Jaxson's POV:
I was a little nervous to let Carolina go on her own but when she returns with a more freed look on her face I am very happy I swallowed my anxiety and let her go.
She had walked right into my office, where I was sitting doing some work, and sat in front of me told me about all that happened and what they decided on.
The part that of course stuck out to was when Carolina said that she was able to break through some of Kathrine's wall she had built from her experience with her father. I was really proud by the way she handled everything, the way she talked and figured everything out I just knew she would be a "Great Luna Queen."
"What did you say Jaxson?" She ask making me realize I had spoken out loud a bit. "I was just saying that you are an amazing Luna Queen." I told her smiling at her. She glowed at the complement and sat forward ready to take on the next part of her work today with me.
Which was of course.
Finding Noah.
Everything has been order and things are starting to get into place in the ballroom for the ceremony this weekend. The past few days I have been focusing my time mostly on this.
It isn't a common thing for someone to be inducted into the royal pack, let alone two people.
Everyone is buzzing with excitement, except the one person I really want to be enjoying them selves. Kathrine.
She has barely talked to anyone outside of me, her mother, and Jaxson. And when she does speak it is small sentences. Nothing like the first time I had visited her home. But she looks better. The color is coming back to her face and Reece told me she was eating normally again.
So that's always a good start but I want her to smile and be happy on her ceremony day.
"Where is Tyler and Zack?" I ask Jaxson who was helping instruct the movers where to put everything and how to set it up.
"They are out of the pack limits back at the building Noah was staying at to see if they can find anything more. We are also holding some of the Rouges there still, we don't have that big of a holding area for them." He told me.
"Will they be back in time for the ceremony?" I asked knowing we need them here. "Yes, they are planning to come back Friday." He told me. "Good."
"Luna Queen, where would these arrangements go?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is now Friday, two days till the ceremony.
Today was the dressing for Kathrine and Reece. We had ordered them the required dress to the ceremony traditions and it was now time to make sure they fitted them.
It is also the day that Zack and Tyler are to return. I asked Jaxson to give me constant updates about how far they are. I wanna make sure they can met Reece and Kathrine before the ceremony.
"They are like 10 minutes away." Jaxson told me sitting up from the couch as I walked into the room to wait for Kathrine to now come out.
Reece fit hers perfectly. The dresses or of white lace the flows all the down to the floor. It is a material that once it gets wet it turns into a goldish color, not a pure gold but a yellow mixture.
Me and Jaxson will be wearing out golden clothes and everyone else will be wearing that color. Its supposed to signify the transfer.
"What's taking Kathrine so long?" Reece asked to basically no one. "I'm sure she is just nervous and is getting used to the dress." I said wanting to give her more time. As Reece was about to respond there was a knock at the door.
"That should be the boys." I said standing to open the door but before I could make it, the boor had swung open and in walked Tyler, leaving a very confused Zack behind him.
"What's going on?" He asked. "Like I would know." I told him then looked to Jaxson to see if he had any ideas and it seemed he did as he watched Tyler walk down the hallway and stopped at the bathroom where Kathrine was changing.
I was about to stop him when Jaxson grabbed me. "They worst thing we could do right now is get involved." He whispered into my ear.
Tyler seemed nervous as he lightly knocked on the door twice before waiting. "Hello?" I can faintly hear Kathrine say. She must be scared.
Tyler was quite as he seemed to not know what to say, but he didn't have the chance as the bathroom door started opening. They both seemed to freeze but for different reasons.
"Your...." Tyler tried. But it seemed Kathrine still understood as her fear faded slowly as she looked up to him. "Your beautiful and I can't believe you are here. I mean. I'm so happy I found you." He finally seemed to find some words.
He tried to reach out to touch her but she slightly moved away. "Its fine, don't be worried." He said moving back. "My name is Tyler, I am the beta of this pack." He told her holding out his hand.
"I'm Kathrine. Nothing to my name anymore." She looked away slightly in shame. But she still put her hand in his.
They held each others hands for a moment longer then normal before coming back into reality.
"That dress is perfect for the ceremony." Tyler said. "Do you like it?" He asked.
She seemed unsure as she shrugged. "It is very beautiful, thank you Luna Queen, but its just my back, its... um." She tried to explain. I decided that I should check what she was speaking about and when I looked I knew what she was worried about.
There were scares on her back, many little ones but also 3 very large ones running from her left should sideways down her exposed back.
"We can get you one that covers it if you want." I whispered to her and she nodded before walking back into the bathroom with out exposing her back to specifically Tyler.
"Is there something I should be worried about?" He asked me as we all moved into the living room. "I don't want to get in to it much cause really, Kathrine should get to tell you, and we really don't know much."
I took a deep breath thinking about how insane this is. Tell a male, even if it is calm level headed Tyler, that their mate that they just met came from a abusive father, and might have permit trust issues along with a lot of other issues.
"Kathrine has had some trauma in her recent past that she is still mentally and physically healing from." I told him.
He seemed rightfully enraged. "Who?" He asked, we all knew what he was asking for.
"Noah." Reece spoke up.
