Chapter 22 D And Ravi

D’s PoV

I decided to do as Mindy said. I don’t want to do something stupid again and ruin this. Look at him, he is hugging me like it's usual! We are natural together. I woke him up by scratching his chest.

OMG! He looks so cute. He is so embarrassed with the situation. He looks away like a kid who got caught doing wrong. Awwwww how can he be cute!? I mean men can’t be cute right? Atleast, that is what I thought until now. Did I just hear him say sorry!???? Dumbass! He is sorry for kissing me? Or hugging me? Or just like Mindy said he mistook me for Smirthi? What the hell is he sorry for?

I just want to punch him hard on his face. But with his looks on me, I can see he's truly sorry from his heart. I felt bad for him. He should be going through so many things now. Poor him, I added to his distress by exploiting his personal space. But he is my better-half and I am here to share his everything and he must get used to me, the sooner the better.

I said kissing me is fine and he doesn't have to be sorry for that. I mean if he feels sorry for kissing me, then he should know I’m not feeling bad about it. OMG there he did it again. He turned away with a shy smile. Gosh is he blushing? Awwww Shy men are adorable! God I really want to hug him tight and kiss him senseless now.

We had dinner together and retired to sleep. I really am so tired. May be because of the fever and headache. I so want him to hug me just like before. But I can’t ask him for it now. Can I? It all started with me, right?! It’s me who recognized him, not him! It’s me who started loving him right after seeing him, not him!

He may be a senior in age. He may be senior to me in ogling me at school. Yeah right, he started seeing me first. I noticed only when his friends started calling out his name and his class when I crossed him. He even sent his friend to ask for my name and the stupid I am at that age I told him my name scared and ran away.

But in love, I'm the senior! I should take up things in my hands and make him realize his feelings for me. I can literally see his feelings for me in his eyes. For so much anger at night, he is all goody goody now to me. He truly regrets what he has done. I cannot take what all he said in anger seriously and hold a grudge for it. I have 2 months and 3 weeks to make him fall in love with me. I can’t waste time. With that in mind I slept on the other end of the bed.

Ravi's PoV

I wonder what the hell he did to anni! I thought he kissed her at noon. But looking at her state when I got home with medicines, I got all angry at my bro. It looks like he has beat her up. But he looked like he was regretting that already. So, I didn’t tell him anything to make him feel more bad. After making her take medicine I came to my room. I should go in the morning and check on her. I should also ask if bro hurt her.

If Anvi gets to know about it then I'm done. Yeah Shanvi. I like to call her Anvi! She is a fierce cute little girl. I wonder if she has a phone for herself? Anni has no phone until now so that means her sisters should be the same. Uncle is so strict. But that is for good. I mean if he is not strict Anvi might already have a boy-friend. She is so beautiful!

Ok Ok! I don’t know yet if she has a boyfriend. I just wish she didn't have any. Even if she has, I can break his nose and make him run away.

In the morning, anni didn’t come for breakfast. When dad asked about it, bro said she is still sleeping. I eyed him to know if she was alright. He nodded his head and I knew she must be sleeping out of tiredness. Dad asked us not to disturb her. He looked up at bro and asked if he was ok. Why did he ask him that? Weird! But Bro just nodded again. He is a man of little to no words.

After bro went to his work, dad called me through the intercom to come to his room. He didn’t go to mills? It's 10am already. I went in and he gave me a little gist of what happened yesterday. He also asked me to keep an eye on anni. As she may be more comfortable with me than dad. He then went off to the mills.

I knew it. I knew she was after bro's money. When bro asked us to come to dinner at a restaurant to introduce her, she was all glammed-up like she was going on a ramp walk. She was a beautiful woman, no doubt. But I disliked her at first sight. She called dad 'mama' straight away and took his blessings. I mean who will do this in a public place? Dad was taken aback. I can say by the looks on his face that he is displeased and embarrassed.

She smiled at us all nicely and talked to us very politely. But for some reasons, I felt it was all very artificial. She is trying so much to blend in.

