Awakened
Alpha Liam
My patience is tethering close to the edge, like a rubber band seconds from snapping in half. I’m not sure how anyone could manage not to lose their wolf after being unable to shift for so many years. The pain alone that would be inflicted on the wolf is unbearable to even consider. Her wolf must be strong, but that sort of strength doesn’t exist in an omega bloodline, which is what makes this whole thing so difficult to wrap my mind around.
“You’re not going anywhere,” I finally declare in a chilling snarl. Her eyes go wide, but she’s putting forward a tough front by crossing her arms across her chest, one I’m not used to seeing from her. But, it is one that intrigues both me and my wolf. “I have nothing to offer the pack.” My mind reels, and I’m certain that’s probably why she left her pack in the first place. It’s probably why her piece of shit Alpha didn’t notice she was gone. To him, she was just another omega. Easily replaceable.
“You have plenty. Your rank here doesn’t matter. It’s too dangerous to live a life of a rogue. I’m not going to allow you to get yourself killed,” I state, desperately trying to comfort my little mate and show her some reason through this madness.
“Too dangerous? I was a rogue once and I survived. I can be a rogue again. I can fend for myself, Alpha,” she insists, but the pained look in her eyes tells me otherwise. My heart stammers in my chest knowing she’s humiliated that I forced her to admit how long her wolf has been suppressed. The words linger on the tip of my tongue, if I could only tell her she’s my mate. I know then she’d understand why I can’t let her leave, why I selfishlessly need her like I need the air in my lungs.
It’s a silly thought to even contemplate. I need her to figure it out for herself. I know her birthday is soon and once she feels the same pull I feel, she’ll understand everything.
Unable to control myself, I pin her body against the wall when she steps forward. Her breath hitches when I grasp her wrists with my one hand, a growl escaping from my chest when her breasts push up from the motion. Fuck, I can’t wait to play with those breasts. To squeeze and devour them in my mouth. I feel my cock twitch at the thought. My canines extend from my mouth and I scrape the tender flesh of her neck, fighting back the urge to sink my teeth into her. She shivers in delight and her eyes darken for a second and disappears too quickly. Her pretty little wolf feels it, she wants me to give into my temptation and do it. If only her human would cooperate.
“This is the only chance I’ll give you. Do you wish to become a part of the Crescent Pack? Do you wish to take rank as an omega in this pack?” I ask, fear grabbling at my insides that she might object.
She stares at me blankly. Titus growled inside, his impatience growing thin. The answer should be easy.
“If you become a shifter in Crescent Pack, you will be under my protection, Lexi. The choice is yours, but I do need an answer. The longer you're pack less, the more danger you’re in,” I explained to her, feeling the walls close in as I waited for her answer.
Her eyes suddenly light up, “so I can be an omega here?”
My breathing becomes elevated at the thought of my future Luna servicing me. She should be by my side, but I know it’s the only way to get her to agree.
“Yes. You’ll never experience the same torment here that you did in your old pack. A new start for both you and your wolf,” I state, searching her face for any hint of emotion.
She swallows the lump in her throat, “yes, I wish to become a member of the Crescent Pack.”
A boiling hot feeling floods my veins like my blood is on fire. Unable to hold back, I took in a deep breath of her scent to calm Titus. Our lips hover for a second, the pull becoming too difficult to resist. Her lips land on mine, engulfing me in a wild kiss. Her tongue hungrily searches for mine, starving for a taste. I press my body into hers, my hand grasping her full breast in my hand. She moans in my mouth at the action, her body betraying her and whimpering for more.
Pulling back, I stare down at her green eyes. She stares up at me through her long lashes that fan her eyes, a dazed expression on her face until her legs give out on her and her body landing in my arms.
“Lexi!” I yelp, my emotions now becoming a tangled mess. “I-I’m okay,” she manages to stutter out. I take her body against my chest, surprised at how light she is, and carry her into my bedroom. Lexi nuzzles into my chest, her eyes going heavy. “How much did you drink?” I say with a chuckle as I place her body on the bed.
Shaking her head, she replies, “I guess you just make me breathless,” she says in a laugh that too makes me chuckle at her playfulness. “Lexi,” I scold, looking for the answer to my question. “Not as much as yesterday, Layla gave me a drink… I didn’t realize it would be so strong.”
She’s right. That amount of alcohol shouldn’t have this much of an impact on her wolf but then again, her wolf is nearly dormant. I sigh, my fingers pushing back the loose strands that surround her face when Lexi abruptly jumps up, adrenaline coursing through her at such raging speed that I nearly fall over.
She pushes down the right strap, then the left and shimmies out of the tight white dress. Her round breasts spill out, leaving her bare in her white lace panties.
I shift backwards on the bed, knowing my self-control is teetering on the edge. I won’t be able to resist her if I don’t get my wolf out of here. “It’s really hot in here, aren’t you hot?” she says, stepping forward and running her hands down the defined ridges on my chest. Her breasts press against my chest as she wraps her arms around my neck, her scent trailing into my nostrils. A mysterious glint reflects from her eyes, determined to get what she wants.
“Lexi, I can’t,” I said. My words cause her eyes to shut tightly as if she’s holding back her tears. Fuck, now I’ve really done it. “I want you. I’m dying here, just being around you makes my wolf go crazy. I want every inch of you, but I won’t take you until you’re ready. It’s not fair to you.”
She tilts her head slightly to the side, and it's as if I can feel her thoughts running rampant in her mind, unsure if she’s angry with herself or me. “Stop treating me like I’m some washed up wolf that can’t think for herself.”
