Taking Opportunities
Chapter 73
Taking opportunities
"I've just forwarded the message to your inbox." She said,
"What is the message about?" He asked.
"Uhm… it's… it is…" she had no idea why she was stuttering. She took a deep breath, " It's a message from Mr. Beau… " she paused. "...he does not want to push through with the deal." She finally broadcasted.
"What? Why?" He asked, panicking.
In his office, he quickly opened his mailbox and rapidly swept his eyes over the contents of the message.
"Fuck!" He cursed out loud and swept his hand over his desk, pushing over everything on his desk in anger, including his poor computer.
Monica on the other end of the phone, jolted out of fright as if she were present in the room with him.
She remained quiet as she clenched the phone in her hand, waiting for his order. She remained frozen, a little bit too frightened to continue chewing.
Up till now, she still had no idea why Mike had been hell bent on getting hold of that property. All her years with him, she'd never seen him so adamant about anything like this.
She was damn aware of just how much effort and money he was willing to invest in acquiring that particular property, unfortunately, Alex Beau was not willing to give it. Just what the hell is so special about it?
"Sir?" She called skeptically when after more than a couple of minutes the only thing she could hear over the phone was his heavy breathing.
"What Monica?" He asked scoldingly.
"Uhm… is there anything that you want me to do?" She asked calmly. She understood his anger and most atimes when he's angry, he would roughly bend her over his desk or chair and fuck her. Unfortunately, right now, she was in no state to handle even a one inch dick.
"No." He said coldly and hung up.
"Ehn, whatever," she shrugged her shoulders and went back to her toast, which she'd been eating forever.
"Sorry, to barge in."
"Holy shit! Fuck!" She exclaimed and jolted, almost tripping off her chair, but actually letting go of the toast in her hand when she heard a voice behind her.
"Claire?" Monica stood up and turned to face the owner of the voice.
"Sorry that I startled you." Claire apologized with a smile.
"Startled? You fricked the living and dead devil out of me." She said dramatically. "How did you get in and what are you doing here?" Monica bombarded Claire with questions while dusting off imaginary from the t-shirt she had on.
" You forgot your jacket in my car." Claire said, while stretching her hand, handing the purse to Monica.
"Oh, thank you." Monica, now a little calm, reached out and took her purse.
Actually Claire was the one to drive her home because they lived not far from each other compared to Ines.
"I brought it as soon as I noticed it, because I knew that once my body hit the bed, I won't be waking up until tomorrow." Claire explained.
Monica just nodded.
"Thanks."
"Plus the door was open." Claire added.
"I need to decease from this bad habit of not bolting my door." Monica chuckled dryly.
"Yeah, uhmm, I could not help but pick up bits of your conversation,"Claire started. "You had a deal with Mr Beau?" She asked.
"You've been here for that long?" Monica asked in bewilderment.
"Yeah, I had no intention of interrupting." Claire defended, while playing with her fingers like an anxious kid.
"Oh, ok. Yes, we had a deal in progress with Mr Beau, but he canceled it." Monica explained. "If I may ask, why are you interested?"
"Oh!" Claire racked her brain on what was appropriate enough to say. "Just asking." She waved it off with a pretentious smile.
Monica gave her the I-am-not-, buying-it look.
"He's my boyfriend," she added. She watched how Monica's eyes bulged out.
Normally, anyone would be surprised hearing that revelation especially, given the fact that she spent her night being tossed around by a group of strange men. There were two explanations; either they were in an open re or Claire was a never-satisfied slut… the second would always be the obvious.
"What, are you serious?" Monica asked after she had waited for Claire to say, 'oh, I'm kidding,' kind of thing, but she did not.
"Don't think about it," Claire shrugged. "Who do you work for, I can pull some strings if…."
"Mr Grinde… Mike Grinde." Monica quickly cut her off.
"Oh, yeah. I know him." Claire said. "I'll see what I can do." She added nicely.
"Ok, thanks." Monica said, "But, if I may ask, about your boyfriend?.." Monica started carefully.
"I don't mean to prey in, but…"
"I do all this for personal fun. Let it be our little secret, shall it?" She winked at Monica and bounced out.
As soon as Claire stepped out of Monica's apartment, a sinister smile lit up her face. Technically, she had been the one having most discussions with Mr. Grinde. Even though Alex had immediately logged her out of his system as soon as he fired her, she still had Mike's personal number and so she made the call.
"Mr Grinde." She said when a cold pissed off voice answered her call. She loved how angry he was, the more the anger, the more the hatred, the easier it was for him to desperately succumb to her demands.
"Who is this?" He asked coldly.
"I'm Claire, Mr Beau's girlfriend…. actually, ex-girlfriend." She introduced.
"What do you want?" He asked sternly.
"I know that you want something from my Alex," she started, going straight to the point, "you see, he owes me too…" she paused for a bit.
Mike stayed silent.
"I can help you help me." She said, "And before you say that you are not interested, let's meet face to face and have a talk." She quickly added.
"But you have to be willing to be patient." She said boldly.
"I'll see about that." He replied coldly and hung up.
She smiled. "First, I built my army." She said out loud as she drove off.
She knew that if she needed to go against Alex, she needed someone with the resources. She could definitely raise her own money, given her new found passion, but she needed more than money.
Before leaving this morning, she had a huge check with her, money she never thought she could earn in one night. The thought of finding more girls willing to offer their services and guys willing to pay for them, kept on ringing all over in her head, and somehow, she already had it virtually figured out.
Yesterday morning, it was just an idea… right now it was more than a dream, it was her goal.
She couldn't stay jobless. Everything about her life had always revolved around Alex, but she had to prove to him that; she could be everything she wanted to be, without his help.
True she did wrong, she blondered, she hurt him, but all that had nothing to do with him firing her...he had to pay for that.
She already had Seth and his boys willing to pay her and the other girls once every month to freely fuck and use them in anyway the guys pleased. One month__that's only because they needed time for their bodies to heal as women. As for the boys, they could perform every day as long as there were girls available.
She had to make that happen, and Mike Grinde was going to help her make it happen.