Bro already told us that she is a middle-class girl. He got to know her from his part time college (Yeah, he did his MBA in HR in a part time course as he already was looking after our designing sector). She was staying in the college hostel. Her native is Gobi, a small town near the outskirts of Coimbatore. She is the only daughter to her family and her parents are into farming and have no exposure to the cities. She is now looking for job and staying in a house shared with her friend.

Dad was all happy that my bro has selected his life partner so soon. He was happy that she is a middle-class girl. Because he thought rich girls are so irresponsible. As we have no woman in the family, he wished that the girl coming in should be responsible and loving.

But when we saw her, she looked like a rich girl with expensive saree and jewels. She looked like she had just come out of a beauty parlor. We need a girl to live with not a girl to send on an acting career. Me and dad came home straight and bro dropped her at her place and joined us later.

Dad straight away said that this is not going to work-out. I said nothing because though I don’t like her at first sight, I am not sure of her character. She might truly be in love with my bro. She can adjust herself coming into the family. She can learn. I know we are rich. But we live like every other person. We don’t do parties or boast about our wealth. We like to be down to earth and subtle. Just like she is living now. Once she comes in, she will know that she doesn’t have to change a thing. She can be just the way she is and we will like her for what she is.

But bro said he has given commitment to her and can’t break it. So, dad just moved away from his path. He never interfered in this wedding. It’s all me, bro, and wedding contractors who made the wedding happen.

After that meeting, I have seen her like 5 times and all the times her activities told me that she was a greedy woman. My dislike grew for her and when I saw her with another man at Brookfields mall, I was so worried for my bro. It was almost wedding time and I don’t wanna make a scene by bringing it up to bro. But it all changed when my anni came into our lives. She is an angel.

There she comes. She is a simple girl. She wears salwar all day and pjs after evenings. She talks to me like a friend. She is just a year bigger than me.

"Hi anni! Good morning. How are you feeling, anni?" She roamed her eyes around the house and came near me.

"All good Ravi! Where is your bro?" Why is she talking to me in a husky voice?

"Dad and bro went out to work, anni!"

"Oh ok! Did mama ask about me? I felt so tired that I overslept!" She now talks in a regular tone. She looked guilty.

"Don’t worry, anni! Dad said nothing. He asked me not to disturb you!"

"Awww, he is a nice man!"

"Hahaha why because he let you sleep till 10.30?"

"Shut up Ravi! If my mom gets to know about this, I'm dead for good!"

"Hahaha! You are so funny. You know that you don't have to be afraid of your mom still, right? Ok if you don’t want me to tell this to aunty then you have to tell me something!"

"You are blackmailing me? Huh! fine! ask me!"

"Is it just you or your sisters too, don’t have their own phones?" She looks at me with her eyebrows raised!

"What's the matter man!? Spill it!"

"It’s nothing anni! just curious to know!"

"Curious to know if Shanu has a number to contact huh?"

"Anni!"

"Idiot you are so obvious. My mom herself would have found it if you overdo it like this!"

"Hehe! She is beautiful! Just wanted to make friends!"

"friends huh?" She passes me a knowing smile.

"She is here right? Can we go to your perippa's house now? We can see her and come back!"

"Hey! You are talking to your anni! And I'm also her sister, remember!?"

"Please anni!"

"Hahaha you need a towel now?! OMG! I can help you. But not today. Look at me. I look like I haven’t slept for 10 days. We shall go after I get better. And besides She will be here for some more days. Her 12th results are waiting!"

She is right. If Anvi sees her sister like this she will definitely pick up a fight with me. She went to have her BF. It is brunch actually. We are watching some music channel and she sings along with the songs. God, she knows the lyrics to all the songs?!

"Anni!"

"Hmmm tell me, Ravi!"

"Did bro hurt you?"

"Hurt me? Hmmmm, he did! But that was a romance, idiot! He just over did it. We are newly married, remember! Don’t ask such silly questions. God, it’s so embarrassing!"

God she is incredible. But I love her. She doesn’t wanna give away my bro! She is protecting him.

"Ravi! You know what? You are going to help me to make your bro fall in love with me!"

"what!? You want me to help you? In what exactly?"

"I have no idea right now! But when I tell you to do something you are doing it!"

"Ok!? I guess!" I told her to think about what she is upto.
