Chapter 60 Michael
Chapter 60 Michael
After the rogue attack, we got rid of the ones dead and took the ones knocked out in the donjons at the castle. There hasn't been signs of the cure working, but they are alive. Everyone decided to take turns on watching them.
Now is Jeremiah and Daniel's turn. Jeremiah wanted all of his men on high alert so most are on watch duty and guarding along with a few of the werewolves.
I later took Andrew in a bathroom to clean his arm up. I already cleaned his wound and put dressing on it, and I slowly wrap with bandages.
"There. Should be healed in the morning."
"You're so sexy when you play nurse."
I blush and look down. "You look so cute when blush."
"Don't call me cute."
He pulls me in closer by the waist and rest his face in the crease of my neck. "Can you blame me?" He whispers.
He slowly leaves peppery kisses down to my collar bone. I close my eyes and grab him by his biceps as he gently bites on my mark. I bite my bottom lip not wanting to make any noise.
"Don't blame yourself because you couldn't save some of them." He whispers.
He pulls away and looks me in the eyes. "I don't."
It's the truth. It was hard at first but it doesn't bother me anymore. I couldn't save all of them so I have to get over it.
"Good." He places his hand on my butt and gently kiss me on the lips. My toes curl as if electricity surged through me when his hands rub on my bare back.
I wrap my arms around his neck bring him closer into a non existent space, deepening the kiss. Everything is ruined when Chris and Lucas begin to speak through the mind link.
"Did you see that?" Chris asks.
"Yeah, she got her wings back and didn't tell us." Lucas answers.
"Boy, I'm going to beat Andrew's ass for not telling me shit."
"And I know damn well Mia knows about it. She knows everything. And didn't tell me?"
We drop our heads and sigh. "We hearing you, dumbass." Andrew replied.
"Wait what?"
"That means-"
"Oh shit!" They said before closing the link.
Everybody heard what they said and now everybody knows that Elizabeth is back.
Andrew reluctantly pulls away. "I'll take care of this."
"I'll come with you." I said hopping off the counter.
"No. Stay here, you can maybe help them figure what's happening while I'm gone."
I nod agreeing with him. He quickly puts on the spare shirt they gave him before kissing me on the forehead goodbye.
I went straight to the donjon for any changes. I see both Jeremiah and Daniel were looking around bored out of their minds.
"Boys, let me take over."
"No, it's all good."
"Guys, leave." They both stop and look at each other sharing a look.
"Fine." Jeremiah answers first.
"Thank god." Daniel whispers getting up right away. "If you need anything, holler at us."
I chuckle at his choice of words and nod confirming I will before kicking them out.
I sit on the ground and let a breath at out. I look at all of their bodies laying limp, if I couldn't hear their heart beats, I would have think they were dead.
"I'm sorry you guys are going through this."
I lean my head back on the wall and look up at the ceiling.
"Little one." Simon sits next to me facing the cells. After some silence I decided to break it.
"Were you happy?" He looks at me questioningly. "With Junior. You care about him a lot."
He smiles like remembering moments. "Yeah. He took me in and helped me out through some dark times. He was there for me for the past year and...." He pause before continuing. "I love him." He smiles.
Simon and Junior's relationship is a huge surprise to me. Considering when I first met Junior he seemed more annoyed with Simon. But who the hell cares, the universe worked it's magic and brought them together. It's all I have ever wanted for Simon, to find the person for him.
Now it's ruined, he doesn't know where he is and a big part of Simon thinks he could be dead and that breaks my heart.
I rest my hand on his shoulder. "We'll find him, Simon." He smiles and rest his hand over mine. "Alive." I added.
Just then, we hear a scream from the cell with the first rogue we caught is. We quickly run to the cell to see what's happening.
The guy, it's like he's having difficulty shifting. He keeps shifting midday in human form then back to wolf form.
He roars in pain and I move to open the cell gate, not liking this but Simon stops me.
"Wait."
I stop and stare as he completely shifts back to human form. He lays on the ground, face down breathing heavy.
That was our cue to go in. We quickly run to him and I rest my hand on his arm. "He's really hot." I whisper. "Are you ok? What are you feeling?"
He doesn't answer and we turn him over on his back. His eyes turn from red glowing eyes to dark hazel eyes. He looks around confused and scared until his eyes land on me. "Thank you." He cries.
