Chapter 21
"Sorry. I did not know you were going to take me to the hill. If I knew you would take me there, I would not be telling you to put on a coat." I said with regret after I managed to cover his body with the blanket.
"It's okay. Actually I wanted to show it to you on Saturday, as one of the surprises I will give to you."
I raise an eyebrow with a confused face. "One of your surprises? You mean, you still have other surprises besides the one earlier?"
He nodded. "But I feel like you need something that can take your mind off the unpleasant things yesterday. So I decided to take you there, and thankfully you like one of the surprises I have prepared."
I looked at Dominik, who was still looking at me with his tired face, smiling at me.
"I really do not understand."
Now it is his turn to confuse what I said earlier. He raises an eyebrow and looks at me with a confused face that looks really cute. "Which part of I said you do not understand, Leah?"
I looked for one of his hands wrapped in the blanket that I put on earlier, took it out of the blanket, and interlaced my fingers between his fingers. "I do not understand why I can meet a person like you. Understanding, cute, obedient, not asking much. I feel like I am bothering you too much, Dominik." I said, leaning my head against his chest covered by the blanket.
He stroked my hair and hugged me. "Not really. I feel that it's a fair price so I can get you, Leah. If someone else managed to take you from me before I managed to get you, maybe I will not be able to continue my life normally like before."
"I understand that it's fine for you to do anything as long as you can be with me. But I beg you, Dominik. Don't ever say things like that."
"You mean, about me who will not be able to continue my life normally like before if someone else managed to take you from me?" he asked.
"Yes. I do not want to lose my beloved dog. It's enough that I can not remember anything about my past. I do not want to lose more than that."
He nodded his head and kissed my forehead. "I will not say things like that again, Leah. I promise."
"Okay then. Shall we sleep now? I am really sleepy. You also look really sleepy."
"That means you are no longer angry about what I said in the car, Master?" he asked, his face sparkling.
"From the start, I wasn't angry. I told you I just didn't like you talking about other women in front of me. So, let's sleep, okay?" I asked, hugging him tightly, then closing my eyes.
"That means you're jealous when I'm talking about other women in front of you?"
I buried my face in his chest again, not wanting to let him see my face. I am sure my cheeks flushed with shame because I just realized that his guess about me being jealous of hearing him talk about other women was true. He just laughed at what I was doing right now and stroked my hair.
"Valencia is an old friend of mine from elementary to high school. She decided to resigned from the company because she wanted to help her husband, who is expanding his company branch in several other cities." he said as if trying to clear up my misunderstanding about his former assistant.
I looked up at him. "You mean, Valencia is already married? When? How come I didn't know about that?"
He just laughed at my question earlier.
"She just got married last month. Her husband is one of my college friends. That is why you do not need to be jealous of her."
I hugged him tightly again, not wanting to let him escape from my arms. "Oh, I see. No wonder I see Valencia has no interest in you. I thought she did that to hide her true feelings for you. I think I was too influenced by the drama that Shelly often watched." I said, shaking my head.
"Do you also watch dramas? I just found out that people like you also like watching dramas."
"Do you watch dramas yourself?"
He nodded. "Of course I watch it. Every holiday, I always take the time to watch one of the dramas that I have put on my wish list. And I will watch it until the end." he replied, looking so happy when he talked about his hobby, which I just learned today.
"I never thought that you also like watching dramas. Could it be that you also watched Taiwanese drama, Lost Romance?" I asked.
"Yes. How do you know it? You also watched it?" he asked, surprised by what I asked.
I shook my head. "I was forced by Shelly to watch until the end of the story. The story is good, if I can tell. Use general traits such as the theme of isekai which has been popular lately and the theme of CEOs and ordinary people who are not really new. But what makes it different, they are trapped in a novel and the story completely changes thanks to the main female character named Zheng Xiao'en. And she is an independent woman who does not need a man to support him. Meanwhile, the CEO she is chasing after, He Tianxing, has two different personalities. In the real world, he is a calm and reliable type. In the world of novels, he becomes SiTu Aoran who is arrogant, but childish. Both of them have a bad past. That is why I feel the trait used in the drama is actually common, but still does not reduce the appeal of the drama. "
He listened to my words carefully, as if I was presenting my work in front of him. His face still looks tired but trying to keep concentrating on what I said earlier.
"For a person who doesn't like watching dramas, you understand a lot, don't you? And yes, I agree with your opinion. The trait used in dramas is normal, but I still like the drama. Moreover, those who play the two main characters are my favorite actor and actress. so I have no problem at all with the acting of the two of them which I think is really total. I do really like the OST! The ending song was sung by the main actor, and I really like it. You already heard the song right? "
This is the first time I see Dominik, who looks so excited when talking about the drama we are discussing. Looks like today I found another side of Dominik that has never been shown to others, and that has made me happy.
"Yes, I have heard it already. Because I earwomb the song, I download the song and put it in my playlist. Every night, after coming home, I always play this song with the other songs on my playlist."
"Then, want to hear the song now?" he offered, which I quickly agreed with. He immediately got out of bed and took his smartphone that was behind his coat pocket. Then he lay back on the bed and played the song we were talking about and put his smartphone on the nightstand.
"Perfect. Let's sleep." I said, then closed my eyes again. The song he played made me feel better and immediately hugged him. He returned my hug and closed his eyes. This time we really slept, not like before.
