Chapter 4

“Are you alright my love?”

“Of course, I am, you know why…I am surrounded by humans, hey you know what…you know what? … maybe I should marry one of them, yeah, yeah, yeah how about that… and then you will see how alright I really am”

he pressed his lips in a line his jaw clenched avoiding eye contact, I wiggled myself from his grip and stumbled trying to regain my balance, my heal caught in the crack in the pavement and I began to fall again, he rushed to my side and caught me again, his arms wrapped around my waist pressing our torsos tightly together making me swallow, I held on to his jacket and looked into his intoxicating hazel eyes

“stop it” I whispered, he raised an eyebrow at me, and I continued

“stop rescuing me, don’t you get it? I need to forget you; I need to forget all about you, and I can’t do that if you keep showing up like this… being the perfect mate” my lips quivered, and tears streamed down my face as the words left my lips

“You say it like it’s so easy, it might have been before we found each other but I’m afraid it’s next to impossible now” he said hugging me tightly his breath tickling my ear making my knees buckle

“can you really do it; do you really think you can forget about me?” he looked into my eyes his breath worm on my cheek

“because I can’t, I want you so bad it hurts”

“Then stop resisting and take me” my wolf broke through the barrier and spoke through me, I couldn’t bring myself to scold her, she had the courage to say what I couldn’t, I took her lead and lightly brushed his face with the back of my hand, he smiled his rosy lips calling me, he moved in and kissed me softly, I pressed myself against his body and kissed him violently engulfing his lips in mine and loosing myself in them, he broke the kiss and I wanted to cry

“let’s go home my love” his words made butterflies dance up and down the pit of my stomach, my face widened with the biggest smile ever on my face, he laughed, the melody soft in my ears, he led me back to the car and we drove home…home what a lovely thought, if only it were possible for us to go home…our home, my wolf leaped, skipped and wagged her tail in excitement deep within me, but I wasn’t so easily fooled, the alcohol was starting to wear off and reality was quickly and relentlessly rearing its ugly head. He stopped outside my apartment and started to remove his seat belt; I took his hand stopping him

“As much as I would love for you to come in” I shook my head “you can’t” I breathed

His smile faded and I continued

“I’m home…you need to go to your home now” I said still squeezing his hand

“Damn it, damn it, damn it” he barked hitting the steering wheel hard with his hand

“what am I going to do, how can I go back to that place?” he said crouching over, resting his head on the steering wheel his hand caressing mine gently

“That place” I said gently stroking his jet-black hair, the feel of it making me tingle all over, I brought my hand back to my lap regaining my composure

“that place is where your family is, good night presi…” he shot me a look

“I mean Kein” I opened the door and climbed out, I walked to the door, opened it without looking back but I knew that his eyes were glued on me, I feel them undressing me, he only drove away when the door closed behind me, and the lights came on.

I collapsed on the bed touching my lips the memory of his lips gently stroking my lips and the taste of his tongue sending a sensation down to my core, his touch became more vivid in my mind, the feel of him between my thighs made my core tremble and I touched myself trying to ease the sensation, the feel of his breath on my cheek, his smooth husky voice in my ear, his hands squeezing and tugging, the memories sent me higher and higher bringing me closer and closer, my hand moved in circles brining me to the edge, my breathing thickened and my heart pounded, I thrust my hips forward ready to release,

“Buzz”

went my phone making me moan in frustration as I picked it up

“What!”

“I see you’re thinking of me” my body shot up and I looked everywhere frantically searching for any sign of him, is he behind the curtains or in the closet, because how can he possibly know?

“No, I’m not” I lied

“You are my mate, so I know you're lying” I heard him smile over the phone

“Go back to your wife please, goodbye” I hung up, I closed my eyes willing sleep to come but I knew that there was no way I was going to sleep at this point, when i close my eyes the only image I see him, his smile, his face, his sexy body

“Hey babe”

there it is again, the roughness in his voice making me arch my back, I felt his hands on me,

"this sensation is way too real" I felt his lips on mine and my body trembled, my phone buzzed, and I put it to my ear without saying a word

“Can you feel me babe?”

