Chapter 45
Chapter 45
After dinner, all supernatural quests went back to their respectable places before leaving tomorrow. As it got later most people had already gone to bed or were making their way there. The only ones still awake moving about were the Vampires and warriors on duty patrolling.
The dragon shifters who came to train with them were also given quarters so they didn’t have to fly back right away. This was a unified, insistent decision made by Alpha Johnathon and Luna Timber, which Elder Rani couldn’t refuse.
The night was calm overall like it usually was at night in the Graves Pack. Those out and about were enjoying the newly lit areas from the newly installed motion lights. They weren’t so much placed for them, as it was for their guests and anyone who didn’t have the ability to see in the dark. Alpha Johnathon wanted the Graves Pack territory to be more supernatural friendly.
‘Alpha! Beta! There are rogues approaching the Eastern border!’ a voice sounded through Andrew and Alpha Johnathon’s min-links. Both being awakened abruptly from sleep.
‘How many? Don’t let them cross! On our way!’ Alpha Johnathon spoke quickly and with authority. “Timber, get dressed! It’s started. Rogues at the border.” he said, eyes shifting darkly.
‘Uh Alpha! There are hundreds! I don’t think we can hold that many off ourselves.’ a slightly panicked voice was heard again.
‘Do what you can, help is on its way.’ Alpha Johnathon ensured him.
Andrew shot out of bed shifting before his legs could even hit the floor. Layana, caught off guard by the action, seeing his urgency realized it must be starting, got dressed quickly and snapped her fingers to go get coven help.
‘Warriors get to your posts. Everyone needs to be secured. Get the pups and those who cannot fight into safehouses now!’ Andrew commanded, opening his link with great urgency while running in wolf form.
‘Alpha! Something’s… been seen at the Northern Border…annnd they’re not wolves…’ another voice ran through his head.
‘What do you mean ‘not’ wolves?’ Alpha Johnathon questioned. ‘What are they then?’
‘Uh Alpha? They’re… dragons?’ was said with uncertainty like they couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
Johnathon stopped. Turned to look at Timber, eyes in disbelief and said, “get the representatives from all those who came last night. We need them to get their people here now.” he spoke with a calm demeanor that left her understanding it was more than beyond important for this to happen.
Timber nodded, pulling her shirt over her head disappearing as soon as it went down her body.
‘Alpha! You won’t believe this, but there are Vampires trying to enter the Western border.’ still another voice rang through his head as Bane had already shifted once Timber left heading towards the North.
Slowing down at the new information that came through he knew he couldn’t be everywhere. Deciding he needed to be where he could be the most help, he and Bane transported themselves to the Western Border.

Knock, Knock, Knock. Was heard outside an inhibited cabin, causing a very upset looking security man to answer. “Do you know what time it is? What do you need, Luna?”
“My apologies for waking the Dragon Shifter Elder Rani, however it seems as though we are under attack and they are needed right now.” Timber spoke with authority, but also with respect for their guests.
The guard at the door nodded and closed it rather rudely, she thought. As she went to leave, she heard loud, unknown noises heard behind the door before five dragons broke through the roof and flew towards the North. Looking towards the right she saw the others also shift and fly off towards the North with their leader. Timber was amazed at how wide their wingspan was and the ferocity they fly with.
Transporting herself to the Vampire's cottage, she found the Vampire’s security already standing outside the door waiting for her. “Hello Luna Timber. We are aware of what is happening and Elder Keenan has already notified the others before he went to the Western border. I do believe he sent Vampires to all borders for assistance.”
He spoke with elegance in his voice. His facial expression showed no concern but she knew they understood the urgency of the matter. Timber only nodded and smiled, before he took off towards the fight himself.
‘Well that went well.’ Karin spoke. Causing Timber to chuckle a little and shake her head, transporting herself to the Faes cottage.
“My apologies for disturbing the Fae Elder Petroff, however it seems as though we are under attack and they are needed right now.” She said again to the man posted at the Fae’s door. He nodded, opened the door and Timber looked inside as they appeared to be playing and dancing? Walking just inside behind the man, she saw him lean down to the Fae Elder whispering something in his ear.
The Elder’s eyes slanted before he abruptly stood and started commanding his people. “Nannae, you and Loani help secure their people who cannot fight, into safety. Keanoe, go tell the others its time and have them report to each border equally in a blink. Everyone else! Come!” he bellowed out.
For a mischievous and playful people they are organized and fierce. Timber bowed her head to him as she disappeared heading to the Eastern Border.
Upon arrival she saw warriors fighting off rogue wolves everywhere. Johnathon was nowhere to be seen. ‘He must be at a different border.’ Karin stated while Timber nodded her head mentally.
Timber’s eyes burned like the sun seeing death move around her. Her hair flew in the wind she created, lifting herself off the ground to get a better view of where Shamira could be hiding.
