After Padraig left and Tina disappeared into the bedroom with her barkers, I made myself comfortable on the small couch with a blanket and pillow and tried to hide the pain completely.
But it wasn't just the wounds on my body that hurt me, but also the realization that I somehow had no one...
"Fuck it," I whispered to myself, pulling out my phone, but neither my brothers nor Keeva had called, and even though I'd been gone for almost three days...
They will probably have their reasons... Maybe just a lot to do...
I was about to go to Irina's course when I suddenly heard soft noises in front of the house...
It was pitch black in here, so nobody outside would see me through the window. With certainty and a racing heartbeat, I got up off the couch as quietly as I could and stood to the side of the window, where I saw a car down the road ahead, and a person getting out with their hood down had pulled a face. The stature and size were also petite, which immediately made me widen my eyes in shock...
Die fucking Chinesen!!!
They probably knew that I just hadn't warned my brothers and now they wanted to teach me a second lesson!
When the person ran to the door with a bag in his hand, I imagined all sorts of filter tools in it and by God, these people couldn't get Tina too.
I quickly ran into the hallway and hid behind the door. My breathing was only jerky, my heart was already aching with excitement and when the front door suddenly opened and the person was standing right in front of me, I grabbed them and pressed them with my arm against the neck against the wall behind them.
"You fucking slit eyes!", I cursed and ripped the hood off my face to suddenly look my psychologist Mandy straight in the eyes. She looked just like me, just probably not as bad. One eye was black, there was a deep cut on her nose and even her lip was completely swollen on one side.
"Senan?" she whispered, only slowly recovering from the shock, as did I.
"Mandy?!", I suddenly heard Tina's voice right next to me and with a look at my arm on Mandy's neck she immediately came towards me and yanked me away from her.
"That's my sister!" she explained excitedly and then closed the front door behind us after checking if all the dogs were still in the hallway. "So, let's go into the living room and settle things one by one. Sit down, I'll make tea."
"I'd rather have a coffee," Mandy said shyly, and after giving me a quick look, she followed her sister into the living room.
I also followed the two, still completely perplexed, and when I saw that Mandy sat down on the couch, I didn't know exactly what to do now. After all, I had just attacked her and she looked like she had fallen victim to Chinese too.
"And what happened to you?", she suddenly asked me in her soft voice and looked into my eyes for a moment before she turned her gaze back to Moon, who made himself comfortable on her lap.
"Slant eyes," I explained and then pointed at her. "And with you?"
She took a deep breath and I thought she was trying not to burst into tears at that moment. Somehow I had to admit that despite everything, she looked totally cute and triggered something in me, but I quickly suppressed it again.
"That was my loving husband."
"He must really love you," I breathed angrily at the sight of her and then sat down next to her on the couch.
Now I felt like I was in therapy again, especially when Tina came back with a tray of cookies and coffee.
"You know each other?" she concluded with a look at us and sat down in front of us on the small yellow armchair.
"He's my patient," Mandy explained, laughing and shaking her head.
"Although that's probably in the past."
"Why the past?" I wanted to know and she turned a bit towards me to run her fingers over her face.
"Do you really think someone like me can help others?"
We looked into each other's eyes in silence for a while until Tina broke out of the rigidity.
"My God. Then I'll give you therapy. You should move out of the asshole and file for divorce as soon as possible!"
"Aber-"
"But nothing, Mandy! And you should talk to your brothers!" Tina then turned to me. "After all, Rian is Dublin's mafia boss. Little Chinese shouldn't play a role in that!"
As if what was said was the most normal thing in the world, Tina took a biscuit and stared back and forth between us, while Mandy's eyes now fell on me.
"You're with the mafia?"
"No," I said immediately, looking at Tina, who grinned and raised an eyebrow and chewed on her cookie like she was watching an exciting movie.
"Well, maybe," I admitted, looking back at Mandy who was swallowing hard and nervously fiddling with her gray cardigan...
"Do you have a problem with that?" I asked bluntly at her nervous reaction, but she only shook her head slightly.
"You must be dangerous," she murmured, and I immediately defended myself to her.
"Certainly no more dangerous than your husband, I can promise you that. We in the mafia are only baking muffins and changing diapers at the moment anyway," I grinned and Tina had to smile too, while Mandy looked back and forth between us completely confused.
"It's best if we go into the bedroom and you calmly tell me what happened, then Senan can sleep for a while," Tina suggested and after Mandy nodded in agreement, they both got up and after saying GOOD NIGHT they left the room.
How am I supposed to sleep after all this?
Lost in my thoughts, I grabbed one of the cookies and thought about just killing Mandy's bastard. At the same time, the idea of entrusting myself to my brothers came up ...
"What a shit," I cursed under my breath and dropped back onto my pillow to stare at the ceiling, completely overwhelmed, until my phone suddenly vibrated.
6 p.m. tomorrow at my place. I have a surprise for you. Irina
