Meeting Tracy

Amanda wanted to get home as soon as possible, her head still bent low while her brother took her away, he was too engrossed in ensuring she was okay, her head was spinning, she could faint anytime soon, if she doesn't find a place to rest her head.

She knows that it would be too much to ask, that she rest her head, on his shoulder, or for him to carry her, that was the sort of comfort, she needed.

Maxwell was busy running his hands on her head, in a bit to straighten her rough and shabby looking hair, That he didn't know know they were already at the exit, as they were about to open, it opened itself, and  they almost bumped into the person entering.

Amanda's face was still low, she thanked her stars that her brother was around, even though she wished it was for real, and he wouldn't change later to taunt her. She still couldn't believe how sweet her brother was acting, she thought it was weird, but she was enjoying it anyway.

Her eyes were wet, but she could see clearly, looking down her eye caught the most beautiful feet she thought she had seen for like forever, the skin tone was out of this world, she wiped her tears with the back of her hand like a baby, and looked up at the person who just came in,  it was the same lady that had walked in before, but left to take a call, but it took her quite a while, she was really beautiful.

Almost everybody at the hall way stared at her in admiration and were practically drooling at her presence.

Mrs Brown was already walking towards them, and was smiling brightly as she called out.

"Oh Tracy, I am glad you could come back, so did you get the issue sorted out? She asked and the Tracy nodded, still looking at Amanda.

Her simple statement meant alot, and told alot.

She didn't just hit Amanda's alert button, she made her take a second look at the lady she had been admiring. So this was Tracy, she was indeed a beauty to behold, she wondered why Dave broke up with her in the first place, if she was this beautiful, then no man would want to loose her, and clearly, she still wanted Dave, as her mother inlaw never stopped calling and asking her to be patient that what is hers will definitely be hers.

They hugged each other and Mrs Brown gave Amanda a knowing look before moving forward, with just three steps she was already standing in front of Amanda and her brother who held her tight.

"Tracy dear, this is Amanda, the woman living with my son, and almost killed him"

Tracy didn't seem Interested with what Mrs Brown was about to do, but she still smiled anyways.

Maxwell could not take it anymore and didn't want his sister to listen anymore, so he pulled her away, before Mrs Brown could say more. Amanda wiped her tears and just obediently followed her brother, she wished she could answer, but she was too tired, she needed rest from all the dramas, after all she was pregnant, even though she didn't know the father of her baby, that doesn't mean her blood and water are not involved in the production, and well-being of the baby, and what is more, the baby doesn't understand what it means to be raped or drugged so why maltreat a baby in the womb with stress and all, when one would only end up stressing herself out.

By the time they were outside, Amanda released a breath, she knew she had been holding, the impulse to throw up was so strong, that she threw up as soon as they were outside the hospital.

She took another look at the hospital, and wish things happened differently.

Maxwell and Joy were really supportive of her, he got water and help wash her face and then he gently help her in to the car.

Maxwell drove her to her house, and soon as she got to the house, she walked straight into her room, the room she used to share with her husband, the room that used to be her most sacred room at a time, she didn't even care if she had guest, she was too tired to discuss, she sighted her bed, and it felt like she just found a gold mine, slummed on the bed, and in the next minute she was sleeping.

Maxwell watched, as she slept, and snoring Loudly, that was the first time he saw her snore so loud, she must be tired and really exhausted.

Maxwell took Joy to the living room, leaving Amanda in her bedroom to rest, he was willing to stay for a while and help solve the mystery, though he doesn't know where to start, but he feels something was off, and his sister had been among wolves. The phone on his hands vibrated and that was when he realized he was with Amanda's phone, she was sleeping and he  couldn't take it to her, but the identity of the caller  interested him.

Goodluck was calling. He hesitated and allowed it ring till it stopped, contemplating whether to pick his sister's call or not. All these years he had come to realise every body needs and deserves some privacy, he had learnt alot from his girlfriend Tina, they would have been married by now, just that Tina wants to finish her master's before getting married. His thought was interrupted again as the phone started to vibrate, he knew the caller and they haven't seen or heard from each other since the day they had that fight and he was taken to the hospital, when he got discharged he changed location and no one heard or saw him again, Maxwell had acted all strong and bold but he was actually dieing inside, he regretted every bit of his actions, and have realized how far he stepped trying to protect his sister, yet here she was pregnant with  no one coming forward to take responsibility. He took a last look at the caller and decided to pick it before it ends again.

"Hello Good luck"

He almost said Goody but changed his mind, he couldn't try to sound all friendly with him, not after everything he had done to him, he left him alone to die and he was sorry, but doesn't really know how to come about apologising.

On the other end of the call. Goodluck wanted to end the call, and never call back, but he was angry with Maxwell not with Amanda, and though Amanda had told him not to come to the hospital, he hadn't listened, he had been around in the hospital even before Maxwell had arrived with a girl. He really didn't know who the girl is, though she looked somehow familiar, she looks like a girl from the area, where they lived, before, the same area, where he almost died. He didn't want to know the girl, and he didn't care, but he was happy with the way his ex best friend took care of the woman he was still clearly inlove with, even though he refuse to admit  it to himself.
