Myth
There’s nothing wrong with fabulous and expensive gowns at my wedding. That will only happen once but I prefer it to be simple because the important thing is that Magnus and I get married. Another is that the expensive gown is just a waste because it will only be worn once. I’m sure Magnus will just destroy it on the wedding night.
I circled the shop first. My eyes caught a tube lace wedding gown. I moved away when someone stood beside me. I stared at it, it still shades even at night. She was busy looking at wedding gowns.
“Do you need help Ma’am?” said a staff member.
I shook my head and smiled at her. It moved to the woman on my right.
“Do you need help Ma’am?”
“Yes. Next week is my wedding, Thursday exactly and I want an extravagant wedding gown that will make my groom drool in front of everyone in the church.”
My forehead furrowed. Our wedding dates are the same, what a coincidence.
“Oh, Ma’am, you’re so beautiful, your groom will really spit on you! You look so familiar, Ma’am! You seem to weigh heavily on the luck of your future wife, Ma’am!”
I want to peek at the girl’s face but I don’t want to be caught eavesdropping.
“Oh I’m the lucky one! He’s a Morrison! All the girls are chasing him,” she said.
I flinched when the wedding gown on my hands fell on the ground. I immediately picked you up so as not to get attention.
Morrison? Even our groom’s last name is the same! I mean there are many Morrison in the world but I also like this wedding date!
“Oh Morrison ?! How lucky are you Ma’am! That’s the bachelor, isn’t it Maam?”
“What’s that? Malton?”
“Magnus, Magnus Morrison.”
My eyes widened. This is too much for a coincidence. I can’t take it anymore. I need to know who this girl is! Fake news is still spreading!
I glanced in her direction, at the exact moment she took off her shades.
“Aira?”
She smiled deviously, satisfied with my shocked reaction. For sure she already expected how I’ll react.
“What are you doing here? I don’t want any more trouble. Just leave.”
Now it makes sense why our wedding date is the same. The only difference is that my marriage to her was a fabrication. Couldn’t he be an illuminati?
Shit!
“I won’t stoop that low on your level Celiza, Calm down,” she said and continued to look for a gown, “I’m just looking for my wedding gown, ‘cause for sure Magnus will marry me instead of you. “
My bros furrowed. Does this feelingera say?
“That’s crazy Aira.”
“No, I’m not. But you’re going crazy.” She smirked.
I took a deep breath. This is probably the first step of moving on. In denial.
“Stop this already, Aira. It’s over. Magnus and I are getting married, just accept it.”
She faced me and crossed her arms.
“That’s the right thing to do Celiza. You already knew what to do when he left you. Acceptance is really the key.”
“You should apply that to yourself Aira. I know you can’t accept everything but Magnus chose me. He loves me. Whatever lies your mouth says, it won’t affect me anymore. I trust Magnus over a girl who can’t move on and accept truth and rejection. “
She scoffed. “Enjoy your happiness while it lasts, Celiza.”
My eyes narrowed. “Whatever you’re planning, don’t go ahead because I’m sure you won’t succeed Aira. Go away,” I said.
“Why? Are you the only one buying a wedding gown?”
“Atlis can I use you? Leave Aira.”
Her brow raised.
“And who are you to evict me? This is not your property nor the Morrisons. What are you gonna do? Slap me? Get violent?”
My eyes widened when warm and soft lips landed on my cheeks. I throw a glance on my side.
“Violence is unnecessary. We could all be at peace, Aira.”
Like me Aira’s eyes widened as well. Anger quickly changed its eyes. When he shifted his gaze to Magnus his face became gentle.
“M-it’s as big as Celiza—”
“Leave her alone, Aira. Respect my decision so we could all be at peace. If you can’t do it as a friend then do it as a person.”
“No. You’ll be crawling back to me Magnus. Let’s see if you can still say that when you find out—”
“Aira stop it.” Toci showed up behind her. What is Toci doing here?
“Let them be.” She grabbed her arms.
“No I won’t—” she protested but Toci pulled her away.
“I’m sorry. We’ll be first.”
We watched them walk out the boutique.
I faced Magnus on my side. I scanned him, he is fucking stunning! Why is it like this? Isn’t Magnus’ good looks normal anymore? Isn’t it just the work of my imagination? Shit! I’m not an illuminati!
What the heck!
“Baby you’re spacing out.”
“No ah! I’m not an illuminati!”
“What baby?”
I shook my head. It’s really bad for me to soak in social media for memes!
“Nothing. But why are you here?”
“I miss my wife.” I find it cute when he scratches the back of his neck. He’s still my shy Magnus.
“Obviously with your ten hearts and kissing emojis that have alternated!” I chuckled.
He pursed his lips. “I said I should just five hearts and kiss emoji.”
I tried my best not to laugh at what he murmured to himself.
“Am I too clingy?”
I shook my head and wrapped my arms around his neck. “Even if you still use all the emojis in a text, Magnus.”
“Even the emoji pin?”
My brows raised. “Yes, at least everyone. But what’s in the pin emoji? In the last text you were just like that.”
He pulled me closer.
“Cause I want to pin you on the wall baby. The emoji is just a reminder.”
Shivers ran through me. Warmth crept on my cheeks. “That’s why there’s always none in your text!”
He nodded and grinned.
“Wait. Isn’t it forbidden for the groom to see the bride’s wedding gown because the wedding might not go ahead!”
He chuckled and pecked a kiss on my forehead.
“Oh baby nothing can’t stop me from marrying you. Not even a myth, gossip, rumors and anything. I’ll marry you whatever it takes.”
