I want to be left alone
By the time Goodluck settled at home, he was just too sad for words.
"why does she do that all time?
He asked rhetorically, then after few minutes silence, he got so angry that he threw things around.
Maxwell had been standing by the door and watching him, but he had been too angry with himself that he had not notice him.
He had followed him from the hospital.
He wanted to stop him from hurting himself and destroying his properties, but he could not be stopped.
When he sat on the floor feeling dejected, he cleared his throat to get his attention, and he succeeded.
"I want to be left alone".
He immediately spoke up, but Maxwell ignores him and walked inside the house, finding himself a corner on the same floor.
" You should know her by now.
And with your knowledge about women, you should know that, you should treat her every misbehaviour with caution.
"All I want is to protect her, but she keeps getting me angry, and wanting to just run into the lion's den.
I am really tired, maybe I mistook the fact that she loves me, I guess she loves him and she is kind of in a dilemma, I want to give her space and allow her choose".
He said that last part in a sober tone.
He got up to leave Maxwell there to go to his room, but Maxwell spoke before he exited the living room.
"You need to fight for what you want.
Don't allow him throw all the blows and leave you there.
I know he doesn't really love my sister, he wants her back because of what he learnt, and my sister feels he owes him for solving the mystery for her, while in our case, we just kept the truth from her, to save her from feeling so bad, but she needs to understand that.
Please fight for her".
He begged.
Goodluck looked back and nodded his head in the negative.
"If you love something so much, you should let it go, if that is what will make her happy.
Just like I never relented to show her love, I will never relent to show her care and protect her, but for now, it has to be what she wants".
With that he walks away.
Maxwell shook his head, and waited for a while before speaking to himself.
"Amanda, you surely need some spanking, and I am going to make sure you get some".
He went back to the hospital, and found his mother there.
She is still taking her treatment, but she also needs to be around to take care of Amanda.
Joy doesn't have so much experience, so she might not do much for Amanda.
"What is all the drama with you and Goodluck about?
Amanda didn't want to answer.
She was also angry with her brother.
"I should also take out my angry on you.
I mean how could you have the answer to my problems and you just kept quiet all these while?
"We kept it a secret to save you.
Just learning the truth, look at what it did to you.
Goodluck thought that after you give birth and out of Danger, we should tell you about it, but that big mouth Dave had to come here.
He really got some guts".
Amanda was speechless, her mother also didn't want to say anything, she just watch as her kids argue about Goodluck.
"I think I understand how you feel Amanda, but look on the other side of things.
Goodluck just wanted to save you from so much trauma, like the one you are going through now.
You are supposed to be enjoying this moment with Goodluck, but here you are, fighting.
You couldn't even do anything just a while ago, if he didn't come in, now you asked him to leave?
Joy sounded so angry, that she could not wait to get a reaction from Amanda, she just walked away.
Maxwell also walked away, wanting his sister to know that they are not happy with what she did.
If no one is around her, she might realise she has done something wrong, and come to her senses.
"Did I do something wrong?
She asked her mother, after everyone else had gone, and because she had been too quiet.

You love him, you have always loved h, don't take any time fighting.
So that you don't regret it.
And you really should start acting more mature about things.
You are now a mother, don't forget that".
She finished what she was doing, and went to sit, on the single seat.
She had barely sat down, when the door opened again.
Dave walked on with a bouquet in his hand.
Amanda smiles, but it wasn't her favorite, it was his.
He never get to remember that she loves Red Rose, he kept getting her violet Roses, mixes with caramel.
"Thanks".
She tells him, as he handed her the flower.
She dropped it close to her bed.
He went close to where the baby is, and touched her tiny hands.
"She looks so much like you".
She could not agree less, though she kind of see Goodluck in the girl.
"I have heard that a lot".
He tried to speak with Mrs Chukwu, but she couldn't pretend, she excused herself.
Dave tried to act like what she did, had no effect on him, but deeply, he was hurt.
"I am really sorry about everything that happened between us Amanda, I really am".
He started well, and she let out a tear, as she thought back to what happened to her.
How she was humiliated, and called different names.

He got up and wiped her tears with his palm.
She looked into his eyes, and it was fixated on his for a while, that she didn't know he was already coming close to her.
It was when she could smell his perfume so close to her nostrils that she shook her head, as if coming out of a trance.
"I appreciate the fact that you are sorry, and I am sorry too".
Dave was quick to answer her.
"No don't say sorry, You didn't do anything, you should sue me and my family for the things we did to you, we deserve to be punished".
"That is not why I am apologizing".
She says calmly, and their eyes lock again in what seem like forever, before she finally blinked and spoke.
I am apologizing because I cannot give you what you want.
I cannot come back to you.
I am in love with someone else, and he loves me unconditionally, he accepted me and my child".
"You are being sentimental here.
The fact that he helped you, and accepted you, doesn't mean he loves you.
I am your husband, I love you, you know I love you, please give us a chance".
"I am sorry Dave, but we can also it see each other again.
I hold no grudge against you or your family, so you can move on with your life".
Dave could no longer take it, he got up angrily and rushed to kiss her.
Before she could react, Goodluck walked in and sees them kissing.
