CHAPTER 100

"Why is it taking so long? She hadn't woken up before. Usually, those who faint wake up quickly, don’t they?”

My forehead frowned when I heard those loud noises that made my head hurt so much. Annoyed, I opened my eyes only to see Maxim beside me, her voice was loud so I was irritated. What the hell!

"Can you shut the fuck up?" I cut her off from what she's going to say.

She looked at me quickly as her eyes widened and I also saw Aunt Criselda approaching me quickly.

“Oh my god, Rae! You're awake!” Maxim said and hugged me so I pushed her immediately and stared at her.

“You're too loud, Max. What happened?” Irritably, I told Maxim with a frown.

“You suddenly passed out, hija. How are you feeling?” Aunt Criselda asked me worriedly.

"Lumiere, how are you feeling?"

I looked at the man in front of me now and I suddenly feel uncomfortable and irritated when I saw him. I tried to stop myself from biting or shouting at him but I failed when I started to remove his grip on me.

“Get off me. I don't want to see you. Why are you here?” Disgusted, I told him that he was obviously shocked.

Even Maxim and Aunt Criselda were surprised by what I did. Even me because this is the first time I'm so disgusted with him now and I don't know why!

“But, Lumiere—”

“I told you to leave me alone! I don't wanna see you!” I shout at him.

I saw the tension in his jaw. I just stared at him and looked in the other direction.

“I’m fine, Auntie. I just have a headache,” I lazily told Aunt Criselda who was still by my side.

“I called a private doctor and he’s on his way, so don’t worry. You still need to be seen.”

"Which of the following doesn't want to see you that you don't understand?" I said to him, cutting him off.

His forehead furrowed as he looked at me and his face began to blush.

“I think, we should go now, Auntie. We might feel Rae's warmth,” Maxim said and still laughed so I looked at her badly.

She just frowned so I turned back to Levi.

“What’s wrong? I was just worried about you— ”

“You don’t need to! After you didn’t speak to me for almost one fucking week, you'll act as nothing happened?”

I'm starting to get annoyed with him again and I feel like I can belittle him now. I feel like I don’t like his every move now. Even his presence!

“Then, I’m sorry. Let’s talk about this later. What is wrong with you? I'm here cause I'm so worried about you and here you are now, shouting at me and telling me to get out because you don't want to see me? Oh, come on, Lumiere. Don’t deprive me of the right to worry for you!” He told me irritably.

I quickly sat up and looked at him badly.

“Why are you saying so much? I just want you to get out because I hate you! Is it hard to do that?!" I shouted at him.

“Rae, calm down,” Aunt Criselda said to me softly.

My eyes are burning. My tears started to fall. My chest is aching and my fucking head, too. I feel like I'm really mad at him now so I'm crying with so much annoyance because he doesn't want to do what I want. I just want him to get out of my sight because the fire of my anger towards him is burning because of what he is doing.

Was it hard to do?!

“Fuck it! Why are you crying?" He shouted out of frustration so I cried even more.

He was about to approach me so I immediately tapped his hand. “D-don’t touch me! I really don't want to see you!”

"Auntie, I think you and Levi should really go," I heard Maxim say.

When I looked at him, I stared at him and was annoyed wiping my tears. The heat really warms my blood to him now and I think, I will just calm down when he’s gone.

“Rae hija, you should calm down first. I will wait for the doctor outside,” Aunt Criselda told me calmly.

I saw in my peripheral vision that he was looking deeply at me while frowning. I even heard that he cussed multiple times then came out with his mom. I heaved a sigh and just lie down again.

"What's your problem?" Maxim asked.

I just rolled my eyes then I looked at the ceiling.

“I don’t know. I just suddenly felt irritation when I saw him,” I told her lazily.

“You fainted seeing him earlier. Maybe it's because you're so stressed out with him. I can't blame you for what you're doing now. He should just have that,” she said while laughing.

“Let’s not talk about him, Max. I’m kinda feeling dizzy.”

She just laughed at me so I was even more bored.

Maxim and I waited for almost two hours when Aunt Criselda came in again. Fortunately, Levi is gone. Aunt Criselda still had food so I was immediately hungry but when I saw that it wasn't what I wanted to eat, I just frowned.

“Is there no one else, Max? I don't like it,” I whispered to Maxim.

"I thought that's your favorite, Rae, so that's what I cooked," Aunt Criselda said.

"I'm sorry, Auntie, but I don't like it," I replied shyly.

"Alright, I will cook something else for you," she said so I just nodded.

“Thank you, Auntie. I’m sorry— ”

Before I could continue what I was about to say, the door suddenly opened and a male doctor and Uncle Saldy spat out.

"Doc," Auntie greeted him.

“How are you, Astraea? Are you still dizzy?” He asked me.

“It’s just a little, doc, but I’m fine. Maybe there is no other reason?” I asked him.

He suddenly smiled at me from ear to ear and handed me a white stick so I frowned.

"Doc..."

“Just try it first, Rae. If the result is okay, then you’re really fine. We just need to know every possibility,” he told me with a smile.

I looked at Maxim and the couple. She just smiled as the couple smiled broadly at me.

What? I'm not pregnant! Impossible because I already had it last month. I haven't gotten it for this month though...

“But, I'm not—”

"Try it, Rae," Maxim said while grinning so I stared at her.

I could do nothing when she pulled me towards the bathroom of this room.

My chest started throbbing again when I started that test procedure.

When I finished, my whole body was shaking as I sat in the bowl. I just stared at the pregnancy test I was holding, waiting for the result.

After 5 minutes, I felt my heart pounding even more when I saw the result. Fuck! Is this really true?!

“Rae, what is it? Have you slept there yet?” I heard Maxim shout outside.

“W-wait! I-I'm coming out.”

I can feel my whole body is trembling. I felt dizzy again when I stood up so I calmed myself first. I slowly came out of the bathroom and looked straight at the doctor who was also waiting.

“What happened? Can I see?" He asked me.

I no longer hesitated to give him the pregnancy test. Maxim and the couple immediately clung to him to see the result.

"Oh my god!" Maxim hissed and immediately rushed to hug me.

“I’m so happy for you! That's why you're so irritated now! Shit! I can't believe it!”

I immediately separated from her and Aunt Criselda and Uncle Saldy approached me.

“Congratulations, Rae. Levi would be so happy once he finds out,” she said with a smile and hugged me.

“Congratulations, Rae. I told you. You need to tell this to your husband so that you can check with the Ob-gyne immediately. I'll go ahead. You need a rest,” he said then he went on his way with Uncle Saldy.

I sat up in bed with my whole face covered as my tears kept falling.

Fuck! There's a baby inside my stomach. Again.

I grabbed my stomach then smiled.

“My second…” I whispered.
