch. There was no difference between them in nature. Only stupid men would be deceived by their weakness in appearance.
He had let her go for a while, just like a wild animal that was playing with its prey. It would torture her slowly and swallow her into its belly when the prey was exhausted, not even a bone would be left.
Since she was going to be by her side,
as that woman's daughter, there would always be a price to pay.
Veronica looked at the sofa. She did not want to lie down but if she won't, how would the rest? She would not be able to sit here all night, could she?
Why didn't Nick let her leave?
Nothing was heard in the bedroom, it was as if Nick no longer existed.
All she knew was that Nick was in the bedroom. It was dangerous because he could come out at any moment.
It scared her.
Veronica stood up and went to the next balcony. She wanted to see what was going on outside to see if she could escape.
If the floor was not high, it would not be impossible to jump and escape.
She scratched on the guardrail, looked down, and visually measured the height. There are three or four meters below. Underneath were bushes. If she would jump, she would fall on the bushes. She was hoping that she won't be hurt?
She turned around, at the other end of the balcony, a man was smoking against the guardrail. He startled her and she froze.
She saw Nick smoking against the guardrail. He was wearing a brown towel around his waist. His wide shoulder and narrow waist was a sexy figure at a glance. Under the projection of the light, his chest and abdominal muscles were deep and clear. He was as dangerous as a wild animal.
"Why don't you jump?" The sound of low deterrence came.
Veronica never thought that the balcony of the living room and the bedroom was connected. She looked away and said, "I just came out to have a look."
She thought to herself, how did he know what she was thinking?
That guy was terrible.
Veronica Parker wanted to escape back to the living room but something came to her mind and she asked cautiously, "Can I go home? I'm not used to sleeping on the couch."
