It Was Sick
Kimberly woke up from sleep after feeling pain in her stomach. Rubbing slowly until the pain was not long gradually recovered. She could have continued sleeping. But he thought it was five in the morning, so he decided to get up and go straight to the bathroom.
After bathing and getting dressed, Kimberly sneaked a little into the kitchen. She didn't want to cause a stir to disturb Nicholas' sleep. It was enough to last night that Nicholas scolded her. She couldn't bear to hear him nagging again this early in the morning.
Kimberly was silent in one corner of the kitchen island.
"We'll see if the man's supply of groceries is complete."
Then she reached out his hand to open the drawers in the refrigerator one by one. Thinking about what food he will cook this morning for breakfast.
"What should I cook? I don't even know what Nicholas like."
Kimberly sat in front of the refrigerator for a long time until she finally decided to cook toast complete with eggs and bacon. Even though Kimberly hasn't put on any makeup after bathing, her beauty is still clearly visible on her face. His brown hair, which usually fell, he curled up to the top of his head this morning. Letting some of her hair fall on the sides of her face.
Dimly while cooking, she heard a slight hum. It makes anyone who hears get carried away. Now it's time to change clothes. After finishing cooking breakfast, Kimberly re-entered the room and rushed to change into work clothes. She quickly got ready and put makeup on his face. When everything was done, Kimberly didn't forget to grab her briefcase and shoes and then head back to the dining room. Just as he was leaving, Nicholas opened the door to his room.
"You're tidy," said Nicholas in front of his room.
"I even prepared breakfast for you." Kimberly walked towards the dining room, followed by Nicholas, who walked behind her. "What are you cooking anyway?" Nicholas asked, tying the tie around his neck.
"I'm not sure your taste, so I just prepared toast with eggs and bacon," Kimberly replied.
Seeing that her interlocutor was still busy putting on a tie, Kimberly looked exasperated. Then he approached Nicholas intending to help. "You want me to help?" Nicholas turned his gaze to Kimberly. "As long as it doesn't bother you."
Without answering, Kimberly grabbed the knot of the tie previously held by Nicholas. With two motions, the tie was neatly around Nicholas' neck. "Why should it take so long for something this easy, hmm?" quipped Kimberly.
Nicholas chuckled softly. "Okay, starting tomorrow, your task increases."
"What?" Kimberly asked.
"Put me a tie before going to work," Nicholas replied casually and then began to sit down to eat the food in front of him.
"What the hell!" Kimberly whispered but was ignored by Nicholas.
During the meal, Kimberly didn't stop watching Nicholas eating quietly in front of her. He thought the man did look handsome when he behaved like this.
"You don't have to look at me like that all the time. I'm afraid you'll fall in love with me," said Nicholas, who realized that the woman in front of him had been watching him all this time.
Kimberly snorted in annoyance.
"You too confident!"
"Confidence is necessary for a leader. After all, inferiority and pessimism are not in my dictionary," explained Nicholas.
"Stop your lecture, finish it so I can immediately clean up your food," Kimberly ordered.
Nicholas put his spoon and fork together. "No need to clean up. My housekeeper will be here soon. You better get ready. We're off to work now." Kimberly frowned.
"Are you sure we go to work together? Aren't you afraid that other employees will see us later?" Nicholas chuckled again at Kimberly's words.
"All of AlpaBeta also know you're my private secretary, so it's not something to cover up if we go down to work together, stupid girl!"
Kimberly rolled her eyes. "What did you say I was?" asked Kimberly, not accepting that what was being asked moved and then walked away, leaving Kimberly, still sitting in the dining room. "On the count of three, if you don't come out, I'll lock you in the apartment!" cried Nicholas from a distance.
Inevitably Kimberly immediately rushed after Nicholas, who was ready to step out.

"Kimmy, you're okay, right?" Keyra asked when she realized her friend, who had been silent all this time without even touching her lunch. Kimberly shook her head weakly. "My stomach hurts."
Alex, who also noticed Kimberly's face was pale from earlier, finally joined in to speak.
"Are you sick? Shall we take you to the health unit on the second floor?" offered Alex.
