CHAPTER 85

My heart raised when I felt Noah’s grip tightened while I was looking at Levi and Anne. I bit my lower lip when I simply withdrew my hand from him from under the water. When I finally recovered that, I was ready to go up.

As soon as I got close to Levi, he hurriedly took off his coat and hugged me immediately. I saw Anne's gaze following there so I stared at her.

"Why are you just wearing that?" he asked me so I turned to look at him.

My forehead furrowed.

"Huh?"

"Your bra is showing just so you know," he told me sideways so I immediately looked at myself.

I was shocked in my mind when I remembered that I was wearing a see-through dress and as soon as I read it, it was obvious that I was wearing it inside. I immediately put Levi's coat on me and passed him there. He immediately followed me with this Anne. Noah followed too so I just kept quiet as I walked.

“Where’s Asteria?” I heard Levi asked me.

I didn't look at him. Instead, I walked straight away from that place.

“She’s with Avery. She took her to their house,” I replied lazily.

Then I heard nothing but the footsteps of each of us on the dry leaves on the path. I sighed violently when I heard Anne's voice, she was asking something on Levi. I was ahead of the three of them. From time to time, Levi grabs my hand but I also immediately let go of him whenever he talk to this woman.

“How’s the water? Good, is not it?" Noah suddenly asked me as he appeared beside me.

I just looked at him for a moment and nodded. The water is really good. Clear and pretty warm. Even though that part of the creek was shady, I didn’t know why the water was a bit warm there. Maybe that's just the way it is.

“Ah — yes, it's really good,” I replied hesitantly.

I heard him laugh so I looked up at him. The heat was already hitting his smooth skin so I frowned because I was the one who was hurting for his skin.

“If you have free time, do you want to go back there? Take your daughter with you— ”

“She’s not available anytime. Back off,” Levi interrupted as he suddenly pushed Noah away from me.

I stopped walking because of what he did. He almost fell because of his pushing. When I looked at Levi, my forehead furrowed when I saw the intense anger in him.

"What is your problem?" I couldn't help but ask him when he turned to look at me.

Its forehead furrowed even more.

"What?" He was annoyed with me so I was even more surprised by what he was doing.

“What’s wrong with you? You just pushed Noah—”

"I told him to back off but he didn't, and I also told you not to listen to him but you didn't either," he told me emphatically and suddenly held my hand tightly.

"Let's go," he added and pulled me away from them so I couldn't speak.

When we got to the town house, he just let me go. I felt like he wouldn't be able to talk to me so I went straight up to our room and started tidying up myself.

I wanted to think about what was going on between him and Anne but what Noah said caught my attention too much — that Levi impregnated his ex-girlfriend before. If that is true, where is his child in the woman it refers to? Why didn't he tell me about it? Why hiding a secret like this? It’s not just a typical secret. This is somewhat horrifying. I fucking admit it.

I lazily went to the bathroom and looked at myself there. I look wasted. My wet hair is messy. The bralette I was wearing and my shorts were scratched. My face is also red maybe because of the heat.

I stared at myself in the mirror for a moment. I still don’t understand what’s going on.

I took off my see-through dress and turned on the water in the bath tub to fill it up. I was about to take off my shorts and bralette when the door suddenly opened so I quickly looked at the culprit.

Levi's angry expression greeted me so I just avoided looking at him. Instead of undressing, I let myself sink into the tub wearing it.

"What did Noah tell you?" he immediately asked me with mixed threats.

“What did you and Anne do? Where did you go? Why are you always together?” I asked him as well instead of answering his question.

He didn't answer so I looked at him. I could clearly see the intense tingling in his eyes. I could see the astonishment in his eyes. Where does that come from?

"What?" He uttered.

“I was looking for you. Ria and I were looking for you until Avery picked her up earlier so I just looked for you. Why are you always with that woman? Did I think it was our vacation?” I told him directly.

The second time, he still didn’t answer so I laughed.

“I didn’t know you had a lot of woman here. Is that woman your ex too?”

