Chapter 26 Home

Cristian's POV.

"What the hell do you mean she left Cristian?!" My father's been shouting at me ever since I told him Elle left.

"He means she packed her bags and left the castle. What more explanation do you need?" Simon answered him before I could.

"Shut up, Simon!" We both said in unison.

"You better find that girl Cristian, because if you don't, I won't help you and I'll leave you to fight the demons by yourself" He walks up to the door and turns to me. "You have 24 hours or else I leave. Find the girl!" He said right before he slammed my door shut.

Something about my father's behavior just doesn't set right with me. He usually wouldn't have given me more time, he would just call it off and leave. He has been showing much interest in Elle too.

All I need is to find Elle. If I have just went to her last night I would of probably stopped her. This is all my fault.

Where could she be?

I look over to Simon and he has amusement all over his face. "Why are you smiling. You think this is funny?"

He shakes his head while smiling. "No. It's just your suffering I find amusing"

"I'm glad my suffering makes you happy" I fake smile at him.

"Oh it does" He smiles. "So when are going to the Royal blue moon pack?"

His question caught me off guard. "Why would we be going there?"

"Isn't it obvious? She went back there because of her sister and..... her mate"

Now those last two words got me angry. "He is not her mate! He rejected her and she accepted which means they don't have a connection what's so ever"

"They were meant for each other Cristian. Rejected or not there will always be a connection between them"

I gave him a look. "What? I read. Werewolves stories are really interesting and their drama queens" Simon sang the last part out.

"I don't care. I'm going there for her and bringing her back. Tonight" That's my final decision.

Simon really got me annoyed with the last question.

"Can I wear a ski mask?"

Elle's POV.

We're all now in Jackson's office, all except Jessica and Veronica.

"Now Elle let me get this clear. You decided to come back home to your sister but she wasn't at home so you decided to come here?" Jackson, Andrew's dad asked.

Ok when he puts it that way it sounds stupid. "When I found my house empty I was going to stay there but dew to personal issues I couldn't"

"So the house you grew up in, the house you wanted to come back to, you couldn't stay at because of personal issues?"

"Yes!" I raised my voice at him.

He's asking all these question, making me nervous. I didn't mean to raise my voice like that its just that I don't want to tell him everything. Like why I chose to come back or why I couldn't staying at my own house.

"Ok dad. Could you please calm down with the questions" Andrew stood by my side and but his hand on my shoulder and rubbed it with his thumb.

I took a deep breath and calmed myself down.

"I'm sorry Elle. Let me try a little more subtle. Where have you been since you left?"

I can't lie. "The vampire castle" I felt Andrew stop rubbing my shoulder but he didn't remove his hand and I'm glad he didn't.

I didn't get a reaction from any of them so I don't know what that means.

"Were you held hostage or did you go there willingly?"

"Well I didn't go there willingly and I was not held prisoner-" I explained what happened the first time I got there. When I first shifted and Simon found me, took me there and how they felt bad for me so they let me stay.

Last one is sort of a lie.

He nods his head processing everything. "Ok" he pauses and has the look of uncertainty. "Elle could you please step out of the office? I need to talk this out with my son"

Understandable. "Sure. I'll just be in Andrew's room"

I left the room but I didn't leave the area. I walked away a good distance and then hide my scent, to let them think I left.

I tip toed back closer to the door and listened in.

"Son, I want you to watch her closely"

"What? You don't believe her?"

"I believe most the things she said was true, but I don't think vampires would just take in a werewolf because she was rejected and sad"

"What do you think happened?"

"Remember the talk we had the other night?"

"Yeah"

"I think that's the reason why they let her stay.... and I think there's more to the story"

Oh no. No no no no no. What do they think I was there for? Do they know what I am?

"Vampires wouldn't just let you go either. For all we know, they could of sent her to spy on us or something"

"No dad, she wouldn't do that or even stoop so low"

"You never know. Being the alpha of a pack you have to keep a close eye on everyone and anyone, even your own mate."

I would never do that, but I do understand why they would think that. Why would the vampires spy on them any way?

I walked as quietly away from the office and went outside. As I stepped outside I started getting weird looks. Such as confusion, hatred or some would just walk past like they didn't know me. I bet they don't even remember me.

I ignored the looks and ran back to my house. When I got there the door was still open, I guess I didn't close it lastnight.

I slowly walk in and looked around the place, empty. This is just so weird and scary for me. The place I grew up in. The place I ran away from. The place that holds the best and worst memories.

My home... which is also my nightmare.

"Elle"

That voice. It sends chills done my spine.

I close my eyes, turn to the person and open my eyes. "I lied. They didn't take me in out of the kindness of their hearts. They took me in because of the connection we have" I came clean.

"Being a succubus?"

That caught me by surprise. "How'd you know?"

"My dad told me after I saw you that night"

That's what they were talking about.

"Why didn't you say anything?"

He takes a deep breath and walks closer to me. "The right time didn't come around I guess"

I look at him in the eyes for a sign. I don't know what sign but just anything. I got something but I couldn't explain it.

I turned around and looked back at the empty house. "Your sister is with her mate" Those six words brought a smile to my face.

