CHAPTER 19 (Part 1)
Talliah Eryn Castillego POV
LEAVING SOMEONE you loved so much is so hard. It's like you're losing your other half. Did I ever regret leaving the person I've dreamed of for years? Did I ever regret that I left him instead of staying and plan a bitter idea so we could be together?
Am I regretting for the action I made? My answer is no, for the past years I didn't regret leaving him. Leaving him is the best choice I've ever made. I felt that once in my life I was not selfish just for my own happiness.
Why should I regret something if I know it will be good for him. Why should I regret something I know is right? Leaving him is not a regret.
Because as I left him I realized a lot. I realized that I don't always have to be selfish. I should think about the person who is important to me.
My life these past years is so hard. I faced so many struggles. I faced so many problems while leaving my life behind. Every day was not easy for me. I lived alone on an island where no one knew me.
On an island where my parents and I always go when we want to go on vacation. On a peaceful and quiet island.
Las Heras Island is really a nice and beautiful island for me. This island became my home after I left. This island became my hiding place. This island became my paradise.
I am still here in the area that's still part of the Philippines. I didn't leave the country. I can't seem to bear being away from the country where I grew up. So I chose this island to be my temporary home until everything is settled.
"Mom!" A cute little voice called me causing me to came back from my reverie. I blinked my eyes multiple times and the face of a cute little girl came into my view.
"Momma are you okay? You're spacing out again." My daughter pouted her cute red lips while looking at me. I laughed softly and caressed her chubby cheeks.
"I'm okay sweetie don't mind me. Where's your comb hmm?" I asked her softly.
"Here Momma," She quickly gave me her pink comb which made me smile.
"Where did you find it?" I asked her laughing a bit.
My daughter smiled cheekily at me "It's inside my bag Momma. I've forgot that I put the comb inside my bag last night." she giggled cutely.
"My Caelliah is so very good huh?" I muttered while smiling from ear to ear.
"Of course because I'm your daughter." Caelliah my six year old daughter laughed cutely causing my heart to swell in so much happiness.
This cute little angel is sent from above. Caelliah is a bubbly child. She's so lively. She looks exactly like me but our attitude is so different from each other. We look alike but she didn't get my attitude. Caelliah is innocent like her father.
"Come here, let me comb your hair," My daughter quickly approached me, making me smile.
I gently combed her black and wavy hair. It's no wonder where did she inherited this hair. I was busy combing her hair when the door in my room suddenly opened.
I suddenly saw the emotionless face of a boy. Caelliah's laughter echoed inside my room.
"Mom! look at Tallan's face he's so grumpy." Caelliah burst out laughing while looking at her twin who was frowning while looking at our direction.
My son's eyebrows met even more as he looked at his laughing sister. I gave birth to twins. Really I didn't expect that I can bear a twins inside my tummy. All I could think about was that there was an angel in my womb. I didn't know that God gave me two angels.
These past years I admitted that being a mother excited and scared me a bit. Many questions bother me. I doubted myself if I could be a mother to my children. What if I can't be a best Mom to them? Will they hate me? I'm afraid I can't face my responsibility as a mother. Especially since my child is not just one because there are two of them.
It was not easy for me to live alone. During my pregnancy I became a cry baby. I always cry when I think of their father. I really want their father to hug me every time I suddenly cry but I know he's not here with me. Even if I wanted him to sympathize with me for carrying our children, it's not possible. He didn't even know that I was pregnant.
But I didn't regret the sacrifices I made. I endured the sadness while alone on this island. But it was all worth it when I heard my children cry. Their cries are like music to my ears. Their cute smiles and their laughter always reminded me that I've made a right decision for all of us.
But it doesn't mean that I'm not missing him. Every second in my life I've missed him so much. The urge to hug him and kiss him is so strong but sadly I can't do it. I've missed my man so much.
I was brought back to reality when someone kissed my cheek. I smiled when I saw my son seriously looking at me.
"Goodmorning Momma," He mumbled.
I touched his cheeks while looking at his serious brown eyes. He has the same eyes as his father. But Tallan eyes are serious compared to Rainer. Rainer's eyes are innocent and soft. I felt the tears starting to pool in the corner of my eyes while staring at my son. He's really Rainer's son. They look alike so much!
"Good morning too. What took you so long?" I asked
Tallan glared at her sister who is giggling beside me "I was busy finding her hairclip, because she couldn't find it. How could she find it when her room is a mess." He uttered
I looked at my daughter who pouted her lips cutely "I can't find it, I've searched it everywhere but I can't find it. That's why I asked for your help,"
"How can you find it if your room is so messy. It's like a storm passed through it."
I was watching them while they were busy arguing because of a hair clip. Even when they are still young, you can see that Tallan is a serious person, he is very different from Rainer. Tallan attitude is from me but he looks exactly like his Dad. While Caelliah's attitude is from Rainer but her face looks exactly like me.
"I'm sorry, I will just clean it when we get home from school." Caelliah's sadly said.
Tallan looked at her sister and smiled a bit "Hey Tallan is not mad. it's okay I already found your favorite hairclip," Tallan said smiling
Suddenly, Caelliah's face lit up and quickly clapped her hands when she saw her favorite hairclip.
"Wow you're really good Tallan! You're the best!" Caelliah cheered proudly.
Tallan laughed "Come here I will put this on your hair,"
Caelliah quickly approached her brother wearing her smile. Tallan quickly put the two hairclips in his sister's hair.
Caelliah jumped up and quickly hugged her twin. Tallan hugged her back. My eyes twinkle in so much happiness while looking at them. They love each other so much. Even if they always fight for a small things, the day will not end before they will greet each other again.
Tallan mindset is more mature compared to her sister. So he understands his sister more. He is not very patient with other people, but when it comes to his sister, he extends his patience.
He doesn't look like six years old when you think about it and I know very well where he inherited it from. No one else but me.
He looks like he's not six years old when you think about it and I know very well where he inherited from. No one else but me. Tallan is a serious type of Rainer. While Caelliah is a jolly type of Talliah.