“She’s not. What are you talking about? What did Noah say to you and you're acting ike that?” Full of irritation he told me so I felt irritated with him too.

My lower lip almost bled when I bit it because of the pressure. I don’t know why he doesn’t get me. It's easy to know why I'm like this. Why did he insist on including Noah in the conversation?

"He is not part of this so stop mentioning his name here. I’m talking about Anne, what’s your real score with her? Why are you always together instead of taking care of us here?” I almost yelled at him.

I saw the pain in his eyes as he looked at me. He was about to take a step towards me so I immediately raised my hand.

"Don't you dare," I told him emphatically.

“She’s just a friend, Rae, my god! We only took care of work that's why we are always together. I thought you’re okay with her?” Full of pleading he asked me.

I bent down and immersed myself deeper in the water. He can only see my head. I never spoke again. He tried to reach me but I did not agree.

“Let’s just talk later. Get out,” I finally told him and didn't say a thing again anymore.

When he felt that maybe I am not going to talk to him anymore, it came out completely. I sighed violently and even submerged my head under the water.

I don’t know what’s happening anymore.

When I finished taking a bath, I went out immediately. I felt that my mind and heart were calm and ready to talk so I walked to find Levi. It wasn't long before I saw him standing on the edge of the palm tree there so I smiled. I took a walk just to get close to him right away but my smile suddenly fades away when I saw him talking to Anne again — the demon was still smiling slightly while saying something.

I tried to calm myself while slowly walking towards them. I can’t see if Levi was also smiling while talking to Anne because he turned his back in my direction. Some time later, before I could get close to them, Anne turned to look at me and that smile quickly disappeared from her lips as she quickly turned away from Levi and walked away.

"What's that?" I asked him as soon as I could get close to him.

I didn't bother to look at him and I just kept looking away at Anne.

"She was just asking some directions," I heard him say so I smiled.

"Really?" I sarcastically said to him and repeatedly nodded at him.

“It’s nothing. Are you alright Can we talk?” When he changed the tone of the question to me, he even held my arm which I simply removed.

“I am fine. Let’s go,” I told him coldly and preceded him to walk while I was completely stunned by the absence.

Just asking some directions, huh. Then why do they both seem to be smiling? Is it necessary to smile when someone asks? Also, why would she ask for directions, she is often here. That's what she told me when we talked last time.

Until we got to the restaurant, I was silent. I just went straight to the buffet table and picked up the food I wanted to eat before heading to the table where Maxim and Celine were. This includes their boyfriends.

I almost sat down next to Maxim and ate quietly while I heard them all whispering except me and Levi.

“Hey, you can sit here. That’s Benj’s place,” he said softly to me so I turned around again.

“There are more seats, Levi. He can sit anywhere. I will not take your cousin away from him,” I told him with a blank expression and then stared again.

I could still feel Maxim pushing me next to me but I ignored her and just resumed eating while my spoon and fork sounded loudly on my plate.

"C'mon, stop that," he said to me again so I looked up at him.

“What? I’m fucking eating. Stop bothering me,” I said nothing to myself and glared at him again.

Before I could turn back to my food, I heard the faint laughter of Celine and her boyfriend so I looked at them that made them stop. Disgusted, I turned to my food and decided to eat again.

“Rae, you are making loud noises because of your spoon and fork. What is wrong with you?” Maxim hysterically scolded me so I looked at her badly.

"I will stab this to you if you interfere with me, Max," I told her emphatically and glared at her selflessly.

I was so annoyed that I got up and left them there.

My head almost exploded in extreme annoyance as I walked out of the restaurant. Levi lied to me. I just can't take it. My mind couldn't take it. I feel like I could just suddenly kill whoever would add to my annoyance because of the extreme irritation. Hopefully that Anne will meet me so I can finally I end her life.

None of myself walked while just watching my feet sink into the sand every step I took. I wouldn’t mind if Levi won’t follow me here and tell me the fucking truth. I don't mind that. I just need to clean my mind. I need to clean my head before I can affect the people around me especially my daughter because of the heat of my head.

