"Did you really have to?" I asked him again and when I wanted to take a last look over my shoulder at Brandon out of pity, Rian stopped me by cupping my chin between his fingers, forcing me to only look at him.
"Yes, because he will now think twice before speaking to you again and it was definitely worth it to me."
He raised an eyebrow in triumph and finally bit his lower lip seductively as he let his irises roam over my lips. His gesture made my heart beat faster again, but there was something else that suddenly came to mind and made me incredibly angry.
"Don't touch me," I ground out between my lips while stepping back to cross my arms and squint at him.
"Keeva,... stop that," he growled, slightly irritated, but when he tried to put his hand on my face again, I slapped it aside and bravely stood on my tiptoes.
"So you can just point your gun at an innocent guy for talking to me and I have to put up with that duster?!" I explained loudly, looking into his face that looked like he didn't really get what he was talking about I spoke at all.
"Duster?" he then repeated my words and when I wanted to roll my eyes he grabbed my waist tightly to bring his face so close to mine that I could feel his breath on my skin. I ignored the goosebumps that formed at his touch, still boldly looking up at him.
"I really take a lot from you, but you shouldn't push my self-control on you, Keeva," he breathed in a menacing voice, tucking my hair behind my ear while his eyes held mine. "Now tell me what a feather duster is..."
"The thing cleaning through your house half-naked!" I hissed, and a stupid grin cracked his lips instantly.
He actually laughed at me!
"You think that's funny too?"
"No," he shook his head slightly and came even closer to me, so close that nothing would have fit between us and then started kissing tenderly along the crook of my neck, which drove me crazy. I closed my eyes for a moment, surrendered to my feelings and sighed, but this topic was certainly not clarified for me. Did he think he was going to shut me up like that? Probably! Did he make it? Unfortunately yes!
But then I pulled myself together, ignoring the heat rising from his caresses and pushed him away from me with my hands on his chest.
"So?" I demanded an answer as to who this cheap bitch even was. After all, he had scared Brandon to death, probably out of jealousy, which made me proud, but I was jealous too, and my feelings were just as important as his.
"Selena is her name," he said casually, and I could feel that he was trying to provoke me with this short answer.
"Are you sleeping with her?" I then asked my biggest concerns straight out, whereupon the corners of his mouth twitched slightly and he looked me in the eye intently.
"In the moment not."
My mouth dropped in shock and I angrily turned away from him to stomp through the sand toward the villa.
Now she would definitely get the plate to the back of her head!_
"Hey, hey," I heard Rian behind me, who grabbed my hand, turned me around and hugged me tightly to his chest. "Don't freak out. Selena is a girl from Odran and I swear I've never touched her. I didn't even think about it," he whispered in my ear, grinning, and a satisfied smile immediately spread to my lips.
"Are you calmed down now?" he asked into the silence, but I stopped listening to him at all. I wrapped my arms longingly around his neck and looked up at him in love, which immediately caused him to place his lips fiercely on mine.
It didn't all seem normal to me, but I loved the feeling of his closeness and it made everything else unimportant...
Our kiss grew even more passionate as his tongue stormed my mouth and just realizing we were in the middle of the beach I pulled away slightly to look at him with a smile.
"Not exactly reassuring. After all, she's still walking around half-naked," I explained my concerns and he just nodded understandably.
"She won't anymore. Don't worry."
He breathed these words out at me and took my hand again to walk with me to the villa, where Nero was already panting because of the heat on the bottom step.
We quickly hurried up the stairs and while I arrived in the living room looking for the duster and Nero put out a bowl of fresh water, Rian sat down at the dining table and undid the top buttons of his black shirt.
"I don't want you to meet men on the beach anymore," he said suddenly and I nodded to him silently.
I had definitely lost interest in small talk with the neighbors. Brandon could probably be glad he was a crybaby or another hand or foot situation would have arisen.
"And I don't want half-naked women in the house anymore."
His gaze met mine and at the same moment, Odran came down the stairs with the feather duster.
The sight was just head-shaking. Both were completely sweaty and while Odran was only wearing boxer shorts, she was even less clad in her thong than he was.
With a raised eyebrow, I looked at Rian, who returned my gaze and immediately got up to grab Odran's arm and disappear up the stairs with him.
What was left was me and this Selena, who came right at me with her breasts made.
I wanted to avoid it, but there was no other way and I looked down at her very briefly, which she probably noticed very well.
"You like it, don't you?" she smiled, posing right in front of me at the kitchen island. "Must suck if you don't have one," she added with a dirty grin, which made me look for a plate.
"Don't be sad. Rian certainly has enough women to make up for that. It must be a tough time for him just to have something like that lying around."
Now it's enough!
When Rian came back down the stairs together with Odran, I ran towards them, foaming with anger, hugged Rian and easily pulled his gun out of his pants, then turned back to Selena and aimed exactly at her made-up breasts.
