CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

"Grandma, stop it. Let's go."

His grandmother gave him a nasty look and that lasted for a few seconds until she suddenly smirked as an idea came to her mind.

"Me conoces, ¿no? Cuando no quiero, no quiero" she said seriously.

Ariella's family did not understand her because she used Spanish language. ¡Haré de su vida un infierno si no te divorcias de esa mujer! "!" she yelled.

Upon hearing this, Ariella coldly looked at them, pretending she didn't care what Madam Victoria had said. She knows that she can do everything to torture her. The first time she saw Madam Victoria's face, she knew that her standards were very high and that it was difficult for her to reach them. It's like she reached the sky, reached the moon, and got the stars, when she married Anton so many envied her that's why when they got married, they chose a simple celebration. They also became the content of newspapers and television. A lot of people criticized her so she won't be surprised if Anton's grandmother doesn't like her either.

What can she be proud of? She was not able to finish her education because her part-time jobs were not enough and even though she was a working student. She just finished 2nd year college and started looking for a job for her family. In addition to it, she doesn't know who her real mother is except that her father said that their mother left them and went with another man.

In the middle of her thoughts, she didn't realize that Madam Victoria was talking to her.

"... divorce him or 10 million?" her offer.

Upon hearing this, their eyes widened because of her offer. 10 million or divorce him? He makes her choose between Anton and the money. Who won't choose 10 million? There are many other men in the world, not just Anton. But money is not that bright for Ariella- she can't leave Anton because she is slowly falling for him. Even though she wasn't sure, she was willing to gamble even though she knew she was in the middle of failure and success.

Is she ready to leave Anton for 10 million?

"Are you still lacking? I'll add even a billion more if you ask." she asked, raising her brows but there was a smile on her lips.

When Ariella's father heard this, he frowned and gave Madam Victoria a deadly look.

"Hey! Poor old woman!" he angrily called Madam Victoria which made her shocked. Her mouth dropped open in shock when she was called an 'old woman'.

She shouted angrily, "You called me old woman? How dare you!"

"My daughter can leave your grandson! Put 10 million or even 1 billion more in your lungs! Old rich woman!"

Madam Victoria's body almost seemed to be split in two. She will not accept Ariella's father insulting her. She hated Ariella and the family she came from even more.

She can barely speak and seems oppressed based on her facial expression.

She was looking at him angrily, pointing her finger at him. "How dare you!" she exclaimed. "I will make your life a living hell! I will make you suffer!" she threatened before she left in a fit of rage. Her breath was labored and her face was wrinkled.

The bodyguards followed her and they were left in that place.

Anton was ashamed of himself and Ariella's family because of what his grandmother had said, so he offered something.

When Anton was about to help Ariella's father with the things, he rejected the offer of help even though he was willing to help. He looked at him madly and said "I don't need your help. It's better that you leave and follow your poor grandmother."

Ariella felt a needle that suddenly pierced her heart when she heard what her father said. She didn't show that she was hurt by what her father said, but instead, smiled bitterly in front of them.

"Dad, where are we going to live now? We need my their help. We can stay with them first," said her sister who had been worried about where they would live and get food now that they are homeless and they don't have enough money.

Anton agreed with what Ara said but their father immediately spoke. "No! I'd rather we live on the streets than live with them." He sighed afterwards.

Ariella looked coldly at Anton. It can be read on his face that he is sad but he tries to smile. He will do everything he can to get them back to the way they were before.

"Dad, we don't have any money."

Their father immediately said that they still had money. He reached into his pocket and found the money. He took it out expecting it to be a lot of money but when he saw it, it was only $10. That was not enough for both of them.

The reaction on his face changed when he saw the $10 he was holding. He thought he had $50 or more in his pocket but he didn't.

Ariella approached him, trying to soothe his father but he looked sharply. Because he really can't accept that Ariella disobeyed him just for Anton. No matter how many times he explained the possible events in her life, Ariella didn't seem to listen to him so he felt very angry.

"Dad, please," she begged.

He sighed deeply as he looked at his daughter, until he couldn't stand it anymore, so he forced a smile.

"Come with us," he said. They helped each other to pick up the things. They also went with them to the new house they will be moving to.

The car stopped at La Villa Hotel.

