Carolina's POV:

The music started as me and Jaxson stand at the end of the alley. Beside me is Zack and a excited bubbling Tyler. Every since he met Katherine he has been in a very good mood.

I have been really happy for the both of them. Tyler, even through excited is giving Katherine the space and time she needs. She seems to be warming up to him, she has been talking more. Of course only with him. Anyone else tries and she is silent again.

The music stops and I see Recce start walking in first with Katherine close behind her.

It wasn't a long walk before the were standing side by side in front of us. In the corner of my eyes I see Tyler mouth something to Katherine, which seems to calm her.

Her and Recce look up to Jaxson waiting for him to start. "Everyone, it isn't everyday we in the Royal pack introduce someone into our pack, but today we are being joined by two new members." He starts.

"Because of these two we were able to find where our Luna Queen was after she was taken. And because of that I am forever in their debt, this whole pack is in their debt. And that is why I am honored to do this coronation." He smiles to both of them earning happy looks from them.

"Do you both promise to be loyal to this pack?" He asks starting the questioning. As he speaks Tyler and Zack start moving behind them with a bowl of water in their hands.

"I do." They both say.

"Do you promise to listen to the words of you Alpha King and Luna Queen?" I ask as Tyler and Zack lift to start pouring the water.

"I do." They both repeat again.

"Do you promise to do what you can to help and serve and treat this pack as your own." He asked finally.

"I do." They both repeated for the final time, closing there eyes preparing for the water.

"As Alpha King," Jaxson starts. "And Luna Queen." I say. "We introduce you to the royal pack." Me and Jaxson say at the same time and Tyler and Zack slowly pour the water and the color of their dresses change from a pearl white to a off gold just like planned.

Claps erupt as we lower our hands and help them to there feet to turn to the crowd.

"And there is a special announcement from Tyler, that I am sure all of you will be excited to hear." I say quieting the crowd and smiling to Tyler telling him to speak.

He moves next to Katherine as he says "I have met the future female Gamma." and the crowd was back to cheering and celebrating this time 10 times louder.

"Lets start this party." Jaxson clapped as everyone cheered. Music started playing again and food, chairs, and tables moved into the room by the assigned workers.

Tyler leaded Kathrine to another room where she could dry off and change clothes. I watched as they walked out of the room Kathrine's hand wrapped around Tyler's arm, him smiling down at her.

I looked back at Jaxson thinking back to the first time we met. I must have been staring at him for longer then I thought cause he looks down to me with a confused look.

"Are you ok? You did great." He tells me. I smile at him moving in front of him as he wraps his arms around me and starts swaying us side to side slowly.

"I'm perfect. Right here." I tell him placing my head over his heart, listening to its beating song.

Everything was perfect, the lights, the music, the pack was happy and full.

But as the door opened I looked thinking I was going to see a smiling Kathrine hung on to Tyler still but no. Instead it was Noah, holding Kathrine, bragging her by her hair and another person restraining a bleeding Tyler.

The room seemed to freeze in time as Jaxson moved me behind him and stared at the scene before us.

Kathrine was frightened still unable to fight back against the man that scared her so much.

I looked around the room seeing the fearful faces and couldn't stop my self from wondering what was about to happen to this perfect day and what I can do to stop it.

Carolina's POV:

I can feel my heart pumping as I run back into the chaotic room. Warriors were jumping onto the rouges biting and nipping at them. It was very obvious that the warriors were overpowering them, but there was two wolves I couldn't see.

Where is Jaxson and Noah?

A Rouge noticed me and tried to jump for me but was knocked out of the way by one of the warriors and towards the only other unshifted person, Kathrine.

The Rouge smashed through the door and into the hall as Kathrine shrink into the corner as the warrior jumped onto him again. It was obvious she was frozen in fear and didn't know what to do, in reality, neither did I.

But my feet started moving on there own as the voice in my head yelled at me to protect her.

"Kathrine," I said as I reached her and covered her in a hug. "Come on, we have to go. Tyler is worried about you." I told her to motivate her to stand.

Her eyes looked up to me in widen surprise, but I didn't wait, I help lift her up onto her shacking legs, and letting her lean onto me I walked her out of the room. We walked around the edge trying to stay away from all the violence.

I walked her into the woods a little before sitting her down against a tree.

We could still hear the fighting in the pack house. I looked around trying to see if I could hear anything that would lead me to Jaxson.

"He lead him into the woods that way." Kathrine pointed to the right farther into the woods. "Thank you, will you be ok?" I asked receiving a nod from her.

"If you walk straight that way you should be able to find Tyler and Zack." I tell her helping her stand up and lead her in the direction before splitting ways.

I start running again. Towards my mate.

Jaxson's POV:

He is a lot tougher then I thought he would be, for a old alpha.