I turn around to face him. "Really, where is she?"

"The lunar pack, she met him over a month ago and decided to move a few days after your visit"

I am kind of sad she's not here anymore but I'm happy she found her mate.

"Was she happy?"

"As far as I could've seen, yeah" That was the only answer I need. "Do you plan on leaving again or are you staying?"

"I'm staying but I can't stay here" I look around the house then walked upstairs to my room, with Andrew following behind. I open the door and stand at the door way looking at my stuff.

"These things belong to the old me and the old me is gone"

From the corner of my eye, I see him look from my room to me. "What was the old you?"

"Afraid, lonely, scared to face her fears..." I look to him. "Heartbroken" probably still am, but not the same way. I can't explain it. "And the stupid girl that played investigator trying to find her parents" I laughed.

"I don't want to be that girl anymore and sure as hell don't want to remember it" I walk away from my room and walk down stairs.

"You can stay with me" Andrew offers.

I shake my head. "No, I don't want to be a burden"

"Trust me you're not. Please"

I start to have an argument with Eva.

"Say yes, say yes" Eva says happily.

"No"

"Say yes"

"No"

"SAY YES" This time she growls at me threateningly.

I smile at Andrew. "Yes"

We both smile at each other until his face got serious. "Elle you have to tell my dad what happened. Everything"

I nod my head agreeing. I can't keep lying to them.

We walk back to Andrew's house, still get some stares but I would just keep my head down.

We are back in Andrew's father's office. I told him everything this time. I told him why they took me in, and also about the demons and why they wanted me dead.

"Am sorry Elle but we can't have you stay here"

"Dad!"

"No Andrew! She will lead them to us, to the pack and I will not allow her to bring danger to this pack"

"The last time I checked this is my pack" Andrew stood up in front his father, held his head high. "I am the alpha of the Royal blue moon pack and Elle is my mate-" That last part kind of shocked me. "And I will protect her at any circumstances that comes her way" This time both Damon and Andrew were talking.

"That was hot" Eva purred.

They both looked at each other furiously, growling. Andrew is up against his father, both of their wolves having a fight for dominance. Andrew is a small pup compared to his father but I can also see the courage and leadership radiating off him.

They both stand in the same position, the same fight for dominance for a good five minutes. I would try to stop it but it's a rule to never disturb two wolves at the fight for dominance, especially father and son.

They both started to calm down. Jackson spoke first, "You are my son, Andrew and I will stand by your side through your decisions-" he pauses and walk up to Andrew. He puts one of his hand on his shoulder and they put their foreheads together and look at each other. "But you better know what you're doing son." Jackson said sternly.

"I do dad" Andrew pats his father's shoulder and they both hug.

I feel like I shouldn't be here but at the same time I don't want it to end.

"You guys really don't have to do this, I can just leave-"

"You said you were staying" Andrew said sounded disappointed.

"Not if I put the pack in danger"

"You might be but they will fight for their Luna"

"I am not their Luna" I don't think I could ever rule these people, not after the way they treated me and am most definitely not a leader.

"But you are my mate" Am not your mate either.

I don't have the courage to say that out loud. I don't want to say it, but the sad truth is it's true.

"I will do whatever I can to protect you"

"Why?"

He looks behind him at his dad then looks back at me with sympathy in his eyes. "Because I don't want to make the same mistake my parents did"

I creased my eyebrows together in confusion. What does my parents have to do with this.

"We knew your mother was a succubus, Elle" Jackson said in the back. "Why do you think we spent so long trying to find them? We knew when your mom and dad disappeared that it had to be the demons, because something similar that's happening to you happened to your mother"

If they knew about my family then why didn't they say something?

"Your parents asked us to not say anything about it to you, to anyone, no matter what happened." He walked up to me and look down at me. "When they disappeared-"

"Taken" I interrupted. "They got taken"

"Right. After they got taken we searched for them as hard as we could. When we didn't find any trace of them we gave up and tried our best to keep you and your sister out of this."

"Yeah by making us outcast and treated terribly" I could see the guilt on their faces and that satisfied me.

"I am so sorry that happened to you. I never knew it was that bad"

"You were the alpha you should've known!" I shouted at Jackson. Then I turned to Andrew. "And you were the future alpha. You should've stopped it but instead you joined in!"

I looked at them angry. They are to blame for what me and my sister went through. Andrew is to blame for what I went through.

Andrew came in front of me and Jackson stepped back with guilt all over is face. Good.

"Elle, I know they treated you terribly, I treated you terribly and I saw the mistake of what I did. Most of us do and we're sorry. Please forgive us"

"What? You're not going to use the excuse of wanting to protect me from the big secret?" Am surprised he didn't say that. Most would.

He inhaled and looked down before looking back up at me. "I didn't know about it" Now am confused. "Only the elders knew about it" Jackson scuffed at Andrew calling him elder. "I'm so sorry" Andrew continued.

I am thinking about staying here, I want stay here. I want to give them a second chance..... and that's what am going to do.

"Fine"

"What?"

"Fine, I'll stay"

I smile grows on Andrew's face and it makes me happy. Stupid mate bond.

