CHAPTER 95
“The case of Noah Alegre has been filed today, Levi. What else do you want to do? We are just waiting for an arrest warrant for him to be permanently detained,” I heard Attorney Alexander say to him.
I looked up at the two of them who were currently talking. His Mom and Dad left first because it was forbidden for Uncle Saldy to be too tired. I just don’t know why we even stayed here.
"I just want to ask, Lex, is it possible for him to counter this again as he did before?" Levi asked him. I kept looking at him.
When he told me what Noah had done to him, then I could hardly imagine it, but when I remembered the expression again and what he said to me that night it was more acceptable. I don’t know if what it said about her ex-fiancé is true. Maybe he just fabricated it to justify the sin he committed to me and to Levi. But if there is no deep reason, why does it want to kill the latter?
I didn't even listen to their conversation because I went out when I felt hungry. As soon as I came out, Yerim met me and immediately hugged me.
“Oh my god, Rae! I heard what happened to you. Levi told me. How are you?" She asked me in an overreacted way so I laughed.
She’s still not really changing. We rarely meet because she said goodbye and said she would just return to Korea to live there for good. So I was surprised that she was here again. Rafaella, on the other hand, rarely feels better because she is still having problems with her brother's treatment. I want to help her but I really can't help it yet.
“I’m fine, Ye. The case against Noah has been filed and we are just waiting for an arrest warrant,” I told her as we crossed the road.
“That man’s an asshole, isn’t it? Are you sure you're okay? What about Levi? Good thing your man wasn't killed?” She kept asking questions.
I just scratched my head and then looked at her for a while.
"Noah is in the hospital now, his face is broken," I told her. She looked at me quickly and soon her eyes widened.
She even laughed before we finally entered the coffee shop in front of Narvaza’s Law Firm building. I almost cried when I saw Rafa sitting in front of me at the end so I looked at Yerim.
"Surprise," she told me with a smile.
My smile widened even more because that's when Rafa quickly approached. When she saw us, she immediately stood up and hugged me.
“Oh my god, Astraea. I missed you!” She hissed and just hugged me tightly.
When it left me, it looked at me from head to toe. "That fucking Noah. That man will be ready for me when I see him," she threatened seriously so I almost laughed.
"Girl, there's no need. Levi already broke his face!" Yerim's happy answer to her so I was completely shaken.
After we ordered, we started to have fun. I just listened to the two of them as they talked about what had happened to them in recent months.
"Please tell your soon-to-be husband that I am very indebted to him," Rafa said suddenly so I looked at her.
"Huh? Why?" I asked her then I sipped on my coffee.
Her eyes twinkled and that smile disappeared from her lips, instead of being replaced by a serious but happy expression.
"Because he recommended the hospital to me to take Martina there, so I followed his advice because he said it was good there. I almost wanted to back out because it was so expensive, but the nurse said that Levi had already paid for everything and that we were free of charge," she explained to me so my eyes almost widened.
"Really?" I couldn't believe I asked her that she just nodded over and over.
"Eh, where is that so I'll just take myself in case of emergency. Maybe I'm free of charge too," Yerim joked.
"In Stonefield, it's just near here," this answer makes me nod even Yerim.
"That's why it's free," Yerim uttered then sipped on her coffee.
"It's owned by the Acuzars," I told her.
Rafa's jaw dropped when she heard what I said. Even when I first found out that, I also couldn’t believe it because the company he runs now is different, why does he have a hospital? By the way, it was named after Aunt Criselda.
"Awful! Poverty has hit me even harder. Your soon-to-be-husband is indeed a billionaire," exclaimed Yerim who seemed jealous so I slapped her on the arm.
"Speaking of the devil... the young billionaire of the Acuzar clan is here," Rafa muttered while looking at my back so I turned around.
I bit my lower lip as I stared at Levi who came in so cool, it seemed like he was still slo-mo in my sight. That even if he was just wearing a simple outfit, he really carries it well.
"When will I be able to find such a husband," I heard Yerim say so we laughed at the same time.
When Levi approached us, he immediately kissed me on the forehead, and next, I heard Yerim sneeze.
"Really? In front of my caramel macchiato?" She asked so we laughed again.
"I've been looking for you for a while. You didn't say goodbye," he whispered to me so I winced.
I made it sit next to me and Yerim moved next to Rafa who was just staring at the two of us so I felt detached.
"I got hungry," I explained to her.
"Hello! We're here. We're in front of you," Yerim whispered again so we both turned to them. I just shook my head.
I somehow missed the two of them.