"Say it again," I warned her, feeling Rian's eyes on my back. That he didn't stop me at all puzzled me for a moment, but I didn't take my eyes off Selena.
"You don't even know how to make a waf-"
I cocked the gun very easily and ran a little further towards her, which made her gasp in shock. She stared past me for help, but I blocked her view.
"Say it again!" I repeated angrily and she just stuttered something incomprehensible, which made me grin contentedly.
I put the gun down again, turned to the men and immediately noticed a hint of pride in Rian's eyes.
"She'll think twice about speaking to me again," I said coolly and put the gun back in his hand, secured.
I then confidently ran up the stairs with Nero to my room, closed the door behind us and immediately took a few trembling breaths.
It was a really scary situation and otherwise I'd only shot cans in the woods with my cousins, but somehow I had to prove to Rian that I wasn't the weak little gypsy and what could be better than telling a stupid whore to prove.
RIAN POV
While Odran stood next to me in shock, Selena came up to us without a word, slapped him hard in the face and disappeared up the stairs with Keeva. She probably wanted to get dressed and leave.
I hoped at least.
"Should we be concerned?" my brother turned to me and I returned his gaze questioningly, because I didn't know what to worry about now. Except maybe about what a horny wife I had.
The corners of my mouth twitched slightly at the thought of her, my stomach churning with pride, until Odran cleared his throat, bringing me back to the here and now.
"About what?" I asked him irritated and he just grinned stupidly at me...
"Well, we've had more women with guns in the house than men in the last few days. Will that end well?" he laughed and I had to shake my head at the situation with a smile.
"At least we men pull the trigger for that," I smiled and patted his shoulder while steps came down the stairs behind us again.
"You guys can fuck me!" Selena hissed and gave Odran a look that should have made him die instantly. "Don't you ever call me again! Dirt guy!"
"But you just loved swallowing that bastard's cock," Odran commented on her screaming and we watched after her until she left the house stamping and the door slammed. "So she was really good at sucking!"
I narrowed my eyes slightly and glanced at the stairs, wondering why Keeva had rushed upstairs alone. She could hardly be mad at me. It wasn't my fault that Selena came strutting down the stairs in a thong and I had taken Odran aside to remind him of some discretion when it comes to his visits.
"Senan?" Odran then asked me, drawing my attention back to himself.
"I only caught a glimpse of him before I went to the beach," I replied with a shrug and basically didn't give a shit where this idiot was hanging out.
"What were you doing on the beach at that time?"
He preceded me to the kitchen and made us both coffee while I sat down on one of the stools and ran my fingers through my hair.
"Keeva was talking to some neighbor."
He nodded, gave me a confused look and suddenly grinned so stupidly that I immediately stared at him angrily.
"What's so funny about that?" I asked and he suddenly wiggled his eyebrows like an idiot.
"You care about her," he stated, apparently celebrating himself for his hard-to-miss statement.
"How could I not fall for her? Did you just see her?" I asked proudly, giving a small grin. I was really happy to open up to Odran.
He was the only one who had ever seen me cry on the darkest day of our lives and also the only one I could tell my true feelings to without feeling uncomfortable.
"I have to confess something to you," he suddenly said and I stared at him curiously while carefully taking my coffee from him. "On the day of the wedding, I didn't know there might be something more between you two than just a piece of paper and I really just wanted to scare her a bit," he began, scratching his head nervously, which was his already unruly one black hair twirled even more.
"Spit it out," I asked him impatiently and taking a deep breath, he leaned towards me.
"I told her the scars on my face are from you," he explained, and I immediately frowned at him.
"Why that?"
"Oh, Rian. I know how impulsive you can be and I immediately checked how stubborn she is. I didn't want her to provoke you and thought she would hold back a bit."
I grinned at him and shook my head in disbelief. Something like that could really only occur to him. But what occupied me more was the question why she still wanted to be close to me?
Apparently she thought I was someone who would disfigure her own brother...
Was she afraid of anything at all?
"I can clarify that if you want," Odran said, but I just waved my hand and took a sip of my coffee.
"Let her believe that for a while longer. She doesn't seem to mind."
We still drank our coffee together, chatted about business and he told me all the things my father wanted me to stay out of until Senan entered the house and we fell silent in an instant.
"Did I miss something?" he asked in a good mood and put several bags in front of us on the kitchen island, whereby you could guess from all the rattling that it was alcohol.
"Can you do anything other than drinking?" I snapped at him and got up to go upstairs to the bedroom, but he felt like he had to start talking again.
"Can you do anything other than constantly picking on me? I try my best," he commented on my words and I immediately nodded to the bags while he looked at me wistfully.
"You're doing too little useful, and all the more unnecessary," I said coolly and then took the stairs up.
Odran had forgiven him long ago... but I would never be able to.