"Ok. Elle we are going to need you to lay low. We don't want the demons knowing where you are" I nod my head understanding. "We also so don't have enough rooms for you to stay in so if it's ok, you'll have to stay in Andrew's room."

"I agree to that"

"It's ok. We can share"

After dinner I went straight to Andrew's room and took a bath and changed into another set of his clothes. A little too big for me but I can make it work.

I rolled up the waist. I know. But it's the only choice I got.

I sat on the bed and just looked around Andrew's room. It's just like some typical teenage boy's room, without posters of naked women.

The rooms painted blue, no surprise there. A few posters of some bands, some of which I love. I guess we can say we have same music taste.

I see a basket ball, boxing gloves and..... a baseball bat? Why does he have a baseball bat? They don't play baseball.

However, all in all I like his room.

Suddenly I feel the room get cold. I turn around and see the window open. I get up from the bed and close the window.

"So this is where you came to?" A voice said from across the room.

I turn around, frightened. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to get you" he walk started walking to me.

"Stop. Don't you dare come close to me" Seeing his face just brings back the pain in my chest. "I am not going anywhere with you"

"Yes you are Elle. I need to explain what happened"

"No need. I already know that you and your father made a deal. To protect me and you marry Olivia"

"Yes! That is reason, nothing else. I don't love her Elle"

Is he serious? "Do you really think that's what am mad at you for?"

"What else is there?"

"You fooled around with me when you already made a commitment to somebody else" Here comes the water works.

"Someone that I don't love" He walks up to me.

"It doesn't matter. You made a deal and the last time I checked you have  to stay committed to a deal." I wipe the tears rolling down my face and look at the man that caused me pain. "You are getting married to someone Cristian and I will not contribute to your foolishness"

"Am sorry, Can you please just come back with me?"

"WHY? Why should I come back with you?"

"Because I love you!"

I held my breath as soon as he said that. He can't love me. Does he?

I did the only thing that came to mind, "Well I don't love you" Lie.

I just told Cristian a lie that I can't take back and I refuse to. He needs to leave and this is the only way to.

"Elle?" That's Andrew.

Oh no he can't see Cristian. "You need to leave" I whispered yelled.

"No. I made a promise that I will protect you and am going to keep it" He didn't even whisper!

"That's a first" I commented on him keeping promises. "Please just leave. He can't see you here"

"Not until you come back with me"

"Elle is someone in there with you?"

"Please just go. I am not going anywhere with you"

"See I told you" Someone came out of the corner in a ski mask which made me scream from fright.

"Simon?"

"Elle?!" Andrew came busting inside the room and that caused me to scream as well.

My eyes widen at the sight in front of me. "Andrew!"

"What are they doing here? Did you bring them here?"

"What? No! They-" I started but Cristian cut me off.

"I came here to get her and bring her back"

"She's not going anywhere with you"

"You really want to try me wolf boy" Cristian started to walk up to Andrew. I jumped in between them.

"Can we not start anything?" I look between the two of them but all they did was glare at each other. "I am not going anywhere, Cristian. I'm staying here"

He looks away from Andrew and down at me. "I have to protect you Elle and I can't do that if you are not at the castle"

Andrew steps in front of Cristian, blocking me. "I'll protect her. She doesn't need you"

"You do know that the demons think she's at my castle and they'll attack there right?"

"Even better" Andrew smiles.

"Not when they realize she's not there. They will bring destruction to everyone if they don't find her"

"And I won't sit back and allow them to be attacked when it's my fault" I said from behind Andrew.

I won't do that.

"Great, you're coming back" Cristian smiles.

Andrew growls at Cristian, warning him.

"I'm not coming back." That dropped Cristian's smile. "BUT I have an idea." They both look at me confused so I continued. "We can work together"

They were both silent, Simon on the other hand was laughing, wheezing might I say.

"That... was... a.. good...one" He said between laughs. He calmed down and wiped a tear from his eye. "I knew you were funny Elle but that was hysterical"

"Am not joking"

"You must be because there is no way I am partnering with that blood sucker"

"Why not? You both are trying to protect me and I'm not going back to the castle and Cristian won't leave if I stay and you two won't give up until one of you is dead. This is the best option"

Simon pulls Cristian back and Andrew pulls me back. "You know my father won't agree to this and the pack"

"I'll talk to them"

"Elle I am not working with them"

I put my hand on his shoulder and gentle squeeze it. I look him in the eye, "Yes you are"

"My parents won't agree to this" He shakes his head stubbornly.

"I'll talk to them"

"But they won't-" He started again but I cut him.

"Shut up. I'll talk to them"

I turn around to Cristian and Simon and they look like their having an argument themselves. I would listen in but their speaking in Spanish.

Simon pats Cristian's face and turn him around to us. "We're in" Simon says happily.

I smile thinking this is all going to work out. All Cristian and Andrew do is glare at each other.

After we talked about how this is going to work and when we made final agreements, Simon and Cristian left.

It's a good thing Andrew's family wasn't here because all hell would of broken out. I'll just wait until tomorrow to do that when I tell them our agreement.

I'm in some deep shit.
