So why are you crying?

Maxwell and Dave didn't know where the question was coming from or what they should make of her question, they were not even in the mood to answer or to think about it. Though Goodluck was angry. Why should she be asking of him, when he didn't even care to know how she was feeling.

He tried to imagine himself in Dave's position, he would not be able to breath, if he had heard that Amanda was involved in an accident, but he had been comfortable to even stay back at home.

Maxwell was even confused at her question because he was sure it was Dave, that called him, and he sounded fine to him, so he was sure he wasn't the other person with her when the accident happened or the person she crashed with.

Goodluck thought her question came as a result that she had been with Dave, maybe they were on their way to the hospital after he was discharged because he had eyes on the Brown's family and was watching their every move, and had been informed that Dave was discharged, but what he didn't know was that Amanda never got to the hospital to bring Dave home, though he hadn't called his assistant yet.

"What happened, how did you end up here?

Amanda was taken aback by Goodluck's question, she had asked a question, and was expecting a response, but she got a question in return and that had brought her to the realization that she was asking the wrong people, and it was really bad for her to be asking them such a question.

She remembered how it all happened now, she was crying and driving at a really high speed, when she crashed with another  driver, then she looked up at the nurse who was busy attending to her. And ignoring Goodluck's question, she asked the nurse another question instead.

"The man that was brought in with me, where is he, hope he is fine? She was really worried, if she had followed all the traffic rules, she would not have been asking such a question, she had almost killed a man, that is if he was not already dead.

Now both men were confused as to why she was acting weird, her question about the man that was brought in with her, only made them think the other inmate was Dave, so they silently decided to watch the drama, their consolation was that she was fine only minor bruises here and there.

"The man was badly injured ma, but he will be fine, he is recovering"

The nurse said, and made to leave. Goodluck took the seat close to the bed while Maxwell sat on the visitor's seat. He hadn't been able to say anything since he entered, he was just shocked to see his pregnant sister in Danger, he wanted to hear from the doctor, and be sure she was fine, he didn't want to add to his mother's worries, and send her to death earlier than supposed.

What Happened Amanda?

Goodluck's voice came again and this time he sounded somehow angry, he hated what she was doing, she was ignoring his questions on purpose, and he was getting really angry, and it was evident as Maxwell looked at him he decided to ask the same question his friend was asking.

"I was driving, I wanted to come see mum, but I was driving too fast I crashed with another and I ended up here.

That wasn't the entire story, and Goodluck could tell she was hiding something, she was trying really hard to avoid further question, but today wasn't one of those days that Goodluck felt he needed to be modest, he wasn't going to take her silence, he wasn't going to let her off easy, he wanted to know what happened.

"That wasn't the whole story, you just told us what happened few hours ago, what I want to know is what happened before you got into the car"

Maxwell was enjoying the show, this was the first time Goodluck was expressing himself freely with him in the picture, and he didn't have any reason to excuse them, but he still felt his sister wasn't as comfortable to talk in his presence as his friend was so he decided to leave.

" I will go check on mum, please stay with her"

He told his friend as if that one had any plans of leaving her without an answer, the moment he was sure his friend was out of sight he asked again.

"Tell me what happened before you got into the car"

Maxwell wanted to leave but decided to eavesdrop, he was also curious to know what happened to his sister, and he didn't want them keeping things from him.

"Dave brought his ex girlfriend home, and he allowed her say hurtful things to me, he also said really bad things to me and my mother, then the girl grabbed my things and threw them out of our bedroom to the guest room"

She started sobbing, but instead of consoling her Goodluck allowed her, so that she would finish what she was saying.

"So I wanted to get away from the house, I couldn't call for a taxi, so I drove instead and got involved in an accident, that was what Happened"

She concluded and finally looked up at him, he looked at her with so much concern in his eyes, he didn't like the fact that she was crying, as a matter of fact, he was happy that Dave was giving him back his girl with his own hands without a fight, but what he didn't like was the fact that she was crying.

He never wants to see her in pain or in tears, if only she would let him, he was willing to take her away to a far away land, where no harm will ever come to her again.

She increased her sob, and he just felt his heart break like a million times, after what felt like a really long silence, Goodluck asked.

"So why are you crying?
