CHAPTER EIGHT
The man who called Cindy love approached her with a sweet smile on his face.
The word love stuck in Anton's mind upon hearing it. It is their endearment before.
The moment he first called Cindy love came back to his mind. The moment he was kissing her head and calling her love. The moment he was making jokes just to make her laugh….
Those memories….
Now he has an idea who the man was in Cindy's life. Is that the reason why they met today?...
Discarding his thoughts again, he turned his gaze to the two of them. It suddenly occurred to him that he should be with her now and not another man. If everything hadn't ended with them, it would have been okay and their relationship would have continued. If he had focused on their relationship and not on his company, she would not have chosen to walk away and end their relationship.
But what else can he do? She loves someone new now and not him anymore. He has to accept the fact that they ended a year ago and he was married to someone new.
Why is he affected?...
Trying to show her that he is okay and that losing her doesn't seem like a big deal to him, he pretended to act like he is fully recovered.
"He is Anton, Clint," Cindy introduced the man which he didn't expect.
Clint Eastwood is the CEO of C.C. Incorporation, one of the famous incorporations in Moscow. He was the business owner of three famous private Inns and four international restaurants. He was also the manager of Bitcoin trading.
He also built Eastwood Private Hospital last year and rebuilt the foundation for charity work.
He was engaged to Cindy, and their marriage will be announced soon…
"Anton, he is Clint, Clint Eastwood, my fianceé," she said proudly.
Fianceé…
Fiancée…
It was stuck in his mind and echoed in his ears causing him not to say a word or even blink his enchanting gloomy eyes.
He didn't even notice that they are staring at him.
'Anton, he is Clint, Clint Eastwood, my fianceé.'
The words kept resonating in his ears as he was stunned.
"Anton?" Cindy called him twice in a weak tone of voice. It took a few more seconds before Anton came back to his senses.
He blinked twice and turned his gaze to them. He's been thinking about her these days. Did he just miss her?...
He realized he was stunned for a moment by the thoughts in his mind.
Coldly looking at them, he finally says, "I'm leaving, Cindy." Then, after turning his gaze to Cindy, he turned his gaze to Clint.
Cindy was about to speak but Anton didn't give her a chance to speak when he left.
Standing outside his bar, the rain started to fall on the ground.
Memories flashback in his mind.
It reminded him how Ariella and Anton met on that rainy night.

Sitting alone and deep in thought, thinking every penny he counts cannot match the happiness he seeks even though he comes back to this bar, again and again, he still doesn't feel like he is having fun.
Looking at the people around him, enjoying, dancing, and drinking, a woman with black straight hair approached him, holding a glass of wine, she offered, "Have some drinks."
He glanced at the woman who was smiling at him. He gave her a meaningful look and didn't say a word, instead, he leave when he felt a warm hand on his arm.
There he looked.
Staring at the woman's red long nails, he noticed the diamond ring the woman was wearing.
Thinking that the woman was married but why is she still entertaining other men?
The woman flashed him with her seducing looks, she seductively says, "You want some drinks?" Then, her soft hand touched him, seducing him.
He glanced up. "I don't drink," he answered sparingly and voluntarily removed her hand that was clinging to his arm.
He went outside and stood there. He often goes thereafter he takes care of the company. If there's anything else he goes to so he can have fun and rest, maybe it's at the rooftop, La Villa Wang's Company.
Thinking too deeply to avoid things that might come back to his mind, he didn't notice that it was raining heavily. As he was stunned into nothingness while standing outside the bar, he didn't even notice the heavy pouring rain.
He was about to enter the bar again when he saw a woman walking alone. She didn't seem to care about the cold. It's like she's thinking deeply about something, which is why she walks even when it's raining.
Because of curiosity, she called her gently and waved his hand for her to notice him somehow, but the girl didn't pay attention to him.
After a while, the rain subsided.
Looking straight at her, he walked closer to her to offer her an umbrella.
Opening the umbrella to give to her, he says, "You're walking though it's raining." Staring at her as if examining her, he noticed her disfigured face. At an unexpected moment, he could notice the sadness in her eyes.
'What happened to her? Why she's walking in the rain? Is she broken-hearted?' he thoughts.
Soon, she glanced at him for a moment and looked down again, and continues walking.
"...and you're wet," he added, looking down at her clothes.
Her body shivered in cold. It's like she takes a bath in the rain.
'Is she crying?' he asked in mind.
She's walking alone, and it seems like we're in the same situation of life.
He looked down at her rain-soaked body and also noticed that her body was shaking from the cold and he could feel that she was fighting it.
"You're shaking," he commented again.
"It's okay," she replied sparingly and continued walking. He followed her.
It's raining again that's why he gave her my umbrella. She didn't hesitate to take it.
"How about you? It's raining," she said gently but her voice cracked.
Smiling at her, he took another umbrella for himself, he says, "I have another one here, girl." Then, opened the umbrella.
She didn't say anything after he took out another umbrella. Suddenly she was quiet again. Questions wrapped her mind as she walks. She was feeling helpless, unloved, and worthless.
She shouldn't feel that way…
They walked until she stopped at the waiting shed. Anton didn't realize that his feet led him to wait shed as well.
Standing and waiting for the bus, there was little space between the two of them.
Silence surrounded the place and the heavy rains could only be heard.
What happened to her? He kept asking in his mind.