Looking around she saw four rogues attacking a warrior. Slanting her eyes she called with her mind to them causing a disorientation to affect them so he could rise from their attack for a chance. Two more jumped on his back biting hard into him. She could feel his anguish as he continued to bravely fight them off. Seeing another jump to attack she threw energy balls at them, death evident and quick.
Timber continued to assist the warriors with the rogues on the Eastern border while some of the Fae’s fought there too. Feeling a shift in the air, she noticed witches had joined the fight, although she didn’t see Layana. She must be trying to protect Andrew. She thought to herself.
She heard chanting as spells were cast and wolves were killed. It seemed for every one they killed ten more would appear from nowhere.
~Northern Border~
Alpha Johnathon couldn’t believe what he was seeing. There were dragon shifters attacking from everywhere, but they looked and smelled like rogues. He shifted with Bane, taking on their Lycan form standing over seven feet tall. Amongst the others he was huge. Bane let out a horrid growl before howling, letting the men know he was there to help.
If a dragon got too close he would grab them by their huge wings ripping it off their bodies. It amazed the other Dragon Shifters that he could jump almost nine feet high. He jumped on top of a Dragon rogue pushing his claws into their neck.
Blood splattered below them, everywhere the rogue flew over, before he cracked their necks making them fall hard onto the ground. Bane would transport himself right before the rogue would hit on top of another one doing the same thing to them.
Fire and Ice was thrown all over the Northern territory as they fought each other. Dragon Shifters in the air fighting. Dragon shifters on the ground fighting. The Vampires were either feeding on some poor soul or ripping heads off and hearts out of bodies before moving to another unsuspecting victim.
Shamira and Jonas were still, nowhere to be seen.
~Western Border~
Layana moved around looking for Andrew between the borders until she found him at the Western. He was fighting off a vampire in wolf form. Rusty was ruthless as he ripped heads off biting into their necks. He would jump onto one clawing at their hearts to make them surrender with no prevail. He latched his fangs into their necks, shaking and biting vigorously until the head just came off.
Layana had never seen a wolf fight like that before. She would have been disgusted if it wasn’t for him being her mate. She actually felt a little turned on at his protective aggression, before she realized they were in a war and that was probably not the best time to be thinking that way.
Getting her head in the game, she saw another vampire and two wolves heading towards her mate. Angry filled her as she saw their deceptive movements. Saying a little chant she lifted her hands quickly, raising them in the air before closing her hands in a tight ball causing the attackers bodies to squeeze inward. Releasing her hands and shaking them just as violently they exploded everywhere.
Rusty seeing them being lifted from him during the fight, he realized Layana was there. Rusty licked his snout, huffed before howling in awe of his beautiful mate. She stayed at the Western Border helping him fight off the intruders until needed elsewhere.

Shamira was still nowhere to be seen. At first it appeared the coward she was had sent others to do her dirty work until death. The Graves Pack, Vampires, Faes, Dragon shifters and witches all were fighting them off valiantly. The more they killed, the more that seemed to show up.
The witches spread themselves out amongst the territory to help wherever needed. The Southern border had yet to be invaded, but Alpha Johnathon knew they would be well protected being that was where all warriors were trained and Andreas had hundreds more recruits he’d been training over the last month just for the occasion.
Timber continued to help at the Eastern Border since it was the closest to the main living area of the territory. Throwing energy balls at approaching rogues. Creating force fields for those who were about to be attacked blindly while fighting. She was getting drained with the use of her energy both offensively and defensively at the same time.
‘Boys where are you’ she mind-linked Marcus and Myles.
‘Mommy we are hiding in our tree. Do you want us to come down?’ Marcus replied back.
‘No baby. Can you see the fighting?’ She asked in hopes they could help with protection like they had practiced.
‘Yes mommy. But we’re scared.’ Marcus replied. His voice shaking in the link.
‘I know baby. I want you two to stay far away from here. Stay where you are… but see if you can help mommy with force fields ok?’ She said softly and calmly although she was in the middle of throwing an energy rope at a rogue snapping him in two.
‘Yes mommy. Invisible ones?’ He asked back.
‘Yes baby. Invisible ones. We love you. Stay hidden and safe my loves.’ she said back, killing another two rogues with energy ropes before closing the link.
After speaking with her boys, Timber started to see rogues who were trying to attack their warriors, being thrown back before even touching them. She smirked knowing the boys were making it happen. She saw them shake their heads at the sudden push back only to get up and try again.
Timber continued to throw energy balls and ropes at them. She could see the witch's powers being used around her as well. But there were just so many of them.
Alpha Johnathon could tell Bane was starting to lose energy fighting the dragon shifters. ‘Timber. Have you seen Shamira yet? We need to get this over with.’ he wearily said through their link.
‘I know, and no I haven’t. The coward is hiding.’ she seethed back.
‘Andrew have you seen the Queen yet?’ Timber asked through the link. Unable to fully answer, he grunted and said no.
‘Where is she!?’ Karin said, irritated.
They fought with the Shamira’s army and rogue supernaturals like this for what seemed like hours before she was finally seen.
