"Are you sure this is safe?"
"I have never heard bringing back over a hundred succubus' from the dead is a good thing."
Lyra snaps her head at Daniel. "It is the only way to stop the demons and don't you dear question my abilities."
Daniel flinches back making a cat noise while moving his hand in a clawing motion.
"This is also for revenge." She adds with anger and hate swirling in her eyes.
"Yeah but-"
"You do understand this is the last chance we got? No more chances. We will all die!"
Everyone stays quiet shocked but they knew she was telling the truth.
"I agree." I move from the doorway and they all turn to look at me as I sit on Andrew's lap. He wraps his arm around my waist, rubbing his thumb on my stomach. It comforts me and he knows it. "We can't trust anyone but ourselves." I said referring to The Night walker pack and Solar moon pack. "My family," I looked Anna and her eyes fall to the ground in thought. They are our blood. "It started with them, it might as well end with them." I chuckle and look at Andrew, "They're the ones we have up our sleeves." I said referring to our talk we had when I was having a break down.
"Go big or go home right?" Daniel asks.
"In this case, die." We look at Simon and he shrugs. "It's the truth."
He is right.
"That's the spirit." Jeremiah mumbles sarcastically.
Lyra hands Jeremiah a brown paper bag. "I fixed your concerns. You can inject it but make sure it's in the heart or else it will kill them." She said with a emotionless face.
What I realized about Lyra is she is not very talkative and barely shows emotion. Only emotion she's shown is anger, towards the demons and she really loves tea.
"I think this is it. We can leave now." We all nod and Andrew and I get up.
Everyone walks outside and Lyra calls me back. "Remember what I told you." I nod assuring her and we both walk outside to the others. "Do not worry about the others. They will come when the time is ready." She said referring to the succubus'.
She closes the door and we all face the trail we came from. "It's a long way back home now." Simon say disappointedly.
"Not if we go by our speed." I smiled. We all agreed and shifted while the vampires carried our bags.
We luckily got back by midnight. We didn't bother to wake anyone and went straight to bed.
We both wake up late the next morning, after getting cleaned up we left straight to Andrew's parents house.
Andrew closes the door behind us and we look around for anyone.
"Mom?! Dad!, we're back."
Veronica, Jackson and Jessica walks in the room with wide smiles on their faces. They kind of look creepy.
"We missed you both, so much."
"We've only been gone for two days." I stated.
"Oh, we know. You want something to eat?" Jackson squeaks.
He squeaked?
I tilt my head confused because of his how weird he's being. "Well-"
I started but stopped when Anna walks in with a nervous smile. "Hey guys."
"You got here before us?"
She nervously laughs. "Yeah." She says in a high pitched voice.
I ignore her weird behavior and sit on a stool around the island in the kitchen.. "Anyway, we have something to tell you guys." I smile. Andrew stands next to me. .
They all give each other a weird look and I continue. "We're pregnant."
They all make a surprised face and begin to congratulate us.
"I'm going to be a grandfather!" Jackson shouts excitedly.
Right away I knew something was wrong. "Anna already told you." I stated.
They pause for a second and then gave up. "Yeah and we're so excited."
I glare at Anna and she puts her hands up in defense. "They threatened it out of me."
"We did, don't blame her." Veronica walk around to us stands between us with a huge grin. "We're so happy for you two. I finally get some grandkids."
I nervously laugh at the word 'kids'. Sure I would want more but one would be great for now.
"Yeah, I'm going to be an aunt." Jessica grins. "Congratulations, Elle." She kisses me on the cheek and taps Andrew on the shoulder before leaving through the front door.
"How is the pregnancy treating you so far?" Veronica asks.
I share a look with Andrew and say, "I- it's been good so far, a few bellyaches here and there."
"I hope it's not serious."
"Don't worry." I smile. I see Andrew's smile drop slightly and I squeeze his hand to reassure him .
Jackson and Veronica continued to ask about my pregnancy, until they remembered about our trip and started to ask what happened.