It was already a long walk when I suddenly bumped into someone’s chest. When I looked at that person, my smile automatically widened when I saw Noah. He also seemed to know that I was the one who hit him because that crazy smile of his was already there.

“It's getting dark for you to walk here alone. Where are you going?” he mockingly questioned me before accompanying me on a walk to somewhere.

We just stopped beside the palm tree with a hammock in the middle so I sat down.

“I have to ask you that. What are you doing here? Levi might see you again here,” I told him with a laugh.

He just shook his head and leaned on the palm tree to my left then looked at me intently.

“Let him be. I'm not doing anything wrong, am I?” he asked me.

"Of course. I'm sorry for what happened earlier,” I replied to him.

Somehow, I suddenly forgot about what happened earlier. I also felt the gradual calming of my mood not until Levi suddenly approached us so I immediately stood up on the cradle where I was sitting. I suddenly feel guilty when I saw his eyes looking at me intently and I feel like I was caught cheating. What the fuck?

Before I could speak, his expression went blank and he turned to Noah. He faked a smile, "You're here again."

“Relax, Lev. Astraea is not my intention here," Noah said to him and fistbombed.

"Just make sure. I know you,” Levi coldly said to him.

I don’t know if they were both just plasticizing while talking because I could clearly see the tension building up between them especially with Levi. I'm starting to get nervous because Levi will suddenly fill up and make more trouble.

I simply approached Levi's side while trying to reach his hand but he pushed it away. My whole face is getting hot because I feel ashamed of myself and also because of the irritation that is building up inside me again.

“I’ll take her inside. Stop talking to her, Noah. She is not like the women in your mind,” I heard Levi say to Noah so I looked at them both.

I saw Noah frown as he looked at me. It didn't take long before he smiled and nodded.

"She's really not, obviously," Noah uttered and the next thing I knew, Levi was dragging me back to the town house.

“What are you two talking about? Why do you both smile every time I see you?” He initially asked me as I felt his grip tighten on my hand.

He's mad.

“Nothing. We just bumped to each other—”

“You suddenly left me there just to have some chitchats with that fucktard?” He was so angry with me that I was shocked.

Until we got to the room, he was still swearing. I couldn’t even respond to what he was saying because we might both explode with extreme irritation.

Lazy, I sat on the bed and looked up at him. “We just bumped into each other, Levi. What makes you angry there? He’s your friend, isn’t he?” I calmly told him even though I really wanted to shout.

He quickly turned to me. His jaw tightened as his hands clenched in anger. He can beat someone's ass if they try to piss him more, I'm telling you!

“You can just turn your back on him and get me back there instead of staying with him on that fucking palm tree! I bet, you also like to talk to him! I can see that!”

My eyes widened because of what he said. His voice is rising and if our room wasn't soundproof, his scream would be heard outside.

“He’s just being friendly to me. Why do you look so scared?”

“That was nothing to do with you, anymore! You don't have to listen to that anymore! You know how I hate you seeing with another guy but you still do! I can't believe you!”

That's it. He just shouted and I almost deafened by that. I suddenly remembered what they had talked about with Anne recently so I laughed sarcastically. I almost stood up and pushed him because he was blocking my path. My footsteps towards the door were heavy even my breathing. Before I could get out, his shout rang out again.

“Where are you going? To that Noah again?”

I finally looked at him. I could almost feel the extreme heat in the corners of my eyes because of the irritation with him. Damn it!

“I need to go outside because I might be deaf to your screaming here. You are crazy, Levi. Did I say something when I saw you talking to Anne earlier? You told me that she was just asking some directions, right? How come? She told me she's been here almost of the time because she's the architect of your family. Haven't you been informed?!” I burst out to him that made him look at the other direction.

“Fuck it! You can be with her as long as you want, okay? I trust you, yes but you should not lie to me, Acuzar. You have known me for a long time and I know you still know that I don't like liars,” I finally told him and slammed the door after I left.

This feelings makes me fucking sick!
