Chapter 47
Chapter 47
Timber transported them into an inbetween place. It was like a suspended realm between worlds. Nothingness lurked in the corners everywhere one would look. Only the dimmest of light illuminated the space as Timber aloud to be. It was a neutral place she thought of as in a dream state. There were no walls. No ceiling. Nothingness. Just a pale whiteness could be seen for miles.
“Where have you taken me? What is this place?” Shamira questioned, trying to look around frantically with her eyes, as her head wouldn’t move. She could no longer hear the sounds or smell the stench of the victorious battle she was sure she was winning.
“It doesn’t matter where we are.” Timber spoke as she slowly walked around her, her hands gently folded together behind her back. Shamira was still suspended in the fighting stance she was last positioned in.
“Let’s have a little sisterly chat shall we?” Timber asked her sweetly as Shamira heaved in annoyance.
“We may be sisters by blood, but I AM NOT your sister!” she bellowed back.
“Fair enough.” Timber shrugged. “It’s not like we ever had sleepovers or told each other secrets or anything.” pausing for effect as she bent down just enough to get face to face with her.
“In fact…. You threatened me. You threatened my pack, and you threatened my… entire family.” she growled each word with darkened eyes, seething as she listed off everything Shamira threatened she held dear.
“You are nothing Timber. You were not even supposed to be!” Shamira spat back. Timber’s eyes grew even darker as Karin pushed forward and growled in her face. Teeth baring.
“I am the rightful ruler of the werewolves. Not you! A dingy servant. That’s what you were and that’s what you will always be!” Shamira growled and spit in her face. Her hatred for anyone or thing that could threaten her very life, evident.
Timber wiped the spit from her face standing back up, placing her neatly folded hands in front her. Her laughing was the only thing Shamira could hear, causing her brows to furrow at the sound.
“You honestly believe I came here to take the throne from you?!?” Timber choked out between laughs.
“You brought me into your problems and insecurities. I never wanted it, nor did I ask for the gifts of the Elders.” she scoffed again, bending down in front of her while she spoke. The laughing now stopped. Putting the blame back on the one who it belonged to.
“If you had just left me alone I would never have known about any of this or my past. I was content living my life with that ignorance. This was all YOUR fault! Not mine.” Timber growled at her again standing to slowly walk around her once more.
“Liar!” she growled. Shamira was so blinded by her own insecurity and hatred, she couldn’t see how she was responsible for her own self-destruction. “As soon as the elemental gift awoke in you, you wanted what I had. Admit it!” she seethed through suspended air.
Timber only laughed at her again. Shaking her head in disbelief. She truly was brainwashed into thinking I would want something I never knew existed. Timber pitied her. How could someone with so much have so much low self-esteem.
“As soon as I unfreeze, I am going to rip your heart out and feed it to your disgusting mate!” she growled again.
At the hearing of our mate being belittled, Karin pushed forward causing hair to sprout on her arms as her teeth elongated as with her claws. Shamira’s eyes widened seeing her go into a half shift. “Speak of my mate once more and I will eat your heart.” Karin growled at her as she turned around to look her straight in the eyes. Fear was evident in her eyes at the sight of Karin.
Before anything else could be said, a loud painful scre*m pierced the still air as Shamira felt her bond with Jonas break. Still being suspended in her fight stance, the pain radiated out from her body causing it to shake slightly from the sudden impact of its breaking. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead as she screeched and howled in pain. Tears involuntarily leaving her eyes falling to the floor beneath them.
“You feel that?” Timber bent down to eye level mockingly again. “That Shamira… is the pain of your mate bond breaking.” She smirked, not feeling at all remorseful for her pain. Realization evident on Shamira’s face Jonas was now dead.
Releasing her from the suspended state she was in, Shamira fell to the ground with a loud thud. Curling up into a ball she cried as she held herself. Coming to her senses she stood up after just moments. Her red energy moved in and out of her like solar waves on the sun. The hatred and loathing she felt for Timber was magnified as she felt her mate bond disintegrate.