We told them about Lyra and her plan with Elizabeth. They were over all shocked and worried about this plan. I tried to explain that it's the only thing we've got and we could actually stop the demons for good.
In the middle of thinking over everything an alert is sent through the entire pack. A rogue alert.
We all run outside to see everyone rushing inside. Andrew rushes Jessica inside and warriors begin ask through the mind link if they should attack as yet. I answered before anyone else did.
"Make sure they do not get on the pack land and DO NOT kill any of them!" I said sternly.
"But Luna-"
"Do as I say!"
"What are you doing?" Anna asks.
"I'm saving them. Now get inside and don't get involved!"
Without wasting another minute I take off running to where I hear the commotion and terrible smell.
"Their too strong!" Lucas shouts.
"I'm coming!" Andrew informed. "Chris?"
"I'm at the boarder. They are really different this time. I hope you got what you were looking for, because we're going to need it."
My heart starts beating out of chest worried what's different about them. In mid way of running I expand my wings out. I fly up to see a better view of what we're dealing with.
Is it me or do they look much bigger? Some seem to spot me and start to bark at me. Realization dawned on me that they're here for me.
I kind of got an idea. Let's hope they memo.
I begin to fly around in circles enough times for them to catch my scent, eventually they all did. I instantly fly off, away from them pack land and they all begin to follow me.
"Elle, what are you doing?!"
"Just follow behind me."
I look down to see multiple shadows moving in the woods rapidly. I am really hoping those are the vampires.
I slow down and so did the rogues. The shadows move from one rogue to another and I got my confirmation.
I knew Jeremiah had men out 24-7 and he definitely gave them each a dose of the cure.
I could see they were struggling with some. I dive down as I see one about to attack Simon. I grab it by the neck and slam them down hard on the ground.
They whimper in pain as I squeezed them by the throat, not to kill them but hopefully to knock it out long enough. It's body laid limp after 30 seconds.
I look around to see I'm completely surrounded by them. Everyone else is occupied with more rogues.
Shit.
"Guys?!"
"We don't have anymore!"
"What do you mean?!"
"The rest is at the castle. We ran out!"
The all begin to move closer to me snapping their teeth at me. With not able to get anymore ideas, I have to make the hard discussion.
"I'm so sorry." I whisper.
I pull the sword from behind me and slice each of their heads off. If I can't save them I can at least put them out of their misery.
By the time I was done, rogue bodies was scattered all around us. Some dead while the ones given the cure is just laying there.
I spot Simon frantically looking through each of the rogues. I tilt my questioningly.
"Simon, what's wrong?"
"H-he could be-" He mumbles.
"Whose he?"
He stops looking at me confused. "What?" I could see fear in his eyes. He's looking for someone.
A question immediately came to my mind which confused me but I still asked.
"Simon, why'd you come back?"
He pauses and gulps. "I didn't. They brought me back from the south.
"There was a reason you were there. Why did you come back?"
He sighs and scratches behind his neck. "It's Junior."
Who? Wait- "Junior from two years ago?"
To jog your memory, he was Cristian's ally that helped us to figure out what I was.
"Yes. We've been together for the past year and then he went missing two months ago."
"You think the demons got to him?"
"Yes. I tracked him to the south. That's how they found me."
"I'm so sorry. Why didn't you tell us before?" I sigh and say, "We'll find him. Ok?"
I feel so bad, he must be scared out of his mind. I'm just hoping we can find and save him.
"Elle?" Andrew is frantically looking around for me, holding his arm with blood all over his hand and clothes.
I quickly run over to him and look at his arm in horror. "Oh my god, are you ok?!"
His arm is covered in bite marks and a chunk of his arm is gone.
"I'm fine, I'll heal. Are you ok?"
"Yes." I gently look at his arm trying my best not to hurt him even more until something clicked.
I turn and look at Simon behind me. "Wait, you and Junior are together?"
"You pick up so slow." Eva comments disappointedly.
