Pregnant Tracy
Tracy was enjoying the attention she was getting from Dave, she was so happy she is pregnant, and was sure Dave was the father, she hadn't been with another man since she moved in with him, but been the kind of person she was, she needed to get married, she couldn't just stay with a man who wasn't taking responsibility, she had been living with him for the past two months and it was something she had always wanted, but she still needed him to meet her parents and make their relationship official, before she starts to show.
"I don't need you stressing yourself, I want to make sure you eat very well and give me a healthy baby". Dave said excited after their visit to the doctor, who told them, that she is healthy, and would not have much issues, giving birth.
"Have you called mum, she was talking about a party at her place". Tracy reminded him, changing the topic, but Dave dismissed his mother's issue, and decided to talk about her instead.
"I want a baby girl, girls take care of their parents more". She told him, and he shook his head.
"I want a baby boy, I can play football with, he is going to be a world best player". Dave tease her, to Kling her and making her laugh hard.
"There is no way my child is going to be a footballer, if it's a boy, I would rather have him come as the president of the contry". She prided herself, dismissing the football part of the discussion.
"There are footballers, that are richer than the president, don't you know? He asked her, trying to mock her ignorance, but she shocked him with her response.
"I am not talking about the monetry aspect, I am talking about a leader".
Dave didn't want to argue, he was just too happy for words.
He was excited about her pregnancy and Mrs Brown was over the moon about it, she wanted to throw a big party and call her friends but Tracy wanted non of it until they met her parents so Mrs Brown had to come into the picture. Since this was the opportunity she had been waiting for, the moment she visited them, her first statement after exchanging greetings was not as
"Dave you cannot keep a girl in this house and get her pregnant without marrying her, it is not done, and you know she is not just any girl, she is the daughter of a very wealthy and famous man"
His mother said almost yelling at him, as he straightened his tie to go out. Tracy had called her to come and spend the time with them so that she could speak some sense into the boy, she was sure if she threatened to leave he would do something.
"Mother I am planning something just calm down"
"You will only embarrass her when she starts to show, she is still a young girl, what do you want people to say about her"
Now Dave was really not happy with all the nagging about marrying Tracy, he really didn't want to marry her, he was happy about her pregnancy, but wasn't as thrilled as he had been when Amanda had been pregnant with his son, but he still had to do the needful, he needed to do the right thing, so he promised his mother to go meet her parents during the weekend.
Tracy had been evesdropping on them while they discuss.
"Dave must be crazy, does he want me as a baby mama or what, so he doesn't want to Marry me, he just want me to have a baby for him, and that is it? No way! She was so angry, that she could not sit down, she kept moving up and down, until she heard him promise he was going to go see her parents over the weekend, though it had made her happy, she still feel he was telling lies, so she waited till he was out.
As soon as Mrs Brown sees Tracy coming out of the room, she rushed towards her to share the good news with her.
"He is going to see your parents this weekend, you know I won't go with him now, he is going to go and ask first, then we will go with some villagers next times.
Don't worry, it will turn out well". She added, encouraging the happy looking girl, who didn't know how to react to the news.
She hugged Mrs Brown and rushed back to her room, she was so happy, that she could not sit at a place or think straight, she grabbed her phone, and called some friends, then, she dialed the number of her parents.
she started calling her parents to tell them to prepare for their visit. Money wasn't a problem for her, all she needed was his interest and she would do every other thing.
It was going to be an introduction not a wedding, but Tracy made so much noise about it that two days later even the media was talking about it.
Amanda also heard the news, she actually saw it in a not so common newspaper with their picture, she was surprised at the publicity, she had never gotten such publicity when she was with him, but she knew the publicity came from Tracy, she wanted to call him to congratulate him but she didn't want to be misunderstood and so she pretended not to have heard about it until Goodluck himself brought him the paper with a different headline to it and a different picture, she wondered to herself if Dave actually did fall inlove with Tracy or was it because she was pregnant?
She remembered how he had been overwhelmed about her pregnancy and how he wanted to do all the house chores and never let her do anything, he always pampered her, she could have swore it was love, how he changed so much towards her still surprised her, but then again she knew he didn't really have a choice, she wished him well in her heart, if Tracy was truely his love, she wished they live happily ever after.