When we first started fighting after Carolina ran off he dragged me out by me neck and caught me off guard. I recovered though and now and have been able to put some injuries on him.

I can tell his adrenaline is running low.

I was prepared to end this battle when his eyes locked onto something behind me. He seemed to have a second wind and whipped around me to charge what ever was behind me.

My instincts told me that whatever or whoever was behind me was something I can not let him have, so without thinking I grabbed his neck and swung him back.

Curiosity got the best of me and I looked behind me to see what he was targeting. And my eyes landed on Carolina.

What is she doing here.

I was so distracted that Noah had a chance to get the jump on me and knocked me down. We started flipping and fighting again that's when a smaller wolf jumped on him and pushed him off of me.

I knew who it was, Carolina.

It didn't even take any thinking for me to jump back in the fight. Noah pushed Carolina off of him and she rolled on the ground landing on her feet. I moved next to her to check her, she seemed fine but there was still a enemy here.

I turned to look at Noah and it seemed Carolina focused back I him too. We started circling around, his growls echoing in the woods.

Till he made a move and jumped to Carolina. I jumped on him and took advantage of the situation. Even though I hate Carolina being this close to danger it doesn't change the fact she distracts him and makes his movements easier to read.

Now his attention on me we attack back and forth with Carolina circling us looking for a in to help. She must have found one as she jumps in and runs her teeth into Noah's back causing him to pause in a moment of pain.

I then pierce my teeth into his neck and pulling out a chunk of flesh. He dropped to his paws and in pain lowered his head to the ground trying to give it support. I continued my attacks till he was on the ground and shifting back to human form.

We had won our fight and protect the pack together.

I look to see Carolina looking at Noah with conflicted eyes. She doesn't want to hurt anyone but I know that she knows that sometimes nothing can be done about it.

I walk slowly to her and place my head around her's, comforting her the best I can in this form. She seems to calm down and we start our way back to the pack to put Noah into custody.

It feels strange looking into the cell and seeing Noah sitting in the corner not answering the many questions Jaxson and Zack have been asking him.

Tyler and Kathrine have both been taken to get the help they need. It has been hard on them to be separate from each other as they get the treatment they need.

The pack didn't have many casualties, but the pack house first floor was basically destroyed.

"That will be all today Henry." Jaxson says as they walk out of the cell and into the observing room I am standing in.

"I think we aren't getting anywhere." Jaxson says to me annoyed. He moves in front of me before asking "Ready to go home?" To which I answer with a single nod and wrap my arms around Jaxson's next and let him pick me up.

It's been a long couple of days. Me and him have both been super busy with pack duties. I have been checking in with everyone effect by the attack and making sure they are ok while also over seeing the rebuilding of the pack house.

I didn't really want to be involved with interrogating Noah and his Rouge followers, so I left that up to Zack and Jackson.

"How is Tyler doing today?" Jaxson asked me.

I had visited them before coming to the cells.

"Better, I think they are ready to get out of the hospital though." I said not lifting my head from his shoulder. Him and Zack laugh at that. "I'm sure they are. Knowing Tyler he is ready to spend time with Kathrine." Zack teased.

"I would too, if I was in him position and had to be away from Carolina." Jaxson said rearranging his grip on me, holding me tighter.

"I am ready to just lay down and sleep." Zack said tired. Seeing as he has had to take over Beta duties and also do his Third duties I can understand his exhaustion.

Jackson nodded as we finally walked about of the building. "You are good then for the rest of the day Zack. I think we are about to do the same thing and sleep." He joked as I conveniently yawned.

"Sounds good, have a nice day you two. Stay out of trouble." He joked as he started his short walk home.

Jaxson makes his way to our car and sets me down in it after I opened the door. We start around way home and once we get there another wave of exhaustion hit me.

Jaxson walked his way to the front door as I stumbled my way. "You probably don't want anything to eat before laying down, do you?" He asked me.

"No, I just want to sleep." I said not as a joke but it still made him laugh. "Ok, upstairs we go."

It felt like a few seconds before I was laying down on our bed. Jaxson had walked into the bathroom so I just took my time changing and getting under the blankets. He walked out with wet hair and moved to the closet to get dressed.

He was really warm once he laid down in the bed. I was pushing myself against him so that his warmth would surround me.

"Better?" He asked me in a low voice, not really a whisper but still quite.

"Much better." I told him. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me to him. "I'm so tired." I told him.

"I know, but you have been doing such a great job, Luna Queen." He told me.

"You think so?" I asked pulling back a little to look him in the face. "Definitely. You have taken all your responsibilities head on. I'm really proud of you." He told me pulling me back to him.

That was the best thing I think I could have fallen asleep to.

Or at least I thought until I heard him whisper one last thing as my mind drifted away.

"I love you butterfly."