Right after we called Jeremiah and Daniel. We quickly got a nurse from the pack to check if he was ok. After 10 minutes of impatiently waiting the door opens and she steps out of the room.
"The cure is slowly getting the demon blood out of his system. He's been puking the blood out but he'll be fine in the next couple days." We thanked her and she left.
We all look at the door and I volunteer to go in first. I walk in and he looks drained. I look at him with sympathy and walk to the bedside.
"Hi."He lazily smiles at me. "I guess you're going to ok. How do you feel?"
He sighs and says, "Well I just went through hell and I feel like hell." He chuckles and I smile to be polite but I know he's going through much worse. "I'm Michael." He puts his out for a hand shake.
"I'm Elle." I shake his hand and he still felt a little warm. "You should get some rest, we can talk later."
"I'm that charming?" He asks.
"Uh......." I tilt my head confused until I realized what he was talking about. "Oh no, I-I meant about the demons." I stuttered. Did I give him wrong impression?
"I'm joking." He laughs. "I can tell your mated, plus I can tell you're expecting."
"How?" Werewolves usually can tell you're pregnant after two months or so. I'm not that far along.
He furrows his eyebrows in confusion. "I don't know. I just sense it."
"Oh, well I won't be far if you need anything."
He nods, before I leave the room he says, "Thank you."
I close the door behind me and I see the boys waiting outside. "He'll be ok." I informed them.
"Good. How long do you think the others will wake up?"
"Considering we gave him the cure about five hours ago, I guess we wait."
Jeremiah checks his watch, "3 and1/2 more hours to go."
An hour later Andrew returns and I fill him in with everything. Once he processed everything he begins to tell me what happened with the pack.
"Everyone is freaking out. I already explained everything to Chris and Lucas and they're fine for now but everyone wants to talk to you."
"Crap." I whisper under my breath.
"And on top of that, the packs are coming back."
"Why?"
"The rogues attacked them again and their attack was worse than ours. They lost a few members and need us for protection for now."
"This is their sign Andrew and we need to take it. Their coming."
"And we're going to fight them but first we can't waste anymore time. We need to know what they are planning." I agreed with him. The others joined us and we all went back in the room.
"I guess you're ready to talk now." Michael says as he sees all of us.
"Michael, what happened to you?"
"It was just a regular day until demons just surrounded me. The next thing I knew I was chained up in dark place the was insanely hot and smelt like rotten flesh. They kept feeding me their blood until I felt like I was burning up inside and then I blanked out." He looks straight at the wall, he looks so lost. "I don't remember anything."
We all share a look amongst each other and Jeremiah breaks the silence by asking, "And there is no way you can remember anything?"
"No."
'I can help with that.' Elizabeth surfaced but she wasn't in control.
'How?'
'You're going to go into his mind.' She simply says. 'Don't worry, it won't hurt him, well not too much and I'll guide you through." Contemplating on if I should do it until I give up. It's the only thing we got.
"Michael, would you mind if I tried something?"
"Uh...Sure."
They all look at me questioningly as I go behind him.
'Now place two fingers on his temples and concentrate. I'll do the rest.'
I did as she said and gasp as I begin to see through Michael's eyes, he's in the some dark donjon chained up. I could feel his pain, of the burning sensation all over my body.
"You think that's enough?" I deep voice asks in the background, that sends chills down my spine.
"A few more doses and they'll be ready to set sail." Another one answers.
"When do you think the boss is going to final finish them?"
"I'm not totally sure but I think it's soon. Between me and you, he seems to take this really personal. It's like him and the girl had a thing." He whispers.
"Don't be stupid. He doesn't have a caring bone In his body. That's why he's so good."
I hear footsteps coming this way. "Shut up, someone's coming."
I gasp as I am sucked back to reality and step away from Michael. Andrew runs to my side making sure I don't fall.
"What happened?"
"I-I didn't get much but the person running all this. He seems to be out for someone specifically."
"Who?"
"A her?" Who could that be?
"Her? You?" Simon asks.
"What? No, I'm not going around making friends with demons."
"You're just the only 'her' we know they know of."
"Maybe it's Lyra." Daniel suggests.
"No, no one knows about Lyra. If they did I think they would of attacked her."
"How do we know they haven't?"
'They have not.' Elizabeth informs me.
"No, they have not."
"Then who the hell is this 'Her'?"
"Liza." Michael mumbles.
We all turn to him. "What?" we ask in unison.
"Find Liza. That was my command."
