CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX
FIXED
Even though he didn't want to leave, he chose to leave Ariella as she wanted. He can't force Ariella. He didn't want to make her angrier.
Maybe she just needs some time to think.
He was in the lobby, pacing, puzzled, thinking a lot. He didn't know what to do. He wanted to go to Ariella's room to talk and explain again to make Ariella feel better, but he himself stopped him.
While he was waiting for Ariella to come out, hoping that she would come out, his phone beeped, so he opened it to check it. On his notification bar, he saw Cindy's message.
'I am sorry, please tell her.'
He just stared at her message, thinking if he will reply or not. He can't blame her for what happened to them. He believes they did nothing wrong. There is no other meaning in what they do, he believes.
He ignored it, but after a minute, his phone beeped again, so as usual, he checked it.
'Are you all right?'
This time, he replied, saying, 'No.'
Less than half a minute later, his phone beeped again.
'Just explain everything to her. I know she will understand it.' - Cindy
'I hope so.' -Anton.
A few minutes passed and Cindy still didn't reply, so he turned off his phone.
He sat on the sofa. At this moment, he is thinking about her. An hour has passed but Ariella still hasn't come out of the room so he took a courage to go to their room to check on her. Maybe she fell asleep.
He slowly opened the door, peering at her. He saw that Ariella was already lying down, sleeping, so he entered softly and closed the door. Even his walking was slow and gentle so that Ariella wouldn't hear. Maybe Ariella will let him out again.
He stared at her for a moment. Her face was calm, looks calm, sleeping soundly. It made him smile while looking at her.
He gently lay down next to her. He was still looking at Ariella. He was happy to watch her while she slept.
It occurred to him that they hadn't even made up before she fell asleep.
"I am sorry, my wife," he whispered before kissing her on the forehead. "Goodnight," he added softly before he lay down. He leaned over and hugged Ariella.
He no longer noticed the passage of time because the speed of time seems to be in a hurry.
He woke up early. He woke up even earlier than Ariella, so he got up right away. He did not wake Ariella so as not to disturb her sleep.
He went out and went straight to the kitchen
He cooked and prepared her breakfast before taking a bath.
When he got dressed, he checked her again. She is fast asleep. He could also hear Ariella's soft snoring.
He checked the time first. A few more minutes before six o'clock in the morning.
He brought Ariella's breakfast to the room first so she wouldn't have to go downstairs to go to the dining room. He put those on the side table. He took a pen and paper to write some notes for her.
'Good morning, my wife. I prepared your breakfast before going to work. About yesterday, I am really sorry. I hope you are calm now to talk to me when I come home later.
Don't skip your meal, okay? I love you, my wife.' — Anton, your husband.
He smiled after writing those.
Before he leave, he kissed her on the forehead.
He went straight to the office.
While Ariella, she finally opened her eyes when she heard him close the door. She knew that Anton had left, so she opened her eyes.
She wasn't really asleep at that moment. When Anton woke up, she was also awake but she didn't show it. She doesn't want to talk to him until now. She needs some time, enough time to think, calm herself.
She hasn't gotten up yet. She just stared at the ceiling as the memories returned to her mind.
It took minutes before she got up and immediately noticed the food on the side table of the bed.
"He cooked?" she asked. Apart from foods, there is another thing that arouses her attention.
She read the notes.
'Good morning, my wife. I prepared your breakfast before going to work. About yesterday, I am really sorry. I hope you are calm now to talk to me when I come home later.
Don't skip your meal, okay? I love you, my wife.' — Anton, your husband.
She was unaware of the smile that suddenly formed on her lips upon reading the notes.
She folded it and put it in the book.
She ignored the food but her stomach was complaining. She was already hungry so she didn't let her pride exist anymore.
She ate until she finished the food that Anton had prepared for her. She didn't even realize that she had run out.
After eating, she vomited so that she covered hrr mouth.
"Excuse me," she said.
She immediately stood up and walked. In order to quickly digest what she ate, she must not be sitting. She didn't want to grow a belly and have a bubble.
A moment later, something occurred to her, so she took a shower and got dressed. She is going somewhere now.
She just commuted to church. There were not many people there.
She wants some peace of mind, so she goes there.
While she was there, she noticed a woman. Ahe immediately recognized the woman because of her blonde and curly hair.
"So far," she whispered while looking at her.
She didn't show it. She was sitting while using the cellphone.
"Is she talking to him?" she asked in mind.
Suddenly she stood up. She thinks she's leaving. People were just passing by so they didn't notice her.
She secretly followed the woman. She had a suspicion and she knew that suspicion was right.
She got into a taxi and followed her car.
"That's why I went to church to clear my mind and have my peace of mind, then I saw you. I didn't find peace," she whispered.
The car stopped, so they stopped too. She didn't come out first, just waited for her to come out.
She thinks she has an encounter. She noticed the place.
"La Villa Restaurant?"
After a while, she entered the restaurant.
She didn't notice that the taxi driver was slightly annoyed by the wait.
"What a waste of time, Ma'am," said the driver.
"Just wait, Sir. Don't worry, I will double my payment. Just wait," she said without looking away.
After a while, a man came and entered the restaurant.
Even if he wasn't looking at her, she knew who he was.
The feeling she didn't want to feel came back.
"Just wait, Sir. I can triple my payment.," she said to the driver.
The driver said, "Okay, Ma'am."
It took less than half an hour before the man came out of the restaurant and left. She waited for the man to leave before she decided to get off.
The woman still didn't leave the restaurant, so she took that chance.
She paid the taxi driver triple as she said earlier before she got out of the taxi and entered the restaurant.
The woman didn't notice her as she was busy on her phone, texting someone.
She sat across from her with
out realizing who she is.
When she finally noticed her, she looked up at her. When they looked at each other, Ariella smiled.
She was shocked.
"Ariella?"