“I said no, I don’t feel you at all... and I’m not thinking of you either” I breathed

“Lier” he chuckled

“Cross my heart”

“Oh really, how about now?” I felt a tug on my nipple, and I jumped up frantically looking around again

“What the hell, how are you doing this?”

“Mind-link babe, now relax and let me pleasure you” I felt a pull laying me back down on the bed, the sensation moved to my neck softly making my marking spot tingle, I don’t know how he is doing this, but it feels like he is right on top of me, I felt his tongue worm on my spot, his lips moved to my ears and tugged on my ear lobe making my back arche

“how are you doing this?” I moaned

“Mates are powerful beings babe, just showing you how hard it will be to forget about me” he squeezed my ass and I moaned,

I pressed the phone tighter on my ear listening to him breathe uncontrollably, I felt his tongue leaving a trail down to my core and I trembled he reached my centre and sucked and tugged and I moaned, he growled through the phone sending a new sensation down my body

“I can’t take it any longer” he said through the phone, and I felt him squeeze my breast as he licked and sucked, I grabbed the sheet hoping for some relief, but it offered me none, I had no choice but to release the moans I was supressing he sucked deep and long sending my hips shooting up in the air. I felt myself reach my peak, hearing his grunts getting louder and more erratic sent me over the edge, and with a tremble I released my body pulsing riding the wave of ecstasy.

“Try falling asleep now” he teased

“You enjoyed it too, don’t try to pretend like you didn’t” he didn’t say a word and neither did I, I laid there alone on my bed panting uncontrollably, and I heard his panting through the phone

“I can’t wait to do all those things to you for real” he breathed, I didn’t say a word, I just listened to him breath over the phone, the sound of him breathing soothed me and I gently drifted off to sleep

I woke up and went to the bathroom, I brushed my teeth and the mundane routine, the sound of the brush rustling back and forth brought the memory of last night rushing back and I stopped,

“Was that real, or a dream?” I asked my reflection, I looked down and breathed a sigh of relief seeing that all my clothes were still on

“Dream, definitely a dream” I nodded at my reflection in the mirror and continued brushing

I got to work and went to the morning briefing given that I missed it yesterday, I arrived early ready for whatever happens at these things, because I had no idea whatsoever, there is one thing I can expect though,

“He won’t be here” I said softly to myself remembering that secretary Yeon told me that President Keng doesn’t normally attend the morning briefing, and that was a relief, the briefing went on longer than I expected, apparently each department is given a day to speak about their progress and challenges, everyone looked board

“I can see why he never attends these things” I closed my notebook and put it way, note taking seized an hour ago

“Hi babe, miss me” I turned around startling the guy behind me

“Sorry about that” I said to him, he offered me a smile as he nodded, and I turned around, what the hell was that he sounded like he was right behind me

“Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten about last night” I turned around again and the guy behind me switched seats

“Sorry, I’m so sorry” he just shook his head at me this time

“Are you alright?” Dave asked with his hand on my shoulder, and a loud growl echoed through the big auditorium,

‘I smell him’ everyone gasped looking around in terror and then he entered, his eyes locked with mine and he released another low growl and I realised that Dave had his hands around me,

everyone cheered

“He is amazing isn’t he?” Tina said clapping franticly, his growl deepened, and he began crouching,

“Wow, how is he doing this?” Louren asked franticly clapping her hands as well

I pushed Dave’s hands away, but he didn’t budge,

“I think it’s some kind of special effects” Tian responded

I looked franticly at Kein his grows growing louder and louder, the louder they got the tighter Dave held on to me

“Don’t worry Alicia, I’ve got you” he winked

My eyes shot to Kein at Dave’s words

“I’m gonna kill him” his voice vibrated in my head

“Oh no” I stood up shoving Dave’s hands off me in the process

“come on everyone woohoo!” I shrieked clapping more franticly than anyone and gesturing for everyone to stand up, they quickly joined me, I sighed in relief as the growls slowly faded away

his voice intense in my head knocking me back down to my chair

“My office now!”
