CHAPTER 53
ACCIDENTALLY
It's already five pm when Ariella woke up and realized that she had suddenly fallen asleep. She was sleepy because of the fatigue and the trip.
She got up from bed and looked for Anton but she didn't see Anton in the room even in the bathroom.
She went downstairs and called him until she saw Nanny Yel.
"Hello, Ma'am," she greeted.
"Have you seen Anton?" she directly asked.
"Oh, he's in the kitchen," she replied.
"Thanks, Nanny. Anyway, what are you doing?”
"I am cleaning these jars."
"Ahh. Okay. You can rest after your work, okay? Don't tire yourself.”
"Yes ma'am."
She went to the kitchen where Anton was. There she saw him preparing some food.
"My beautiful wife is awake," he said, making Ariella smile. "Have a seat," he added.
"You made these?" she asked, pointing to the food.
"Yes. I made some desserts. Would you like to taste it and give me some feedback?”
“Yummy, desserts, but I don't eat too many sweet foods. You know I am maintaining my weight and body.”
"Just taste a little bit. I made these just for you," he said.
"Okay, just a little."
When she tasted the first dessert that Anton made, it was so delicious that she almost closed her eyes as she savored the taste.
“It's good. Good job,” she commented, signing a thumbs up.
She tasted another dessert and like before she also enjoyed it.
“It's also good, but I don't like too much sugar. But I like it.”
Anton smiled because of this. He really waited for Ariella to wake up so she could taste the desserts he made.
He was satisfied with Ariella's feedback, so he couldn't help but smile while staring at her, which made her uncomfortable.
“Don't look at me that way,” she said.
Anton just laughed before approaching her, and held her hand.
“We have a date, remember?”
Ariella couldn't remember it anymore, but soon, she remembered that she agreed earlier.
Ariella asked. “What time?”
“Maybe around 8 o'clock tonight,” he said.
“Okay. So we still have 2 hours and 30 minutes.”
“Yeah….so,” he looked at her with a meaningful look, which she immediately understood.
He grinned. “Just 10 minutes,” he said.
Ariella couldn't help but laugh a little when he said that.
“No. It would be better if we watch a horror movie,” she said and walked first so Anton followed her.
“I don't like horror movies. It would be better if the two of us made the movie," he said while following her.
Ariella just laughed and went upstairs. Anton followed her and locked the door when they entered.
Ariella lay down and Anton lay next to her. He was hugging Ariella when suddenly his phone rang.
He ignored it and pretended not to hear.
His phone rang again so he had no choice but to get up and answer the call.
He answered it and soon ended the call.
"I am sorry, my wife. I have to go to our bar to fix some issues there. I'll be back here to pick you up as I promised," he said.
Ariella just smiled and nodded.
"Is it okay with you? Just tell me if not, so I will not go there.”
Ariella shook her head, saying, "It's okay, don't worry. I can wait. Go there and fix what you have to fix. I will wait for you.”
Anton smiled and kissed her before leaving.
"I'll be back, my wife," he said, so she nodded, then he left.
When he left, she was left alone while staring at the ceiling. It occurred to her that she had to wait for hours and it would be so boring for her.
She got up from bed and decided to go to the mall again. She wants to spend time at the mall or somewhere she won't be bored.
She immediately left.
"Driver Tan, let's go to Zy Bites, the newly opened store," she said to their new driver.
"Okay, ma'am," he replied and drove to the said store.
The store was a bit far from their house but he wasn't bored until they got there.
There were a lot of people because the store had just opened but she didn't delay. She wanted to taste their special donut, so even though there were many people, she still entered.
The store is big and there are still empty tables. There is also a VIP room with several tables where there are more special offers. There you can see their donut making live.
She talked to the manager and luckily the owner was there. She is immediately recognized by the owner, so she assists her to the VIP room.
A table was taken by a couple and they were the only ones there. Ariella's experience will be more relaxed because there are only two people there.
The staff accompanied her to the VIP room. The staff are so accommodating and kind that she is happy.
As soon as they entered the VIP room, she immediately smelled the aroma of donuts and some of their ingredients.
"Feel free to talk to us if you have some inquiries," said the girl that assists her.
"Okay," she replied before she sat down at a solo table and chair.
She ordered a box of donuts in different variations and waited in her seat.
While waiting, her attention was caught by the couple just near her.
They are a lovely couple in her eyes not until she recognizes them.
She was shocked and couldn't take her eyes off them.
Later on, the girl turned her gaze to her. She was also shocked to see her.
She turned her gaze away and whispered, "What are they doing here?"
She kept glancing at them, especially at her, until she approached her.
She borrowed a seat and sat in front of her.
She got confused, shocked, and also got irritated.
“What a surprise,” she said.
“Yeah. It was a surprise to see both of us here, but….where is Anton?”
"You're still really looking for him even though you're with your fiance," said Ariella, which made her chuckle a little.
"No. I am just wondering why you are not with him. Is he losing time with you too?" she asked which irritated her even more but she didn't show it. It was as if her words were reaching something.
"It's none of your business, Cindy. Why don't you just focus on your fiance, and not looking for my husband," she said without taking her eyes off her. If they look at each other they are like chickens about to fight.
"Well...it's even better that I go back to my fiance. Because the feeling is better when you are with the man you love, than to eat alone."
She left and went back to her seat, while Ariella couldn't help but become irritated with her. She lost her appetite and it ruined her mood.
"Such a bitch," she whispered.
"What is it, Ma'am?" the staff asked.
"Nothing," she said.
She just focused her attention on the food, but no matter how much she tried to control herself, she couldn't help but look at them, especially Cindy.
She fastened because her head will get hotter if ahe stays there any longer.
She only ate a macha mini donuts and left. She takes out the food because she intends to give it to Driver Tan and Nanny Yel.
She got out of the store and went straight to the car.
The driver noticed that her face was frowning.
"Are you okay, Ma'am?" he asked.
“Don't mind me, Driver Tan. Oh, here's the donut package. I just ate one. Share it with Nanny Yel,” she replied.
"Thanks, Ma'am. We will eat it together later.”
They returned home and went straight to the bedroom to have some rest and peace of mind.
She tried to let go of those things because she didn't want to spoil her mood later on her date with Anton. Maybe when she remembers Cindy's face again, her mood might suddenly change while they are together.
She looked at her phone and saw the time.
It's only half an hour before eight o'clock in the evening.
She hurriedly went to the bathroom to take a bath because Anton was coming. She wanted to be ready before Anton even arrived.
When she finished bathing, she checked the time again. It's only 15 minutes before 8 o'clock.
She was so restless again. She immediately got dressed and put on her heels and some make-up on her face.
When she's already ready, she just waits for him to come home.
A couple of minutes later, she heard a knock, so she immediately opened it and saw him standing at the doorway.
"I'm home," he said, so she smiled.
"I'm ready," she replied with a smile on her face.
Anton smiled too and held her hand and they went down together.
"Nanny, we're leaving first. You will take care of this," he said to Nanny Yel who is busy cleaning the table.
"Yes, Sir. Take care," she replied.