Timber held her energies close to the surface for easy access. She has gotten used to having it at her fingertips. Shamira glowed red as her eyes shone a deep crimson. Lunging at Timber growling, Timber held onto her in anticipation of it teleporting them back to their realm.
Shamira, shocked at the sudden transporting, looked around in slight confusion as she took in her new surroundings once again. The morning sun rapidly approached on the horizon. Collecting herself she reached within, pulling her energy out when Timber pushed the energies towards her in one swift movement. The move causes her to fly backwards into a few of her own warrior rogues knocking them down as well.
Shamira growled angrily, getting up she rushed towards Timber slamming her back hard to the ground. Tentacles of red energy tried to wrap themselves around her. A grunt left Timber as they hit. Karin taking over at the contact shifted under Shamira. Sinking her teeth into her neck, shaking her head vigorously to dislodge her larynx from behind the flesh encasing it.
Gurgling noises were heard sputtering out from Shamira as Karin bit harder, closing her jaws with each shake, before her throat was detached from her neck. Shamira’s red energy flickered in strength as she died on top of Karin.
Spitting her windpipe out of her mouth, Karin shifted back, allowing Timber to take control. The metallic taste in Timber’s mouth made her gag as she spit out a large chunk of Shamira’s neck meat from her mouth. Pushing Shamira’s dead body off her own, to stand up.
Releasing a loud howl, everyone stopped all over the territory as it vibrated and radiated throughout the land. Hearing the howl from their Luna, howls were heard in return. Alpha Johnathon and Bane, and Andrew and Rusty hearing her voice howled back with their own pride.
Victory was heard through those howls causing the Vampires, Faes and their people, the witches and the Dragon Shifters to call out as well. Confusing anyone who was not with them.
Attacking with more ferocity until there was a retreat, leaving only the dead to litter the grounds from the Eastern border to the Western and up towards the North. The safe houses and Southern Border had never been touched. Waiting and ready for their Alpha’s command.

After assessing the casualties along each of the borders where the war took place, heads were bowed in respect for the fallen. Each Elder and high ranking wolf stood at the border they were fighting in and mourned for their loss, as well as the loss of those who came to help.
The Elders, Alpha Johnathon and Luna Timber started to feel each member’s link break as if it was happening at that precise moment. Heads hung low and hands over their hearts, some mourned silently, as others howled into the relentless dawning of the new day. For the lives that were given so willingly to save the collective.
Alpha Johnathon found Timber as they rounded all the Elders and Head Mistress Layana in one place, near the center of the Graves Pack’s territory. Knowing the Vampires were not going to be able to stay outside long with the sun rapidly approaching.
“On the behalf of the werewolf species, my pack and family I extend a thank you, to you all for your alliance in this war. Please join us tonight as we celebrate those that fell honorably today.” Alpha Johnathon said, pulling Timber closer to him by the waist and kissing her temple.
“We are forever grateful for all of your leadership and the aid from your Kingdoms. Your allegiance from here forward is protected within our leadership.” Timber chimed in.
“Alpha Johnathon and Luna Timber. We thank you from the depths of the moon for allowing us to fight alongside you to venge our own people.” Elder Rani spoke with gratitude as she stood with her hands neatly folded in front of her.
“You will always be welcomed in our kingdom as our alliance will be coveted until the end of time.” she added with a smile and a nod. “If you would excuse me, I need to get our fallen’s death arrangements made and make preparations for the future.” They nodded back respectfully as she left their presence heading back to the little cabin she was inhabiting while visiting.
“The Vampires feel the same Alpha Johnathon and Luna Timber. Please let us know if there is anything further needed for our assistance. If you would excuse me, I am needing to make sure everyone got inside as the sun has almost completely risen.” Elder Keenan spoke hopefully and nodded before taking his leave as well.
“Thank you Elder Keenan. Please go do whatever you need to keep your people safe.” Luna Timber spoke up, relieving him.
Elder Petroff stood there silently waiting. He knew Timber would have questions about what happened today.
