So why am I crying?

Amanda looked up at him shocked and asked the same question in a different way.

"so why am I crying?  Did you not hear me, I said, my husband, came home with his ex, and she threw my things out of my own room, can you just imagine her throwing my clothes, underwear and personal belongings to the guest room. Is that not enough to cry? I was humiliated, insulted, that wasn't really what hurt the most, the fact that Dave could mock my mother's recent condition only means that things have gone really bad"

"I never said it wasn't enough reason to cry, but you need not to, you have me, and Maxwell to lean on, you know I would never allow anything bad happen to you, but you crying for Dave's attitude is hurting me, it seems as if we are not doing enough, we are here for you, we have left everything to be here with you, and aunty, so you need not cry for a looser like Dave who is too blind to know your worth". He moved close to her, and held her hand.

Please I don't ever want to see you crying again, please I beg you". But then her next statement only broke his heart the more.

"I don't have any worth, I am worthless right now, I am not worthy to be called a wife or a woman, I am pregnant with a fatherless child, I haven't been completely faithful to my husband, what worth does a woman like me have?

Maxwell was paying Keen attention to their conversation, and he could feel his heart boil as he heard what had happened before the accident, he wanted to go back inside to comfort her, but he would only be intruding, he was sure Goodluck would do a better job than him, and if his sister didn't respond in his presence it only means he didn't want him to know.

Once again, as if confirming what he just thought of, Amanda said.

"I didn't say anything earlier because I don't want Maxwell to know, if he does, he would worry, and I don't want that, I feel I have troubled him too much"

Maxwell heard that, and sighed knowing his sister was only worried for him and not because she didn't trust him.

"Please don't tell him, Don't Tell him about what I just said, if he asks you just cook up something for him"

"Amanda, I don't want to keep things from your brother again, especially anything that has to do with you, we are working together to unravel this mystery, and you want me to lie to him?

"Please  I beg you just do this for me, I don't want him to know that Tracy is in my house, I also don't want him to know Dave insulted my mother, just do other things together, and don't talk about this. I really don't want him worrying about me, I am going to fix this problem". She gave him a puppy look, and he looked away immediately, avoiding what her looks was doing to him.

There was no way he could say no to her if she was looking at him that way. He decided to use it to his own advantage, by giving her a condition, for his cooperation.

"I will not tell him, only on one condition". He says and she looked up at him, their eyes met, and stayed there for a while, she couldn't look away, she felt like running into his arms.

"Anything" she managed to say, still staring at him. It seem as though she just began to realise how handsome he is.

She was thinking of what condition Maxwell was going to give her, she was thinking of so many crazy things, but then she heard him say.

"On the condition, That you never, ever say that you are worthless again,

Amanda was expecting something else, but what he just said melted her heart, and healed her broken heart, she knew there and then that she would never regret meeting and falling for him, he had the best remedy for her heart, he had the answers to her unspoken questions, he was her ace. As they lock eyes with each other, she wish she could tell him to come close and kiss her, but he was just looking at her, and she could feel different emotions, streaming down her heart.

"I promise" she almost whispered, but he heard her, still with their eyes fixated on each other

She said it again, with a smile, which made him move even closer and he kissed her crown, she thought he would stop there, but he went further to kiss her nose and kissing the tears off her cheek, she started to feel cold shiver down her spine, she could only sense the next place that would receive his touch, then she moved to her neck and then her lips, she again thought that it would be a quick kiss just like what he did with her forehead and nose but it got intimate, he was hungry for her, he wanted her as much as she wanted him.

As the kissing intensified, she knew her heart was already stolen, she could deny it all she want, she could try to fight it all she wants, she could make herself believe she was sad Tracy came back into Dave's life, she could claim she was hurt her marriage was crashing before her eyes but the truth was she was happy about it all. She didn't want to feel too guilty about what was happening.

She had spent all her life feeling bad about what she didn't allow her husband do, that she feels she deserves all she was getting.

"Is this not a sin?. She said, as she looked into his needy eye, stoping him from what he was doing, though his eyes were still so close to her, that she could take back his lips into hers, and continue from where she left off.

"You are mine, you have always been mine, and there is no way, kissing me can be a sin, when I get to heaven, I will explain to God, fate tried to take you away, and all I did was to take you back from fate".

She was speechless, she smiled at him and pulled him by the collar, closer to her, and started kissing him all over again. He was so happy that she made this move, because unlike before, she is now kissing him hungrilly.

Maxwell wasn't paying attention anymore, because as soon as he couldn't hear their voices anymore, he knew what they were doing, and he hoped this time they would be smart enough not to leave any trace, like the last time, he decided to leave to check up on his mother and also to give Dave a call.

"Amanda would leave that house"

He said to himself out loud as he walked down the hall
