Chapter 884 Sleeping With The Six Little Ones

He raised his wrist to see what time it was. He knew he had to put his inner grumpiness aside before seeing Veronica Parker and the six little ones that night.

As he entered the room, he saw Veronica on the bed. She was telling stories to the six little ones who were all trying to beat their yawn with their little mouths open.

When Lily saw him, she got up on her feet and asked, "Daddy, are you going to sleep with us here?"

Nick Cage went over, sat down on the edge of the bed, and touched her little head. He replied, "Do you want Dad to sleep with you?"

Lily's big eyes that looked naïve flickered. She replied to him, "Well, yes!"

Cathy also said, "I want to sleep with Daddy, too!"

Peter said awkwardly, "I--- I can give you a little bit of Mom. But just a little bit."

Julie's eyes bent with laughter as she also said, "I'll give way a little bit, too!"

"Well."

"Daddy! Mommy!" Daniel's little face flushed with excitement as he said this.

Meanwhile, Veronica couldn't continue telling the story since Nick came in.

She didn't want Nick to sleep here, but she couldn't just turn around and leave in front of the six little ones.

Suddenly, Nick told them, "Dad will have to take a shower and go for a while."

The six little ones said in unison, "Okay!"

Nick glanced deeply at Veronica who was staring at the fairy tale book. Then he stood and left the room.

After Nick had left, Cathy threw herself on Veronica and exclaimed, "Mommy and Daddy will sleep here with us!"

Lily asked her, "Is Mom happy?"

"We will all sleep together, but Mommy is still mine!" But Peter didn't forget to remind them,

Julie cheered, "Wow!"

Josh mumbled, "I like that."

Daniel nodded in agreement.

Meanwhile, Veronica didn't say anything and the smile on her face was reluctant.

Nick really took a shower and came over in his pajamas. Soon, the eight of them slept in bed.

Except for the neat adults, the six little ones were frisky and were all over the bed.

But for the six youngsters, having Daddy and Mommy was the happiest feeling. They all felt happier than getting a little safflower.

But Veronica's mood was dull. Deep inside, she was depressed as if she could melt at any moment.

The warmer the reality looked, the greater the pressure she was feeling. It felt as if she wanted to shed tears all the time.

For her, it seemed that there was no longer a way for this family to become happy together.

Soon, Veronica fell asleep. It was already the second day in the villa when she woke up.

And when she woke up, she found herself being held by Nick's arms.

Veronica's inner anger soared because of this.

So, she hurriedly pushed the quilt, got out of bed, and rushed inside the bathroom. As soon as she was facing the mirror, she gasped for breath.

Naturally, Nick woke up and followed her to ask, "What's the matter?"

Veronica questioned him in return, "Are you using children?"

Nick slightly twisted his eyebrows at the question and his black eyes were cold and deep.

Veronica was getting emotional as she said, "Why are we sleeping together? Can't you say you're busy at work? Why do we have to do this? I don't like it! I don't like it very much!"

Nick's expression turned cold and ugly.

Soon, Veronica felt tired and said, "Forget it. I'm going back."

She began to walk away. But as soon as she passed by Nick, she was pressed against the door.

Because of the momentum, Veronica slammed into the door and slammed into the back wall with a loud bang.

Nick stared at her as he held her in place and asked, "What on earth do you want to do?"

Veronica looked at him in disbelief and sarcastically told him, "Do you love me so much that you cannot live without me? I can't even go back if I want to. Why don't you just tell me you love me? Or why don't you just propose to me?"

Nick Cage roared out of control, "Shut up!" And his eyes were horribly red.

Meanwhile, Veronica looked as if her soul was going to be shattered. She looked at Nick in a trance, and there were no waves in her heart.
