Going back
Going back
"I will be back after our meeting, okay?" he said before kissing her on the forehead.
“Take your time. I won't be bored here because Nanny Yel is with me," Ariella replied.
"I will be back. I will inform you when our meeting is over, okay? When I come back, you must be dressed."
"For what?"
"We are going somewhere. We will have a date. Oh, I'm leaving.”
He kissed her on the lips before he left hurriedly.
Ariella was left alone in the lobby, lying on the sofa while watching a romantic movie.
After a couple of minutes, Nanny Yel came with a snack, popcorn, and juice.
"It's boring to watch a movie without snacks," she said before she put the tray on the table.
"Oh, thanks a lot, Nanny. Why don't you join me?"
She shook her head, saying, “I am sorry, Ma'am. I have a lot of works to do.”
Ariella just nodded her head, saying, "Ahhh." while thinking of something. "Ahh! Let those tasks go first. Come with me to watch a horror movie," she said when something came to her mind.
“Uhmm….is this a horror movie? But I guess it's not a horror but something romantic.”
"Yeah, but I will replace that with a horror one. So...is it okay? Don't worry about the household work, I will help you do those.”
Nanny Yel is still thinking whether she will agree or not because she still has a lot to do, but Ariella is also her boss so she has to obey her.
Soon, she agreed and sat on the other sofa.
Right from the start of the show, they were almost nervous, so Ariella said she sat next to her so she wouldn't be so scared.
Ariella kept shouting and being surprised every time the movie was in an intense scene, while Nanny Yel was quiet as if she was just watching a true-to-life story.
"Ahhh! Sh*t!” Ariella shouted out of fear and shock. Nanny Yel only looked at her because of her reactions in every scene of the movie.
The movie ended with herl voice almost hoarse from the shouting.
"That's so scary," she commented when the movie ended. "I am so scared," she added before she drank the juice.
"It's obvious." Nanny Yel said.
"Uhmm, why didn't you seem scared at all in the movie?" she asked. She noticed that Nanny Yel had no reaction at all while they were watching. She even thought that Nanny Yel had closed her eyes and didn't want to watch.
"Those things are not real, just a movie," she said.
Ariella was about to speak when her phone suddenly rang, so she immediately answered it and saw the name 'Honey bunch' on the screen, calling.
She answered it and said "Hello."
"I'm coming home. Are you ready?"
She was suddenly confused by what he said. She didn't expect that their meeting was so quick and that Anton was going home right away. She hasn't even taken a shower yet.
She immediately went upstairs to take a bath.
She showered so quickly that she almost didn't know what to do first.
When she finished taking a shower, she immediately got dressed, but she couldn't choose the right clothes to wear.
She was so restless.
Clothes were scattered on the bed as she was choosing a nice outfit but she could hardly choose anything.
"That will suit you," he said, so she stopped as she held a white floral above the knee corset dress.
She turned to the speaker behind her, and saw him standing at the doorway.
"It's….too…early," she said intermittently.
……………………..
“Okay. Go downstairs first, I will follow.”
“Just make sure you won't go back to bed again if you don't want to be late in school,” she said and was about to leave when Ara said something.
“Why do you know that song?” she asked that made her stop but she didn't look back.
It took a minute before she could answer. “That song is so common to every mothers just like me.”
Although Ara was still wondering, she didn't ask any more questions until Nanny Yel left the room. She got down and went to the kitchen.
"Good morning," she greeted.
"Good morning," they greeted.
"Have a seat, Ara. Join us," said Anton.
"It's good you wake up," Ariella commented. "Don't sleep too much, Ara. Being late will affect your performance in school," she added.
"She's always late," said their father.
"I am not late and it won't affect my grades," she insisted before she ate.
"Just focus on your goal, Ara. And….no boyfriend.” Ariella said and glanced at her for a moment.
"Of course," Ara said.
Their conversation did not continue until they had all finished eating.
They were going home now so they all got into the car with Anton driving.
It only took 15 minutes before they reached the building. They also returned to the house after they had delivered Ara and his Dad to their condominium unit.
They rested for a while on the sofa. Ariella still has some things to take care of while Anton is off work today.
A few moments later, Anton's phone rang. He took it and sit beside her..
Ariella noticed it and remembered that Anton always walks away whenever he's talking to someone on the phone. Now she's a little bit confused and shocked that Anton is by her side even though he answered the call.
"Hello," Anton said to the person on the other line.
"Good morning, Sir Anton. I am sorry to call at this hour, but we have an urgent meeting today. Can you come?”
He looked at Ariella first. Ariella heard that because Anton turned on the loudspeaker so she could really hear who he was talking to.
Ariella signaled him to go.
"Yes, it's okay. Just wait for me there," he said.
"Okay, sir."
He ended the call and looked back at Ariella as if he wanted to say something.
Ariella frowned. "Don't look at me that way. I won't stop you. It's important," she said.
Anton smiled while looking at her, which made her uncomfortable.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"Just staring at my beautiful wife," he answered with a sweet smile on his lips.
Although it made her smile, she still frowned.
"Go to the shower now. You have an urgent meeting and they're are waiting for you," she said and pushed him to go.
"Okay, my wife."
He left and went upstairs to take a bath, while Ariella was left alone in the lobby.
She's lying on the sofa with her mind clear. Now she can rest without thinking of so many things. Although they are coming back to her mind sometimes, she's okay with it now. She just have