"I'm going to kill him." He said moving to sit next to Zack, and Jaxson who was looking at me and seemed to be getting angry as well. Probably being reminded of our first meeting.
Jaxson's POV:
Today is the day of the ceremony that Carolina has worked so hard on. But I have an uneasy feeling and from the way Carolina is barely touching her lunch I can tell she feels it too.
"If anything happens tonight make sure you are always with me, Tyler, or Zack and you have Kathrine with you." I finally said. This has been bugging me all day.
I know my fear is the Noah is going to come in and attack while we celebrate but I don't see how he could know my packs affairs like this.
"You feel it too? This strange feeling that something is going to go wrong?" Carolina shocked me as she asked. "Yeah, but it might just be a over reaction. But either way I wanna prepare for the worst but believe in the best." I told her moving in front of her.
She looked up to me with a faint smile nodding her head agreeing.
"Kathrine and Mrs. Reece are beginning to get ready, they should be ready on time if you would like to move into the ballroom Alpha King and Luna Queen." One of the male wolves acting as a guide for the day informed us.
"Thank you, that would be a good idea." Carolina said moving ahead of me to walk into the ballroom. She probably wanted to get one last look over everything before people start arriving.
"You remember everything you have to say and do?" I asked her. I know she is focused on make everything look nice but she also has to remember her duties.
"Yes, I repeat the questions you ask to Reece to Kathrine and then hand you the water to pour down their heads. The fabric should react to the water shifting colors to a off gold." She told me confidently making me relax.
I bent down lightly kissing her cheek before moving right in front of her face "Perfect, you are amazing." She moved and hugged herself onto me.
Carolina's POV:
I am really excited about this ceremony, it's the first one I will be conducting as the new Luna Queen. Which is really nerve wrecking as well.
I have double, no triple checked everything now. The food, the decorations, even the flowers. All where they need to be. I have also enlisted some of the help of some of the pack members to serve food.
It will all go perfectly.
At least I hope-
Carolina's POV:
The music started as me and Jaxson stand at the end of the alley. Beside me is Zack and a excited bubbling Tyler. Every since he met Katherine he has been in a very good mood.
I have been really happy for the both of them. Tyler, even through excited is giving Katherine the space and time she needs. She seems to be warming up to him, she has been talking more. Of course only with him. Anyone else tries and she is silent again.
The music stops and I see Recce start walking in first with Katherine close behind her.
It wasn't a long walk before the were standing side by side in front of us. In the corner of my eyes I see Tyler mouth something to Katherine, which seems to calm her.
Her and Recce look up to Jaxson waiting for him to start. "Everyone, it isn't everyday we in the Royal pack introduce someone into our pack, but today we are being joined by two new members." He starts.
"Because of these two we were able to find where our Luna Queen was after she was taken. And because of that I am forever in their debt, this whole pack is in their debt. And that is why I am honored to do this coronation." He smiles to both of them earning happy looks from them.
"Do you both promise to be loyal to this pack?" He asks starting the questioning. As he speaks Tyler and Zack start moving behind them with a bowl of water in their hands.
"I do." They both say.
"Do you promise to listen to the words of you Alpha King and Luna Queen?" I ask as Tyler and Zack lift to start pouring the water.
"I do." They both repeat again.
"Do you promise to do what you can to help and serve and treat this pack as your own." He asked finally.
"I do." They both repeated for the final time, closing there eyes preparing for the water.
"As Alpha King," Jaxson starts. "And Luna Queen." I say. "We introduce you to the royal pack." Me and Jaxson say at the same time and Tyler and Zack slowly pour the water and the color of their dresses change from a pearl white to a off gold just like planned.
Claps erupt as we lower our hands and help them to there feet to turn to the crowd.
"And there is a special announcement from Tyler, that I am sure all of you will be excited to hear." I say quieting the crowd and smiling to Tyler telling him to speak.
He moves next to Katherine as he says "I have met the future female Gamma." and the crowd was back to cheering and celebrating this time 10 times louder.
"Lets start this party." Jaxson clapped as everyone cheered. Music started playing again and food, chairs, and tables moved into the room by the assigned workers.
Tyler leaded Kathrine to another room where she could dry off and change clothes. I watched as they walked out of the room Kathrine's hand wrapped around Tyler's arm, him smiling down at her.
I looked back at Jaxson thinking back to the first time we met. I must have been staring at him for longer then I thought cause he looks down to me with a confused look.
"Are you ok? You did great." He tells me. I smile at him moving in front of him as he wraps his arms around me and starts swaying us side to side slowly.
"I'm perfect. Right here." I tell him placing my head over his heart, listening to its beating song.
Everything was perfect, the lights, the music, the pack was happy and full.
But as the door opened I looked thinking I was going to see a smiling Kathrine hung on to Tyler still but no. Instead it was Noah, holding Kathrine, bragging her by her hair and another person restraining a bleeding Tyler.
The room seemed to freeze in time as Jaxson moved me behind him and stared at the scene before us.
Kathrine was frightened still unable to fight back against the man that scared her so much.
I looked around the room seeing the fearful faces and couldn't stop my self from wondering what was about to happen to this perfect day and what I can do to stop it.
