Chapter 23
I rubbed my cheeks again and put my groceries in the kitchen. Then I prepare groceries and cook chicken porridge for breakfast. Luckily Dominik's kitchen uses an electric stove, so I don't have to deal with what I saw in my dream at that time, which made me not want to see things related to my dream about a fire in a house that I don't even know who owns the house and what was the relationship with me.
I shook my head, put my thoughts aside, and continued cooking chicken porridge. When finished, I put some of the porridge in a small bowl along with a glass of warm water. I mix the fever-reducing medicine that I bought for him into the chicken porridge and mix it well.
When I was about to take all of that into the room, I heard the sound of my smartphone vibrating from inside my bag. I put the bowl and glass back on the coffee table and took my smartphone in my bag, which I had put on the sofa.
"Hello?"
"Leah! Are you okay? I heard you fainted in the office lobby yesterday." said Shelly.
Hearing her words made me remember something annoying. "Yes, but it's okay."
She sounded a sigh of relief when she heard my answer earlier. "You know, the whole office got excited because of the incident yesterday. What's more, they said it was Dominik who carried you out of the office and drove you home. How did it feel to be carried by our CEO?"
I rolled my eyes lazily. "Never mind, nothing like that needs to be discussed."
"But you were happy, weren’t you? Right?"
I remember the incident yesterday when he was carrying me without paying attention to the screams of the female employees who became his worship group in the office. Without realizing it, I smiled at that thought.
"Hmm, yes." I replied trying to hold back the pleasure I feel now.
"Hahaha! As I expected! Oh right. By the way you shouldn't go to the office for today. His fans are looking for you. I don't think they accepted yesterday's incident."
My smile suddenly disappeared when I heard Shelly's words earlier. "But are you guys okay? I mean, they didn't destroy our office property, did they? Or mess up our room?"
She just laughed at my words earlier. "No. We are there to threaten them if they dare to do anything. No need to worry. Let us take care of it. You just continue to be intimate with your beloved Dominik."
"Thank you."
"No problem. Just relax. Okay, I'll hang up the phone first, okay?" said Shelly, and she ended her call.
I'm still staring at my phone with a touched face. Shelly and all my colleagues have helped me this far, even though they don't have to do it for me.
Shit. My tears came out again, I muttered, took a piece of tissue that was on the coffee table, and wiped my tears that came out of my cheeks.
"You guys are really annoying." I said, again wiping my cheeks which were still wet because my tears still didn't stop. "I won't complain anymore if you even forced me to watch the drama even for fifth season in a row."
After I managed to calm down, I threw the tissue I used to wipe my tears into the trash bin. Then I reached the bowl and glass of water that was getting cold soon into the room.
"Dominik? Are you awake?" I asked, rushing over to Dominik, who seemed to have just woken up from his sleep. His left hand is holding his smartphone, which I had put on the nightstand, while his right hand is still on the blanket he uses.
"Leah? You're taking so long. I thought you weren't coming back." he grumbled.
"I told you where I'm not going anywhere. I just went out for a while to buy groceries. After all, your house really has nothing for us to eat."
I placed the bowl and glass on the nightstand and held his forehead. Then I took the thermometer I still carelessly put beside his pillow and checked his temperature again.
38.5 ° C. It's been a little less, I thought with a sigh of relief. I'm not repeating the same mistake by putting the thermometer on the nightstand. Then I took the bowl filled with the porridge that I cooked earlier and brought a spoonful of the chicken porridge into his mouth. He opened his mouth, let me feed him.
"It’s delicious. Where did you buy it?"
I blew on the chicken porridge and fed him back. "I didn’t buy it. I made it myself."
He opened his mouth and ate the porridge that I brought into his mouth. "It's so delicious. The porridge I usually eat isn't this good."
"Good. Then finish it all up. Continue to drink the water and rest."
He nodded, and I went back to spooning up the porridge. Then I put the bowl on the nightstand, grabbed the glass filled with water, and handed it to Dominik. Obediently, he drained the water in the glass and gave it to me. I put the glass on the nightstand and gently stroked her hair. Slowly, I brought my face closer to him and pressed my forehead against his forehead.
"W-what are you doing? What if you get sick?" he asked, turning his gaze the other way.
"I’m sorry. Because yesterday, you got sick like this." I said, closing my eyes. "After you recover, you are free to ask me anything. I will grant all of your wishes as possible as I can."
"Really?" He asked. I opened my eyes and kept my forehead away from him, nodding.
"Now, you should go to rest first. If there is anything, call me. I'm in the living room. "
As soon as I got out of bed and got ready to take the bowl and glass to the kitchen, his hand immediately pulled me toward him. Losing my balance, I finally fell into his arms. He made no effort to let go of his embrace and tightened it even more.
"Can you accompany me here? I don't want you to go anywhere except here." he whispered, combing a little of my hair behind my ear.
I stroked his head and smiled at him." Yes. I'll be here then. "I replied, kissing his forehead and letting him hug me for a few moments before he turned my body to his side so I could lie beside him. His hands still held me, as if I would disappear if he did not do it.

After making sure he sleeps, I took his arms off me and left his room carrying a bowl and glass to the kitchen to wash. Then I took a clean bowl and took the chicken porridge, which was still a lot in the pot I made for breakfast. My stomach feels a little sore because I haven't been eaten anything since morning. I immediately finished the chicken porridge and washed it together with the bowl and glass that he had used for breakfast.
After that, I took the washed clothes and looked for a place to hang the clothes. My eyes accidentally turned to the balcony of his apartment, immediately accelerated my footsteps towards the balcony to check if there was a place to hang my laundry, which fortunately exists. As soon as I finished drying my laundry, I walked to the bathroom to take a shower and rested my body by watching TV in the living room, just in case Dominik called me later.