Kimberly shook her head again. "Maybe my menstrual cycle is approaching. That's why my stomach hurts so much. Or it could be because I ate late last night."
"Well, now you eat first after we go straight back to the office."
Kimberly finally obeyed Keyra's orders to eat immediately. That was not the first time Kimberly had experienced stomach pain or cramps. Usually, every time she is about to have her period, she feels this kind of stomach ache. But for some reason, today's stomach ache hurts more than usual. After finishing lunch, Kimberly and her two friends decided to head back to the office building.
But when he had just entered the building lobby, Kimberly suddenly fell unconscious, causing panic from other employees there. Nicholas and Edward, who also happened to have just come from lunch, looked confused when they saw a commotion not far from the lobby entrance. Curious, they approached the crowd.
"What is going on?" Edward asked one of the passersby.
"Kimberly passed out, mister." Hearing Kimberly's name being called, Nicholas immediately pushed his way through the crowd in front of him.
"Why did you faint?" Nicholas asked Keyra.
"Kimberly was complaining of a stomach ache. Maybe it's because of stomach cramps before her period. Usually, she always does."
Without waiting any longer, Nicholas immediately carried Kimberly's body. Then took him directly to the place where the car was parked. Edward was following in his best friend's footsteps from behind.
"Open my car door, Ed," Nicholas ordered.
"Where are you taking her?" Isn't the medical unit on the second floor of the building?" Edward asked confusedly, but his hand was still outstretched to open the car door.
"I'll take her to the doctor."
"Then I'll accompany you," Edward offered.
"No need, you have to stay in the office. Soon there will be a meeting. Help me to handle it."
Edward nodded, approving Nicholas' request. "If there's anything you can tell me."
Nicholas drove his car to take Kimberly with her immediately.
"How is it, doctor?"
Nicholas asked the doctor who examined Kimberly.
"Just normal stomach cramps. But if these stomach cramps continue for more than five days, you should immediately take him to the hospital to be examined."
Nicholas nodded then, after a moment, asked again. "But it's not serious, is it?"
"Shouldn't be. For that, I ask you to continue to observe the symptoms. Will the pain continue in the next five days, or will it disappear?"
"Okay then, thanks for the explanation, doc."
Then the doctor left Nicholas alone in the room. Yes, the man didn't take Kimberly to the hospital. He chose to take Kimberly back to the apartment. And deliberately called a private doctor to examine her. For some reason, Nicholas became very worried. He still clearly remembers when Kimberly fainted from fright some time ago.
Now, the woman had fainted again but with a different case. Nicholas sat down on the side of the bed not far from where Kimberly lay. Her gaze fixed on the woman's face, which looked very pale. Her eyes continued to stare while her hands were now reaching out to restore the strands of hair that had fallen on the sides of Kimberly's face.
Nicholas subconsciously smiled.
"Beautiful But sweet, you're too 'bar-bar' for a woman. You are more like a man."
The man smiled again before finally, the phone's ringing changed the look on his face.
"Hello..."
"How is Kimberly?" Edward asked.
"Kimberly is fine."
There was a sigh of relief on the other side. "Thank God, then in which hospital was he treated? After work, I'll visit him." Edward asked.
"No need to visit. Kimberly is fine, Ed. She's not hospitalized."
"You mean?" Edward asked. From the tone of his voice, he sounded confused.
"Kimberly is at my apartment, and she lives with me now." Nicholas looked relaxed saying it. At the same time, the other person on the other side was too surprised even to have time to doubt what he heard.
"You're not kidding, are you?" Edward made sure again.
Nicholas lazily answered. "Kimberly did live in my apartment for a while. Don't ask too many questions, Ed. I'm also at a loss for where to explain."
"Okay, after work, I'll stop by your apartment," Edward replied.
"No per---" before Nicholas had finished answering insolently, Edward immediately ended the call, causing Nicholas to curse in his heart. Unlucky! Sometimes he hangs up the phone without even listening to what I say. Even though he usually ended the call when Edward hadn't finished speaking, Nicholas forgot himself. Was this time Edward deliberately avenged Nicholas before?
