Tracy's pregnancy
Tracy had told her parents to inform their friends and colleagues about her introduction, she wanted it to be close to the original wedding, but the father had refused. He was aware of how the child lived and he didn't want to be happy for nothing, he was also aware as to the nature of relationship between her daughter and Dave and he was sure her daughter didn't get Dave's attention because he loved her, but because he really didn't have a choice, but he was happy, at last his daughter was getting married, he had had to end some people who worked for him whom his daughter had slept with, he wondered how much more his daughter was going to embarrass him, he had claimed to disown her many times, but he could really not disown his only daughter.
He had been unlucky with children he was blessed with only one daughter and one son who was somewhere outside the country, obviously lost in a foreign land who didn't have any plans of coming back.
He called his kins men and his brothers to the introduction making it as low key as possible, but once again, his daughter had a different plan.
She and her friends had a uniform, her friends were just too much and some reporters came because she had invited them to her father's house, her mother and brother who finally came saying they have to plan the wedding at the same time else he won't have time to come back to Nigeria for a wedding and this made them plan the next weekend for the wedding after the introduction.
When Dave heard about the plan, he reluctantly agreed as he didn't have much say in the decision making, his mother was too excited to even object to what ever they were saying, and as expected, the family he was marrying to didn't think he had the right to ask questions.
Influential men in the society always feel others that are not as influential as they are, have no right to speak when they speak, and should not say anything to change a plan which they have made, somehow, they are the only once, that can make decisions.
The eve of the introduction, Tracy had gone for a machine body wash as she claimed she wanted to look her best, when she came out of the beauty room, where she got her body washed, Dave tried to see something different about her, but he couldn't see anything.
"How do I look babe? She asked, and he looked even keener, hoping to find something unique, as to why they had spent a huge sum, just to come and get her a machine body wash, but not wanting to disappoint her, he smiled, and hugged her.
"I am lost for words at your looks". He told her, and she was happy, but in the real sense, he saw nothing.
Though as he hugged her, he touched her body, when he felt her skin, she felt like a baby, she was so soft one could be scared that any needle close to her could destroy her body.
"And your skin, oh my God, it is like that if a baby,you look amazing girl". He told her truthfully, to which Tracy could not help but kiss him passionately. People around started looking at them, and Camera flash could be seen.
Tracy is the daughter of a popular man, so bloggers needed images of what to write on.
Dave wasn't surprised that within few months he had become so popular, he was well known now and a lot of people wanted to do business with him, he liked that part of the attention, almost all the contract he was getting were freely signed and agreed upon as people wanted to keep the relationship with the future son in-law.
He was also seeibgbhimself on social media, most places, that he would have thought that no one would find him, he is always shocked to find an image of himself there.
He didn't have a life if his own, he could only imagine, what the very popular super stars go through.
The introduction finally came, and Dave and his family were gathered at Tracy's family house.
His father Mr Chuks Desmond, but popularly called Mr Desmond, was elegantly dressed while his wife was as elegant as her husband, she wore something to match her color, and her she paired with what her husband was wearing. She could never be seen less attractive, being the wife of a wealthy famous man, she needed to meet up
When the occasion started, Mr Chuks wasn't happy that what he had planned to be a low key introduction has escalated.
He looked around his house where he was supposed to welcome only family related persons, but he was surrounded by friends, well-wisher as though it was the wedding proper.
He came down to watch after he was through with his inlaws and plans have been made with dates already fixed.
He watched as his daughter danced with different men without shame or respect for her husband to be, he also saw how Dave stared at her, but he was trying to be as strong as possible, he wanted to do better. He wanted to be a good father to his child and punctual at whatever he was in, the couple were so happy that any other thing would be taken away. Dave thanked everyone for coming, but he couldn't wait to go home, he wanted to rest.
That rest was what Sonia tried to give him, she stopped him from drinking further before taking him inside, making the bed for him, she arranged them to his taste.
He had not planned to stay at his wife's place, but since the party was still on, he couldn't just leave, so he agreed to taking a short nap in the room, Sonia had prepared for him, thinking he would be able to leave, when every one was done dancing, bit little did he know, that his body could not take any more movement, he needed to sleep, and that wus what he would do.
He jumped on the big bed and was glad the introduction was over, at least for him.