Anton and Ariella looked at each other happily. They have already discussed giving up the condominium unit they are staying in. Anton was the one who volunteered to give that condominium unit and Ariella did not force him. Ariella's intention was to find a rental house for her family, and also intended to pay using the money she saved when she was still working at Anton's company, but Anton did not agree to let her family live in a rented house. It occurred to him that what happened would happen again because he knew that his grandmother would do everything she could to make her family suffer, so he thought of giving up the condominium unit that he owned.

As soon as they stepped into the door of Anton and Ariella's condominium, they were immediately amazed by the beauty of the surroundings. The surroundings are very clean and beautiful to look at.

"It's so beautiful! Are we going to live here?" Ara asked happily and her reaction showed her excitement when she saw the elegant condominium unit.

Immediately, their father spoke, saying, "We will not live there."

"This condominium unit is for you. You will live here so you won't have any more trouble," said Anton. "Don't mind if I give you the condominium. I won't let you live in the apartment and even more I can't bear to see you sleep on the street," he added.

Although his father frowned and his pride was still high, he couldn't do anything. He just thought that it was for Ara that he would agree to let them live there.

"Let's go inside so we can stack the things," he added and led the way in. They carry the things inside.

They tour the entire unit. His father hid that he was amazed at what he saw because his pride led him. Meanwhile, Ara was very happy and very amazed because she was only now going to experience living in such a beautiful house, so she was very grateful that Anton became her sister's husband. At least the advancement of their lives will be easy.

"Wow! Is Daddy and I going to live here?" Ara asked as she looked around.

Anton answered happily, "Yes. From now on you will live here. You will not have any more difficulties."

Ara was amazed at the beautiful displays around. He was even happy to sit on the soft sofa and turn on the TV.

"This sofa is so soft," she said happily as she shook herself.

Her father scolded het. "Oh, stop. Be shy."

"You don't have to be ashamed of us. You already own this condominium unit. Tomorrow I will prepare the papers to transfer the name to you," said Anton to Ariella's father.

Even though her father didn't want to admit that he was somehow grateful despite his opposition to their marriage, he sighed before saying "Okay, fine."

"There's food in the fridge if you're hungry," Ariella said while putting away their things. They will return to the mansion now and live there.

"Lots of food?" Ara asked excitedly and before Ariella could answer, she immediately went to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator. She took the ice cream.

Ariella just laughed at what she did. Anton's reaction to her sister was the same but their father had no reaction. His pride is even higher than the coconut tree.

"Very tasty," she commented. "I won't spend any more because there are so many delicious foods in the fridge," he added, then he offered them to eat ice cream too because it was delicious.

Her father scolded her and said, "Ara, stop doing that. Be shy. They might think you're starving."

Upon hearing this, Ariella sighed deeply at what her father said.

To change the conversation, Ariella said goodbye that they were leaving. She knew that her father was no longer comfortable with them so she thought that they had to leave.

Anton took their belongings and waited for Ariella.

"You're leaving right away? Why?" asked Ara before sitting on the sofa next to their father.

When she said that, their father looked at her as if his gaze was indicating something.

"We have other things to attend to, so do we have to leave," she answered. That wasn't really her main reason why they wanted to leave. If their father had treated them well, she would have wanted to stay there with them. It had been a long time since they last bonded. She longs for that thing to happen again but she knows that it is not that easy especially now, but she will do everything to bring back their old relationship. She knew her father would not be able to tolerate her. His temper is only deep but he loves her.

Meanwhile ,Anton also said goodbye to them, but he didn't even pay attention to him or even give him a little look. He just looks straight at the television

Ariella didn't show that she was affected by his behaviors.

They said goodbye again and left.

It took half an hour before they got home. They were greeted by guards waiting for their return.

Kurt, Anton's brother, also glad for their return.

"What a surprise! I'm so happy to see you, brother and my sister-in-law," he promised and was about to hug Ariella but Anton's hand blocked so he couldn't do what he wanted .

He laughed at his brother's actions, so he said, "Oh, sorry. I'm just glad you're here."

Anton just grinned and said, "I'm the only one who can hug her. No one can come near my wife."

"Wow! What a good husband!"

Ariella suppressed her emotions and forced herself not to smile despite what Anton said. If Anton continues to motivate her, she might end up falling in love with him.

There is nothing wrong because Anton is her husband and they should just love each other. They must.
